hi, i am an absolute beginner and i am planning to make this bag for my little sister. I was wondering how you started off the strap of the bag, since there were two ends and not one. Please clarify it for me.
Should each row always have 19 stitches or are the increases and decreases included in the 19 stitches?
I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I do as you do and mark my stitches and somehow my stitches are getting fewer the more rows I do. It all goes to hell in row 4 or 5 and I have re done the whole thing multiple times. I count and it gets fewer and fewer stitches. WTH is wrong here? Help
14:36 I use 2 different color: purple and green stitch markers. One side is always decrease and the other side is always increase. Always! When you finish the row with dec, begin the next with dec. When you finish the row with inc, begin the next with inc.
For example:
Row 1: inc, sc stitches, dec
Row 2: dec, sc stitches, inc
Row 3: inc, sc stitches, dec
Row 4: dec, sc stitches, inc

Hey, how can I make the depth larger than 5cm? (So I can put things like a water bottle)
You need to add a base. There are different options. Sewing a base on it or crochet the bottom part of the bag adding some rows to creating a base.

1. taller: add more chains at the beginning

You can double the chains and rows. The lady in the video used 23 chains and 25 rows, so if you want a bag 2 x as big as hers, you make 46 chains and 50 rows, 3x is 69 chains and 75 rows and so on....
