    Who Is Gaylyn Lareese?
    Hey there! My name is Gaylyn Lareese, and I am dancer living in Los Angeles. For as long as I can remember, dance has been a part of my life and has truly shaped my personality, my opinions and my life goals. I believe dancers are more than pretty performers on a stage or in a video. True dancers know that dance is how we learn and move through life. It’s the way we’ve chosen to grow to be the people we are meant to be. This is why I call us artists and movers! On my channel I make content for every aspect of dance life including dance tips, dance discussions, and dance entrepreneurship. Join me as I take my love for dance to the next level and hopefully encourage you to do the same 💙

    I do not know how to thank u for this wonderful video. I am a beginner student, trying to learn to dance for bachata music. My instructor often says that i have to find the beat 1 first. I am struggling to find the no 1 beat. Can you make a video for beginner dance student about beats, when to start counting 1 and when to start dancing? I find it very hard to understand this? I will be thankful to you if you make video on the basics of song, music structure and how to dance according to the beats. I watched many videos on this. I cannot understand this. Thank you.

    Idk how I missed this video but I’m absolutely mind blown!!! I’m growing in freestyling in class a little bit, but being able to break music down and find the counts like this is a game changer. Gaylyn you are a force 😱😱😱. Also, does synchopating also apply to lyrics?

    • @GaylynLareese
      @GaylynLareese  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Uhhh, it can apply to the melody the lyrics are sung in if that makes sense. And I’m glad you found it helpful! I wouldn’t have thought to make it if someone from my internet fam hadn’t requested it.

    Thank you so much for that really helpful video! How do you count in 5, 6, 7, 8 without any music playing yet? Or do you always have the music playing before you start dancing to hear the counts?

    • @GaylynLareese
      @GaylynLareese  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You always have to hear the music first to know what counts you’re dealing with☺️

    It's rubbish that they put the claps on the 2 and the 4 so if you hear a clap you know you missed the 1.
