You could beat it in like 20-30 hours even without a guide and speedruns are pretty quick for an rpg game. chrono trigger doesn't require any grinding which is crazy for an rpg game so it's really for everyone.

She seems loving and kind, and just the sheer fact she's been willing to play video games, something a lot of older people are too stubborn to do in the first place, tells me she's very open minded and young in her heart. As someone with a disability, I'm really happy to hear that she's your uncle's caretaker. Takes a very good person to be a good one! My 56 year old mom wasn’t big on gaming when I was growing up until my brother introduced her to “Harvest moon a wonderful life” on the GameCube. She played that game for hours everyday! We bought her all the other harvest moon/Story of seasons games just so we can make her happy. She absolutely loved “Harvest moon Back to nature” on the psp and “Harvest moon Animal parade” on the Wii. Recently she saw me playing “Zero Horizon dawn” on my ps4 and was absolutely blown away by the graphics, and guess who’s on her 100th play through of the game now.
I’m so glad this video showed up in my recommended. I had a similar upbringing with my Vavó (my dad’s mom) - my parents were very young when I was born so they didn’t have any savings or anything, meaning they had to work full time and couldn’t be home a lot. My grandparents lived next door, so I spent my days with Vavó. We would play SNES together and she was OBSESSED with her computer and playing games on there (Slingo, in particular). She’d buy me fun and educational games and always encouraged me to play them. This year makes 20 years since she passed away and your story about your Gran has given me some insight as to what my Vavó might be doing today. I have no doubt we’d be spending plenty of time visiting each other’s islands in ACNH and hers would be far superior to mine! ❤️

Man this shit is so sweet. You are a good grandson. Makes me miss my grandmother so much... Who practically raised me. And think of the days when we first got a computer... I started playing a Janes Combat WW2 fighter, Age of Empires 2, and various hunting games on it. Got super addicted lol And to my astonishment my grandma, an old school workaholic and true southern woman, absolutely loved it, because I would stay inside for majority of the day gaming... and be around her. I would call her in the computer room legit 20 times a day and show her the virtual deer or game I killed... or the battle I was in... And she always paid attention and smiled. She just absolutely loved me showing those things to her... and me being inside with her versus outside in the woods and what not... God i miss my "grambone" so much... She truly was my bestest friend and made me the man I am today. She taught me so many things. How to be a true gentleman, to be hard worker, and so much more. I was blessed though. She lived to 97 years old. But almost not a day goes by that I don't miss her and wish i could just talk to her one more time.
I recently lost my grandma and since that day, the world is totally different. I kinda teared up while i was watching this because i really love the relationship that you have with her 💖

This really touched me in a way that I haven't felt in a long time. I was really close with my great-aunt, and for a while in my teens I lived with her. One of the things that we used to do together was watch chop-socky martial arts films. The way your grandma is with games felt a lot like my great-aunt and it makes me miss her a lot. I know you do, but please cherish your grandma.

key word is "can be". It's unfortunate that games like animal crossing, professor layton, etc. are the minority, not the majority. People outside of the gamer stereotype can often have a hard time finding games to play. I love gaming and this is definitely true for me, especially in recent years.
As an older person myself it encourages me that I am not too old to play video games. They have been the link to stay connected to my kids and give us meaningful conversations with them. My adopted son that has autism enjoys Animal Crossing and I think it's not only a good game to keep us connected but it offers features that help him understand his world better.

And this pandamic has hit hard, even tho my grandma lives in the building next to mine i have not been able to visit as often as i would like to. I am glad that she is still alive and i do talk to her as often as i can. One thing that always has and does put a smile on my grandmas face is when i talk about my life, when i tell her about new things i bought or how its going on my job or what my plans are for my vacation and so on. Your very lucky to have such a wonderful grandmother like her. My grandmother has Alzheimer’s and has forgot me and everyone she used to love. She lives in a caretaking facility and is doing well. There are some days I just wish I could see her and hope that she remembers me. But she probably won’t. Anyways I hope you cherish the relationship you have with your grandmother till the very end. I’m glad that there are wholesome people like you on the internet who take notice to small comments like this and are supportive. anyways my grandmother is slowly dying, what I mean is that doctors say that Alzheimer’s slowly kills it’s victims. It’s so hard to see my kind and loving grandma who was once able to talk and do things for her self end up this way.

According to your timeline, you and I are about the same age (I may be a few years older) and have always loved video games as well, I also lived with my grandparents (permanently). My grandmother never got into video games, didn't even see the appeal in them but as she started to age and time went on (me moving abroad and back, her moving, my mom moving in with her and her worsening kidney disease....etc.) I noticed she liked to watch me play video games (at the time, it was the Wii). She would sometimes point out things while I was playing and asking me about them. Though she never got into video games, I was glad that she was able to enjoy something that I was interested in. R.I.P. Grandma.

My gma passed away 2 months ago. She couldn't use her hands too well for awhile but I always think she would have love Animal Crossing. These videos are always so wonderful to see so simply sweet❤

I was so excited to see this update/backstory. The first video of yours that I saw was you giving ACNH to Gran. It came at a time when I was feeling dark and lonely (all pandemic-induced anxiety) and it just warmed my heart. The update a few months later was awesome as well. Please keep these videos coming!

omg this video almost made me cry, i can tell how much you love your gran, i love mine a lot too. i also was looked after by my grandma for a lot of my childhood and we are still super close now. this video brought me so much nostalgia with the pokemon games, professor layton and animal crossing! and just so much joy from the fact that i can tell how much you guys love each other and how much your gran loves the game. i showed bayonetta to my gran a while ago and she loved it lol she was showing my mum all of the cool moves she could do, maybe i should see if i can get her into gaming, it would be lovely to have a shared hobby and i could show her so many games! i would of course especially enjoy it if she liked animal crossing
