The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is the premier late night talk show on CBS, airing at 11:35pm EST, streaming online via Paramount+, and delivered to the International Space Station on a USB drive taped to a weather balloon. Every night, viewers can expect: Comedy, humor, funny moments, witty interviews, celebrities, famous people, movie stars, bits, humorous celebrities doing bits, funny celebs, big group photos of every star from Hollywood, even the reclusive ones, plus also jokes.
I’m grateful The Late Show debuted him. This was my introduction to his music, and, once the chills subsided, I immediately bought tickets to see him live in Georgia.

I saw this young man open for Drive By Truckers. They have a Rock vibe, right?

Great song in every dimension. Soulful, blues roots and stripped down. Guitar and vocal that’s it. It’s refreshing to hear authentic music with heart and soul.

Damn, this song is soooo good. Love his playing and vocals. I hadn't heard of him until I saw him on Colbert tonight. Gonna have to a deep dive into his catalog, for sure!

Stunning! I had the same feeling as when I got introduced to Gary Clark a few years back. So much great music and so many brilliant artists out there that we never know about, because it gets lost in the glut of ordinary and uninspired music. Thankful Colbert booked him. Too bad I know I'll never get to see him in Nova Scotia!

2021 was a good year for blues. A couple young cats releasing their debut or sophomore albums. Christone Kingfish Ingram released his sophomore album, which is awesome btw, and Buffalo Nichols with his debut in November. As a fan and occasional player of the blues, this makes me happy.
Another young Blues musician you might want to check out is Jontavious Willis.
