Thank you for your video explaining it. I was thinking of starting but I wasn’t sure exactly how to set it up. This makes a lot of sense. Also, you said “10k in 100 days” and for a minute I was like “this is going to be really hard” but then I said to myself, “I don’t have to do it in 100 days IN A ROW!” I can do 2 days a week and take a year to complete the 100 envelopes! Or 6 months if I do 4 envelopes a week. So that makes sense why some people pull randomly because it forces you to save but might give you some breathing room if money is really tight that week. I hope you were able to stick with it!

Yes ! That’s what I also thought! I also said to myself” okay if I get paid I can probably do 5 envelopes at a time”. And that’s what ima do. Not one each time. For myself I think I can do 1-10 for the week I get paid and then in two weeks do 10-20 and so on.

Saving doesn't bring financial freedom, the right i nve stment does. Its best to always look for means to multiply money. There are lots of opportunity right now.

It's one reason I opted for a FA Stuart Wilkins who's constantly identifying lucrative positions to multiply my annual earnings with profits from s tocks, forex and others. My husband and I did this and even though we share the same bank account together, we still decided to do this separately … …. So My husband and I did this and I did my own shoebox of envelopes and he did his own shoebox of envelopes…and we both made 20,000$ …
It was fun and challenging but it’s totally doable!! We just opened and counted our shoe box yesterday!! Thank you so much we want to start over again now 😃

Omg, this was super helpful! I want to start, and I have money in my savings account, so do I withdraw it then every day put that amount into an envelope or every day are you going to the atm to withdrawal the funds? I don't work a job that pays me cash every day (dancer, bartender, etc)...

It's really good. The most amount that you put once is the last day and it's 200 bucks if I get that right.. Everyone can do this, I mean it can last longer than 100 days, most important this is that you're saving money.
Thank you. I will do this challenge.. I do you get paid twice a month from my job the 15th and the 30th of the month so I will triple up the money to pull out of each paycheck that will add up and accumulate to the 100 days. I will be back to keep you posted on my results.
So how much go in each envelope?
You gotta make the cash to save the money ....so..yeah! Once income starts flowing in then you can redirect it to the savings pot.
Just to be realistic. You may have to make at least $3000k a month in order for this to work, or at least $100 daily. This does not include costs of living. This will not work for everyone. Calculate how much you get paid per month, living expenses, etc and save what you can afford to save.
I would recommend have a side hustle like door dash or something to make the money daily
I agree. This is a challenge for rich people. What I do not like in those challenges is that no one says about income and expenses what is essential. Who earns such big amount of money to be able to save 3300 $ a month?? And truly speaking. If I earned so much I would simply put 3300 $ in an envelope every month. It is no reason to use 100 envelopes. It has no sense to me.
@@martaontheway5921 do this challenge for 1 year instead in 100 days? Each week select 2 envelopes and put money in there. You will save 10000 by the end of year.

If your keeping your envelopes in order and pulling one a day for 100 days...instead of the mixing them up... and pulling 2 a week like the original challenge then be prepared to put away $980.00 in your last week alone. If you got that kinda cash then awesome! Just sayin this method might not work for everyone.

I'm starting this challenge this week. I mixed up my envelopes and made sure I spread out the bigger numbers as best I could. That way it won't be so expensive towards the end.

You got to have the cash flow to do this. If you dont make alot of money not gonna work. Got to make good money or have multiple sources of income. Not a bad idea just got to have a cash flow and not a lot of overhead Bill's! Good Luck to everyone!
Yaaa not all of us have disposable income to put that much in each day. There’s no way I could afford to put in 200,198,196,194 etc in 4 days- really- it’s not that easy for everyone

Do you withdraw money from your bank account? My paychecks are deposited into my accounts so would I just withdraw the money and add it to my envelopes?? Sorry can someone please explain.

Yes you can or you can do weekly or bi weekly. But if you spread it out, it may take a little longer. You can also just pull out envelopes everyday and set aside for the week so when you can fill up the envelopes, add the numbers on the envelope and fill them up

You can't have $10,000 in 100 days when you have absolutely no money sis.

This might sound like a silly question .......But on what schedule do you do the envelope is it every payday? Because since I get paid every 2 weeks it would take much longer than a hundred days.
So you can defintely do this on a biweekly schedule. Once you get paid you can randomly choose, in your case, 14 envelope and put aside that money from your checks. But, what I tell people, you can adjust the challenge to your financial situation however you want. For instance, I’m a bartender so I always have cash and a pretty good amount of it, so I can put $$ in my enevelopes everyday. If you can’t, then maybe do 3-4 times a week or maybe even two. Of course it will take longer than 100 days, but you’re still saving $$ and once you’re done you should have a total of $10,100 😊 let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions!

You can defintely do that to speed up the process but I wanted to give everyone both options to see what works better for them.
I’ve seen this and wanted to do it, but I guess the problem I’m having is my money goes direct deposit in my account and having to go to the bank everyday just to withdraw cash is not convenient PLUS your average person doesn’t have that extra cash lying around on a daily basis. So still not sure how this would work.

That is the one area where people make a lot of assumptions. They assume really high incomes that the bottom 20% don't make or they just leave out the income and details that explain how they got there. I would designate a certain amount out of your check to put in the envelopes. Or during the the time while you’re waiting for your check, pull out random envelopes (decide how many depending on what works for you financially) set them aside, and when you get your check, fill those envelopes up!

You can mark it 2-200 even numbers only and you’ll end up with $10,100 after 100 days

if you were to buy 200 envelopes instead of 100 and saved the correct number for each envelope each day, would it still be 10,000 in 100 days:)
Everyone tries to make this seem like it’s easy…but the higher you get In numbers the harder it is if you are a person who practically lives from paycheck to paycheck.
For example, if you get paid weekly and reach envelopes 74-80…that’s $539 you have to put in the envelopes; which is practically your entire check.
This method of saving only really works for people who make a lot of money already.
Instead of envelopes I just put it directly in my savings account through my phone

The original 100 envelope challenge, makes 5, 200 dollars and it takes a whole year doing 2 envelopes a week

You can do that if that works best for you! I find it better to mix them up and pull a random one so that all of the big numbers are in different spaces

I am 14 and wanna save up for my dream car wich is 80k. I currently get paid 800 bi weekly in a small business I run with my aunt and her friend. I will be multiplying these numbers by 8, and won't Pass to the next envelope until I fill up the one I am working on. On one side I'll out the empty ones and on the other the filled up ones. I am just praying I am able to have the discipline and will to not touch thay money. since I am still under my parents roof and gladly don't pay bills I think this is a perfectopportunity. I hope this pays off all my hard work, time, and energies for the one thing I've wanted my whole life.
I'd like to add that it is on average, it is never a defined salary, sometimes I get less sometimes I make more sales then usual, it's how it works and I am ok with it.
I only make 6000-6500 dollars in 100 days so this is impossible.

Why not just commit to saving $100 a day for 100 days, or any amount for that matter? At least that is a predictable number, and you can set that in your budget. Using envelopes is just playing tricks with your own mind.
Some people need tricks.
Or you can just write on the envelope 2, 4, 6…
