The Power Of Saying Positive Phrases opens up the best opportunities imaginable - Create Luck

I worked on Jerry Seinfelds’ movie Unfrosted as Jim Gaffigan’s stand in for lighting. I worked on the whole movie. It was awesome experience. Jim is really cool. What a great guy. He is the best. This is Jerry Seinfeld first directing a movie job and he was also the best. Long story short I got asked to read a scene on camera for the technical aspects, they needed the scene acted out to edit around with in post production. On the last day of filming they didn’t have one actor cast for a particular important role so they asked a stand in to do it. I got lucky. It was an opportunity. I took it and gave my best acting performance. Jerry watched the whole thing. I did it two times. Jerry gave me a standing ovation along with the whole crew. He said I had the best part in this thing (meaning the movie) or something to that affect. He said At the 11th hour Evan Campbell saves the day or something similar. The whole crew gave me congratulations and compliments. It felt like an underdog story for me and all the work I’ve done is starting to payoff… and I was living it as it happened. To have Jerry Seinfeld, one of the greatest comedians of all time, appreciate my work was the highlight of my career so far. I went over to video village afterwards to thank him after and he said he really enjoyed both of my performances and that I left it all on the field. I’ll never forget the happy excited look in his eyes. He really was entertained by what I did. He was laughing behind the monitors watching. I literally heard him laughing as I was doing the scene. This is a comedy where laughing is the whole point of it, and as an actor who loves to do comedy, that meant a lot to me.
In the end they cast a really great famous comedian and did reshoots later to officially finish that scene for the movie. It’s going to be a funny movie and this comedian is really great and is going to bring a lot of fans to watch it.
To me this is a result of believing in your dreams and never giving up. And saying positive phrases everyday for a year up to that point. Stay positive everyone. Your dreams can happen if you work AND believe. You can start from nowhere and do it! I hope TH-cam puts this into people’s video feeds who are aspiring actors. Aspiring filmmakers or storytellers. Or anyone who is working towards a dream. I started from nowhere knew literally no one out in California moving from Wisconsin on my own. You can do it, too. And I’m not even there yet. It’s just a journey that I’m learning to enjoy more and more and seeing little tiny successes just gives me enough encouragement that it’s paying off.

That bokeh effect with the tilt-shift is a really interesting and beautiful camera setup. It gives the surrounding environment an intimate yet otherworldly quality.
