Hello both, i just got my delivery of 2 large Cod and 2 Scallops freshly cooked.... No uncooked batter on the Cod or the Scallops. !.. And i got a free 6 portion of spring rolls for supporting them on TH-cam. 10/10!! I hope you are both enjoying your Cruise!

Hi guys ❤️⭐️❤️my kind of review 😋😋😋😋😋😋love Donna meat and the sausage supper looked yum 😋and depending on how hungry I was I’d probably eat all the fish and chips 😅😅😅batter too 😀😀😀can I just ask about the scallops Tracy you mentioned potato sooo not what I thought 🤔 was it 2 slices of potato with fish in the middle 🤔looked pretty thin so maybe not 😊really enjoyed this. Hi Geraldine, so the scollops are sliced potatoes dipped in batter and deep fried … we actually had amazing ones in Dundee .. might’ve been called potato fritters …?

Bit of a mixed bag there. Nice fish but wet batter. Chips & gravy looked good. Strange how the batter on the fish was different to the scallops too. We will definitely try some fish 'n' chips when we go to Scotland.

Chips gravy is my go to everytime and the fritters as we call them in Scotland. My my local is a chippy/Chinese run by Chinese family its lovely

When i phone up Old Roan for my delivery i always tell them to cook my 2 Cod fresh. Maybe that is why i never get soggy batter. I will be ordering the same again tonight.

Hi Tracy and Colin. Great- a chippy vlog. 😀 Here we go again. Poor soggy batter on the fish (you thought the fish itself tasted good. 🐟) and whilst not 100% the batter on the scallops was so much better, how can they be so different?
You enjoyed the sausage dinner and Donner meat, peas and gravy good 😋chips better than they looked and you gave reasonable overall scores. I loved this homely, at the table vlog. Thanks.

Feel for you guys when you get a sub par meal ,sausage dinner? Dogs dinner more like . Why would there be potato in a fried scallop? I’m always wary of a place that sells multi cuisines, never good at them all .

That's what they r called thick slice of potato dipped in batter wee call them tattie fritters in Scotland

To be honest , I only buy fish and chips from a fish and chip shop Chinese from a proper Chinese ect. I find takeaways that deal with different cultured foods just do not get it right! That’s my opinion. Not for me I’m afraid😜❤️❤️😘😘
