- In this video I'm comparing the Schecter Hellraiser Solo II vs the ESP LTD EC-1000T Deluxe. Both guitars are made in the same factory.

Pretty sure they're both the same company and I don't understand what they have to do with the Schecter since I was under the impression that you were comparing the LTD to the Schecter.. With no context for this (seemingly) out of nowhere declaration about LTD & ESP I have no idea what distinction you're attempting to make between them, as I was falling out / nodding off when you were wrapping the video up, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(and sometimes my articulation is just sh*t XD) I said that "I'm a bit more of an LTD fan AND an ESP fan to be honest with you, so I might be a bit biased". Thank you for sitting through the video! The new LTD's are now coming with Fishman pickups which are awesome. One up for LTD/ESP.
The latest Schecter Evil Twin models also have Fishmans haha. Never played those pick ups, EMG has always been my main go to pick up.

I like both , can't go wrong with either one. I have an old ltd 1000 EC thinner model bodies . I have two schecter solo 6 and v1 . Both great brands ....solid built . 😊🙏👍

if i had to choose i would go for ltd for playability and build quality but both of these guitars are great and wont let you down.
Both are indeed great guitars. I'm always drawn towards the LTD because of its full thickness body. It's more substantial, more massive.
Good review Sven. I just ordered a new Schecter Solo II Custom in Trans Black. In the end, I preferred the compensated nut and the compound fretboard radius. Overall, I liked the slightly more classic look of the Solo II also.

I have the exact same guitar. You made a great choice. High quality instrument, that more is versatile than the Ltd because of the splitable passive pickups (which sounds fantastic) and better neck joint. The solo ii design has a classier look to it as well, especially in the trans black.
Ltd sounds more aggressive! I have two love them!

I've played a lot of the more expensive guitars and brands... but I just love the Schecter Ultra Thin "C" neck profile the most
I have both. I love both brands, but LTD/ESP is obviously better. Again, I love both but LTD simply has a way higher ceiling for quality and innovation

Nice review, thanks for the clean tones. I have a Schecter C-6 and an LTD EC-1000 w/SD pickups and love them both, though they are very different guitars at very different price points. In particular, while the LTD is clearly a superior build, I much prefer the C-shaped neck on the Schecter to the U-shaped neck on the LTD. The Schecter pickups sound really good, as well. Two good guitar companies, though I went through several Schecters to get a good neck, and still had some fret issues to deal with. Only knock on the LTD is the nut had sharp ends I had to file down.

Both companies have great products in my opinion, it's just down to the player to choose which feature set works best for him. It's a great time to be a guitar player with all these new technologies and innovations, especially on the processing level, but nothing beats the feeling of a well built guitar, when you strike the first note, and you feel that it means business!

Nice video, I could barely notice any difference between them, been looking at these 2 models for a while, while I'm drawn more to the schecter I feel like voice changer feature on the esp could be handy? Do you use the voice changer much?
Also it would be great if you could compare them to the much cheaper Harley Benton SC 550 or SC custom.

I own a JH 600EC with 81 & 85s and the Solo ii Apocalypse ( apocalypse vi pickups) ... IDK if a fair comparison..the Solo is way lighter at 7lbs it feels 5lbs lighter to me, thats a big difference, the Esp is way heavier. The neck action is amazing on both , but I like the schecter more as for playability. The Esp does seem to carry a deeper tone tho. I cant decide to keep or change the pick ups. But as for feel ..never felt a LP as comfy ,light and resonate as my Apoc.

Is it a thing of lighting or the ltd body is actually far larger than the Schecter ( and thicker, as you stated)?

Don’t have the best ear but LTD seems better on high pitch and schecter on the deeper ones. I own the Hellraiser as it suits me but…. Well sometimes you want what you don’t have and that’s ok. Love my guitar. Wish I had spent the money years ago
Hello, i just wanted to ask for the ec-1000 i have setup my guitar for drop C with ernie ball 12-56 cobalt and the 6-5-4 strings are buzzing like crazy in all frets. My intonation is like 95%. Did you made any other configurations to the guitar ? (adjusting truss rod or saddle?) i cant get rid of the buzzing sound and also the 6 string (C) has too much vocal i have to palm mute it all the time in order to make other strings sound. Any guidance? Thank you

The body shapes are very very similar BUT the Schecter appears to be significantly smaller. Or is that an illusion?
The bodies are almost the same size, but the Schecter is thinner than the LTD. The LTD is a Full Thickness model, which replicates the thick body of a Gibson Les Paul Custom
Esp ltd ec - 1000 no doubt … all I own is esp ltd because they play awesome , sound awesome ,
look awesome , and are awesomely sexy plus they have never let me down in any way even my
Esp Ltd ec - 256 is a beautiful playing and sounding workhorse for under $500 …

I bought the EC-256 in 2016, just this week I got some emg pick ups and pots put in it. Next will be bridge, bone neck piece and deleting tone know and replacing it with a kill switch. Locking tuners will be last

I started buying $1000+ guitars from zounds a couple years ago so I can pay as I play 🤟
I just paid off my Schecter V1 Apocalypse FR so I just received my LTD EC-1000ET.
The V1 is a bitchin guitar , I also have a C1 Platinum both made in Korea and just great guitars. The LTD 1000 made in Korea (which I have three other ltd's) is on another level. I think once this one is paid off , I might have to buy an E ll because I may have been ruined for all other guitars 🤣

@@TheMetalFoundry I love my blackstar amps! I'm unsure on the weight of my EC1000 but it's full thickness "Non" weight relief it was the first generation of these guitars that I have 2x of. I have a black and a white one. Both non chambered. So they are kinda heavy but I love my guitars heavy! I love the EMG Het Set, my favorite pickup...
Is the neck in Schecter as thin as in LTD? Or is it the same thickness as in traditional les pauls like Gibson?
It is as thin as the LTD, but the profile is a bit different. The Schechter has a C profile and the LTD has a thin U-shape neck.

Yes, both guitars are made at the World Music Instrumentes Company in South-Korea.
Schecter and ESP/LTD are completely independent from each other, however, but they are both owned by the ESP founder Hisatake Shibuya.

I hate LP shaped guitars, the ESP and Solar single cuts are the least hideous though...
