- The Bainbridge reflex (or atrial stretch reflex) describes the reflex that causes an increase in heart rate in response to an increase in atrial filling. This is parasympathetically mediated and the vagus nerve serves as both the afferent and efferent limb of the reflex. The reflex itself occurs within the medulla oblongata.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge professor sam
7:00 "vaguely mediated thing" subtle pun.😮
You explained really well. Thank you.
Very Helpful
Heyy man, where did you get your anatomy model, the one in the back left
yeaaa i was wondering the same thing, he should really answer this question this time
yea word its only the 100th time it was asked
yea i really wanna kno where he got that from too
how to buy this products? do you have website or homepage? my country is south korea.
Does bainbridge reflex help to reduce the atrial pressure?
Yes, that's a way of thinking about it. More blood enters the atria, the heart rate increases as a result of the Bainbridge reflex and more blood is pushed through the heart.

But, Sir, my question posted in previous videos still remains unanswered....
