A windy fen seascape at the Lincolnshire wash : Landscape Photography

- On a VERY windy day, I take a trip to the Lincolnshire washes near Holbeach to look for potential images. Struggling with the wind I still managed to take a few shots to show you what this remote and desolate landscape looks like!
Great video, mate, nothing but wind and storms for the past two weeks playing havoc with our plans!

I remember cycling all around there on a borrowed bike as a young man. Thoroughly enjoyed it. A great place to photograph. Your shots were really moody. No queuing up for photo's of a lone tree there I presume. A lot of early photography happened in the fens, largely of people digging ditches.
A bit desolate this place ( there you go a new D word instead) I kept telling myself ‘people will be interested in watching’ and persevered! A real struggle this one!
Whoa, that wind, but good for you for your perserverance and getting a few lovely shots! Nice to have a bit of WWII history thrown in, always appreciated.

I have got to say that wind was wicked. You really did take us with you I could almost feel it lol. I do like a pillbox as well. Defo a mono image light water with dark mud contrasty. It looks a scary place for getting stuck think you did well

I know that location and you did well to get something from there, particularly with so much wind. In fact you probably picked the worst weather for images as rain or mist etc could have been a bit more moody.That river is called Lawyer's Creek (not the Welland) though. When fighter planes are using the range (in the other direction from the pillbox), it can provide some entertainment & photo opportunities.
Mark Deith Hi Mark, yeah I knew that inlet wasn’t the Welland I wasn’t pointing very well to further along the bank!! Was a tough one this and nearly didn’t put this vlog out! Will be tapping you up for more locations soon as I’m running out lol
