      Greetings! Yes, love the Hilux and you even had the 4 door diesel version back in the 90's. I'd love to have one! That and a LC300 and LC70 that we don't get here. Thanks for watching!

    The 4.88 gears were on all trucks with the automatic transmission and 31" tire package. The standard ratio on automatics was 4.30. Manual versions had 4.56 gears for the 31" tire package and 4.10 for the standard tires. In Canada, you couldn't get vent windows on those and you couldn't get an automatic transmission on a SR5.

      Very informative, thank you. Having the factory 4.88 is a nice bonus with the latter drivetrain and 35s. The truck drives great and can use the overdrive. Thanks for watching, happy holidays!

      @@MakeItRad I have helped a friend swapping a 3.4 in his '93 T-100, it certainly Improved performance and it's nice to have a OBD2 port too! We did not get a new wiring harness, just used the harness from the '96 T-100 donor. We kept the '93 R-150F transmission as the clutch cylinder was on the driver side on the newer one. He had the crossover pipe modified so he could keep the exhaust on the driver side. That means we also had to use the cable-driven speedo and we needed to relocate quite a few parts.
      I didn't feel like doing that in my '93 SR5 when I replaced mine last year. So it got another 3.slow from a '93 DX donor that waited 8 years to give it's complete lower mileage drivetrain. It had the same 4.56 gears and the 31" tires, just had to swap a few parts for the cruise control and a/c that the DX didn't have. Still happy with it! It drives just as good as when I got it 15 years ago.

      Always love hearing about keeping these classics around. The T-100 is what makes swapping 3.4's into the pickups / 4Runners possible with oem parts as it was the only 3.4 powered vehicle with the 86-95 torsion bar style suspension. Only vehicle to have both the 3.0 and the 3.4 during its production run.

    Great looking truck!
    I have a ‘92 extra cab 3.0, manual everything that I got new and still have her. The transfer shift knob was in all the manual transmission trucks. Mine is a DX so I don’t know what knobs were used for the SR5

    • @MakeItRad
      @MakeItRad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Greetings! Sounds like a gem you have there. Yes, the manuals all had the knob for the transfer case. The 3.0 auto's with the A340H had a second shifter similar to the PRNDL that actuated a hydraulic transfer case. This one now has the latter A340F behind the 3rd Gen 4Runner and Tacomas. Thanks for watching!

    Wow amazing pickup. I want the same fender flare. What is the brand

    • @MakeItRad
      @MakeItRad  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Greetings, Thanks so much. I posted to another comment on the flares. I'm not sure if you can still get these exact flares, but the bushwacker extend-a-fender are the closest, if not exact match: realtruck.com/p/bushwacker-extend-a-fender-flares/v/toyota/pickup/1994/ Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Do you know if the fender flares are original or where I can get some building a 93 sr5 and those are Awsome looking!

    • @MakeItRad
      @MakeItRad  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Greetings, the flares are aftermarket and were put on in the late 90's. Not sure if they still make these exact models, but the bushwacker "extend-a-fender" are probably the closest match if not exact. realtruck.com/p/bushwacker-extend-a-fender-flares/v/toyota/pickup/1994/ Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Beautiful truck brother! On the middle console, did you have to widen the 3 holes near the cubby to fit the switch for the USB? Or did those switches just clip right on.

    • @MakeItRad
      @MakeItRad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Greetings, thank you! No mods to those 3 switch bays. The blanks and USB port I 3D printed. This was a while back, these days you can likely find online a port that will snap in. I try not to modify any of thoe factory parts as they are getting hard to come by. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy Holidays!

    Beautiful truck, did that chrome flare under front bumper come with the truck? Like from factory?

    Really nice rig!
    Can you share what headlights are you running?
    And maybe you have the part numbers for these fender flares?

    • @MakeItRad
      @MakeItRad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Greetings! Thanks for watching, the headlights are Truck-Lite LED 27450C. I went with these because you don't need to buy a headlight harness for the Toyota switched negative headlight circuitry. But you will lose the "brights" light on the gauge cluster running these. Outside of that, they are sooo much better than the original halogen. Here is an amazon link: www.amazon.com/Truck-Lite-27450C-Headlamp/dp/B007ED7HNY

    how do i do my subs like that i need that! i have a 2000 taco. has the same panels in the backseat obviously

    • @MakeItRad
      @MakeItRad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Greetings. I'll have to do a follow-up video on that install. The short answer is, seal it up, estimate the volume of air for the sub, and build a panel that fits (tracing the outline of the stock part is a good method) and secure it.

    Put tundra brake on the front. The stopping power is 10 times better.

    • @MakeItRad
      @MakeItRad  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Interesting. I am aware of that mod for Tacomas and 3rd Gen + 4Runners, but not yet the IFS pickups.

    • @gezac440
      @gezac440 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I made an adaptor that you bolt on to the hub. It changes the brake caliper hole location for the tundra. I can send you the drawing and pic if interested. Only thing is the size of the wheel is 16inches minimum.
