  • I have been going to the wind tunnel for the past seven years to check my bike setup and to find some aerodynamic gains. Since this is my last season, I'm sharing my secrets from the past years as well as the improvements we found in this year's session.

I didn’t know you had a TH-cam. You are so fast ! 🚴 💨 I seen you at clash Miami. I did the kids triathlon. I’m doing my first sprint triathlon in ft. Desoto next week. Wish me luck.

This is super insightful - thank you for sharing! 😊
I was just wondering if you could elaborate slighlty more on the 8 watts saving due to moving bottles from "in-frame" to the back you did a few years ago?
Particularly, by "in-frame" you mean aero bottles that clip onto the frame, not an in-frame intergrated bladder (like what they have on newer canyon speedmax)?
Also, would love to learn more about your drivetrain setup. What do you prefer for what course? 1x? 2x? Or maybe even the classified powershift hub? 😀

It is so impressive what modern technology can achieve in terms of saving watts. I am not sure the sport benefits much though, if we get to the point where races might be decided mostly on who has the best tech support and gear. That said this is probably already the case today so maybe we just have to accept that the tech has come to stay.

Are those watt savings at 45 kmh or at what speed?

I was surprised that the IA2.0 is "just" 4 Watts faster than the IA. The first version is on the market since 2014. Felt moved from rim to disc brakes some years ago and added a simpler front with the IAx, but other than that, the frame remained the same. They really did their homework back then. And I don't think that the current top notch bikes of the other manufacturers are faster than the IA 2.0 or the "old" IA.
