As a lifelong Braves fan, the 1999 team is my all time favorite…maybe because of the nostalgia of graduating HS this year but the classic games in the regular and post season and Chipper solidifying his place in the elite class was just magical…Them losing in the WS sucked but their place in my heart will always be there…thanks as always for the upload
The very next night the Braves scored 4 in the ninth off Rivera, highlighted by a go-ahead three-run homer by Andruw Jones that was a high fastball. It was an amazing job of getting on top of a high fastball. After that Mo only gave up one earned run the rest of the year.
1999 was such a magic year. They really rose to the occasion in face of insane adversity. It was a miracle to go to the World Series despite no Galarraga, Lopez, Ligtenberg, and Seanez.
Yep, I remember seeing a shot of John F. Kennedy Jr. at the Yankee game during the highlight packages.....never knowing that a few days later I'd wake up & the 1st thing that I heard was 'Plane carrying JFK Jr. & his wife goes down into the waters off of Martha's Vineyard'....😮
I went to game 3 of the series which was the day we learned of jfk jr’s passing (died the previous night after game 2). It’s surreal seeing him on camera here

1998 , 2003 , 2005 , 2010 , 2018 and 2021 were fun teams too.
