Rick Rubin Creative Advice: Make YOUR Art For YOU, Not The Audience!

Rick Rubin has some great advice that hit me very strongly. It doesn’t matter what other people think. That’s their issue. Make art for yourself first. And I do do that! I make it for me. But just not so good at what the other people think about. We need validation from our peers the audience and critics in the actor and film industry it seems. I the need for validation as an actor and aspiring writer and director and filmmaker. But that stuff takes care of itself later. Make art for you. Stuff that you love, first! Then share it and by then it’s already a success! Great advice from an artistic genius. Credit to The School of Greatness podcast and TH-cam channel.

Damn lol. There’s still a good amount of wise words from Rick after my two cents if you could get through that part. But I made this for me anyway. And of course hoped someone would get something out of it, too… but that goes against Rick’s advice. I should care less about your opinion, but I feel somewhat responsible for not leading the video with more of Rick first and saved my speech for last. Thanks for the input!
