    I had depression for years. I took prescribed medication and went to regular therapy sessions to address it. One day, I quit my job, broke up with my girlfriend, stopped taking pills and moved towns. My depression was gone within 2 weeks and has never come back. That was 7 years ago. Depression is your minds way of telling you it’s time to change your life. Just my experience.

      He's just correctly realized he's never been depressed despite the msm trying to brainwash him into becoming a woman to cure himself of human emotions. The opposite of happy is not depression and does not need lifelong medication to manage.

    • @michaelistoma8356
      @michaelistoma8356 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      He's basically saying there is no depression if you don't believe in it and compared mental disorder to believing in ghosts. Are you delusional or what? Depression is not an emotion problem. Listen to what Ben said. Jesus you can't even disagree with absolutely wrong statement because of bigotry.

    • @taznaz1383

      @@michaelistoma8356there's clinical depression where people actually suffer from a chemical imbalance, and then there's a depression that you yourself create to limit yourself. Lost a loved one - depression. Lost a pet - depression. Broke up with a gf/bf - depression. Divorce - depression. This is the type he's talking about, where you willow in sadness unable to move on when nothing is actually physically stopping you from coming out of it. He's an excellent example, he went to one of the worst jails in Romania and came out giving interviews and podcasts and is living like it never happened. If it was anyone else, they'd recluse from the public eye and have PTSD and would need therapy.

    • @johnhines623
      @johnhines623 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@michaelistoma8356you need to rethink that and learn what depression is vs mental illness. Depression is not real if YOU DONT GIVE IT POWER. in other words you wallow in self pity or you grow from the situation. So like he said depression isn’t real. It’s a self inflicted mental setback.

    • @corpusarmatae8541
      @corpusarmatae8541 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@taznaz1383 Keep in mind, *to this day* this "chemical imbalance" has never been backed up by any hard evidence. It is simply a convenient excuse to justify making people gobble up pills. But we're the biggots for drawing conclusion based on hard evidence and our own experience. (sidenote: we also don't actually know how painkillers work, we just see it does, but let's draw conclusions about neuro-psychological theories... How could they be more reckless? For real, they tinkering with our brains there)
      Funny how another thing Tate mentioned in this interview, that Ben skipped entirely, was the very fact the matrix use this kind of things to make you deny your own senses. Believing in depression is exactly like thinking the sky is green.

    I was depressed for 8 years straight. Awkward as hell, socially distanced myself from the world and used drugs and alcohol to escape my reality. But when I listened to Mr Tate and worked on my body, took control of my mind and economic situation and took up the responsibility that was mine to pick up, I formed an identity that was deeper than any i had before. I became confident, strong (mentally and physically and spiritually), I found God and purpose. Get your six pack first and the rest will follow...

      Exercise is proven to be as good or better than ssri drugs in helping depression, I expect it's higher than that with cardiovascular exercise.... And if exercising in nature eg running through a field or forest esp with a dog I'd wager the outcome will be 2x as good as SSRI meds. Even a walk in nature amongst trees or alongside the ocean has been proven to raise spirits.

      You don't need a 6 pack and for most people that is unattainable. You just need to live a healthy lifestyle.
      First you need God because without God you will look to yourself for all the answers, and we don't have the answers only God does. Then live a healthy lifestyle. The Bible says that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. That means we have to be careful what we consume both with entertainment and with food.

      @jasperwijnbeek2842 The fact that you made this comment is by definition why freedom of speech matters.
      Think about it, your ability to even say 'nazi thoughts' on the internet is super important. You can't do that without freedom of speech. Without being able express your thoughts as speech (no matter what they're about) we lose the ability to debate it. We also lose the ability to learn from history and avoid making the same mistakes again. We couldn't even have this conversation we're having right now.

No sex drive, spaced out like a prisoner in there own minds. Getting out of a bad situation in that condition doesn't seem likely even if you are prone to negative thoughts i do not think anti depressants help as much as hurt except for the MOST rare of cases. Clinical depression doesn’t need a “reason” to strike though. You can be a 100% happy wealthy confident man with children and a family you love and provide for and if the brain chemistry goes the wrong way you could wake up with an intense feeling of sadness and suicidal thoughts for 0 reason whatsoever. You could be happy one day and miserable the next with no changes between the days. When people kill themselves you always hear from family interviews “there was no signs he was such a healthy happy person”. Depression isn’t the same as “sad” which is what many of you (and tate) are equating it to. Saying not believing in it will make it go away is like saying not believing in cancer will make the cancer go away

      @@andrewmowbray7035 on the one hand anyone can have depression but the thing is when people say in interviews there were no signs if you ask friends instead of family around 80% of the time the friends will say ye there were signs he was depressed but in a lot of families especially if their have more older and traditional values the attitude tends to lean towards ignore the issue of mental health rather then address it which has been the case with most people i know who had or have depression. hell when i had my spiral and was off the deep end for years the only person in my family who directly made effort to help was my mother everyone else it was out of site out of mind.
      the issue is in a interview no family is going to admit they ignored the signs even if the person who killed themselves ran round with a sign for 2 weeks before doing it because people are selfish and very few people are going to destroy their own public reputation like that after you have already killed yourself.
      also equating depression to cancer as someone who nearly went off permanently is in no way in my eyes a fair argument cancer cannot be solved with you taking control depression most definitely can as someone who was diagnosed as a risk and with clinical depression for several years I can confirm the only thing that stopped me bettering myself and digging myself out of the hole was a lack of control and understanding of what pushed me that far and while I cannot speak for a few people iv known over the years who were in similar situations I believe they would agree with my points.
      also while i do not like Andrew Tate's stance on most things his points about depression being over diagnosed from my experience are valid since when i was receiving treatment and therapy i was aware of several people who i personally knew who apparently went through the system of care i did and i know at least 3 of them admitted they weren't really depressed plus i questioned my doctor about it and apparently 70 to 95% of people who ended up in the intensive help system of care i did concerning depression and suicide after observation were deemed they didn't need help and while that is only my city it does paint a picture of overdiagnosis that only gets picked up on once it's been escalated although i will admit those people did apparently have other issues that needed help just not that much help.
      now obviously if you have depression caused by imbalanced brain chemistry taking control will not get you as far as someone with situational or causal depression or someone with secondary depression the amount of people who have depression from imbalance and then kill themselves the next day is in the minority the majority of people who are depressed are normally suffering situational depression or secondary depression which are both holes to be climbed out of.

    He’s not talking about cognitive behavioral therapy. He’s talking about something much more like faith. You could say belief, but you can believe something to be true without acting on it, or having trust/faith in it. If you have faith (again, trust), you move into action. Trust moves us towards the object of our faith. Cognitive behavioral therapy can go on for a lifetime and never arrive at remedy. I at least relate with Tate’s experience of refusing to believe the lies, and therein overcoming depression. The biggest diff between me and Tate in that scenario is that he has never been depressed, and I was downright depressed, diagnosed bipolar, all kind of disorders, drugs, sickness, almost went off the deep end - and yet with that kind of tenacious refusal to accept any darkness (or depression) as real, and with God to empower me, yeah. Over time I was able to completely and totally get free to where now depression has NO PLACE in me or my life. In fact, I support other people’s joy. And it’s not bc I’m special or strong. It’s just that the truth really does set you free.

ANYONE can spout all sorts of highfalutin' "positivity" and encouragement" while being 100% DESPICABLE. He's playing you all for FOOLS and you are happy to have it so. Slavery was a key component, but not the main driving force (as Robert E. Lee explained at the time). And 2) Depression most certainly exists...but is probably mostly caused by our dysfunctional society, meaning that when things fall apart in our lives, the normal healthy support of family, religion, neighbors, etc. is missing. I'm starting to think the entire mental health industry is completely BS. Why? Well, it's like I told my therapist before I stopped seeing her.....

The truth is, most situations and issues in life have shades of grey. It's not simply black or white. My ex is a borderline and she only started to get better when she acknowledged that she had it and actually tried to fight it.
      What I would recommend to you is start a journal where you note down everything which you feel is connected to you possibly having BPD. Every time you made an emotional decision and every time you didn’t make one. That will allow you to identify patterns in your behavior and you can also give it to your next therapist for further analysis.
      I’m obviously a bit biased towards taking the diagnosis seriously because I saw the pain of her condition first hand and also felt it myself (one time I stopped her last second while she was in the process of strangling herself with a rope).
      But even taking that bias out of the picture, most borderlines don’t accept they have it and engage lack the ability to reflect on their emotional behavior. Mainly because they are so deeply ashamed of it that delude themselves into not having it.
      Anyways, I think you get my point. Just reflect on it that’s all I can say.

Psychologists have been talking about this for a long time; go read "The Myth of Mental Illness" by Thomas Szasz for reference. I’ve had depression so bad that it almost killed me. I didn’t get therapy, i didn’t get medication, but my mom was there for me and got me through it. Depression is a real thing and mental illness exist. BUT you don’t exactly need medication to fix it, all you need is a supportive person to be there for you, maybe some therapy, and mediating and taking the time to question things without feeling insane. Just accepting what you are and who you are, what you look like, what your personality is, just accepting that gave me peace, And my depression went away. I still struggle with some anxiety and adhd / autism, but I’ve accepted it and that makes it a whole lot better to manage without medication or even a diagnosis.

      Secondly, we’re you Andrew’s brother or sister? How do you know all about Andrew’s childhood besides what Andrew openly states? I have never heard Andrew call his father a “sadistic abusive addict.” Also, just because you disagree certain punishments (within reason) doesn’t mean it’s malicious, sadistic abuse. For example, some people call spanking abuse. I was spanked a few times as a child and it is most definitely not abuse (in my opinion). It was solely to teach me that doing x thing is wrong. My parents rarely used it.
      Where is the evidence of all the hasty claims you have laid out? I just watched the PBD interview with Andrew and Tristian and they seem to have an affinity towards their father. Sure, keeping your two boys in a room for hours to teach them not to fight with one another is definitely unconventional, but how would you say that’s sadistic abuse? Also in what way was their father addicted? (I have never heard of this and I am genuinely curious where you saw this)

    When Tate articulates his thoughts, it's always from a deeply personal viewpoint. His conversations are devoid of imposition, never insisting that you should echo his sentiments. Tate merely lays bare his reality, albeit sometimes with an intensity that can ruffle feathers. A multitude of people often find themselves stepping into his shoes, despite the fit not being quite right for their own truths. This incongruity is precisely what stirs up a storm of controversy around him.
