  • In this video, I go over all the adjustments you would need to know on a Jazzy select 6 wheelchair. The seat turn adjustment, the seat height adjustment. The lean seat adjustment. The control arm replacement ( to another side) adjustment. The control connector release. The foot height and tilt and front o back adjustment. The locking wheels to drive of freewheel setting. the arms height and tilt and width adjustments. The headrest adjustment.

    This is a great video. But what I didn't see is how to adjust the controller (feels like it is loose and keeps going up and down) - makes it very hard to control when using it. It also feels like it is going to come loose and fall off? Suggestions

      This is not the right way but maybe you could find a good area to drill and add another screw to hold it in place, just make sure that it can not poke out and scratch someones arm.

    Hello, a friend of mine drives a senior mobile. Is there a way to make the mobile a little faster? The health insurance company only offers throttled scooters, but we both have to cover completely different distances because we are not allowed to use public transport with our mobiles. We use them to go about our everyday lives, even in rain and snow. The mobile was bought privately, I also have a mobile for the 15th km is fast, you get these aids through your health insurance company, only the insurance company dictates how fast you can be, then you have endless discussions with the insurance company.
    Thanks for the information and have a good new year in 2024.

      I have never adjusted the speed of any of these mobile scooters other than the normal controls. I would think that there are ways to limit the top speed of many models, but keep in mind that if you were to find a way to adjust the speed and then you get in any kind of accident then you might end up fully liable for any damages from said accident So I would leave it at the normal settings. I know this is not the answer that you want to hear and I can understand wanting to go faster, but not in this case.

    I have that chair, I’ve put 2 different sets of batteries in it and riding the chair for a; hour causes the battery light on the arm to drop into the yellow then red. Any thoughts on what to check. Im fully handicapped and need it 100% of the time. Thank you and god bless.

    • @fromcarstocomputers7261
      @fromcarstocomputers7261  ปีที่แล้ว

      1- It could be the type of batteries you are using,
      2- It could be a bad connection causing the system to use extra power just to preform. ( also if the wire has been around waster or very humid weather like wet snow or extra foggy days then the wires could has corrosion under the sheathing and that can cause a power drop.
      3- It could be something is stiff causing the motors to have to work harder to make the chair go.
      4- find out how long you can drive one of these without stopping before the batteries drain ( most people drive about 10 to 100 feet then stop and then go back an so on, they are not driving continuously for an hour.
      Look up a home care medical equipment place in you ares and ask them how far it should go and what would be the longest life batteries to use ( these batteries will cost a lot more ) and go from there.
      I wish I could tell you more but that's all I can say

    • @fromcarstocomputers7261
      @fromcarstocomputers7261  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really sure. maybe the battery gets a shake and it has a bad spot in it that has to slowly move back into place after bump. maybe the motor is wore out and is affected by the bump. but it is most likely just a bad connection somewhere that the bump triggers

    I recently got a Jazzy Elite HD chair. It has teeny tiny anti-tip wheels in the front. Problem is, the chair easily tips forward when I go down slight ramps, even simply going from the sidewalk onto the pavement. My chair needs to go backwards so this does not happen. How can I push the seat back to prevent this from happening? I bough this as a private sale, so I do not have a dealer I can bring it to, nor is it under any warranty. (I bought it from a friend of a friend) Is there a way to move the whole chair backwards a bit? Thank you.

      contact the manufacture, or find a local upholstery shop and have them recover the seat.
      You may even find a broken used chair listed somewhere that you could get for the parts. ( may even find a good deal on a working one. )

    I've got a jazzy elite HD that was already configured for somebody else and I'm trying to raise the height of the arms and I use the Allen wrench to remove the screws I'm I'm trying to slide it up but it won't slide so I'm not sure I need a stronger person to pull it up or is there more than one thing keeping the height locked in. I removed the screws on the front and back on the arm height adjuster but I can't seem to get it to move but I'm also not the strongest person in the world so I was wondering if you have a suggestion or no something else I need to unscrew in order to get it to slide up and higher

    • @fromcarstocomputers7261
      @fromcarstocomputers7261  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      1 - you can tap it with a small hammer right under the hinge ( make sure not to hit the control wire with the hammer ) you may have to hold a small amount of pressure at the end of the arm rest to keep it from lifting up while you tap at the hinge end.
      2- you can also find a wrench that will fit around the pipe of the arm where it goes into the lower part and use it as leverage.

    Is there a way to set the seat that you sit on so it's level because it digs into the back of your legs it makes you feel like you're going to have a heart attack after 10 minutes?

    • @fromcarstocomputers7261
      @fromcarstocomputers7261  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Officially there is no adjustment for that. But unofficially I'm sure you could put some washers in there and lift it up just make sure the Bolt is still long enough to catch threads properly in other words if you raise it a quarter inch get a bolt 1/4 inch longer than the one that came with it. But of course you're doing this at your own risk.

    • @fromcarstocomputers7261
      @fromcarstocomputers7261  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hard to say that depends on how much you use it each day and the state of your battery. But it is a good idea to give the batteries a refresh about once a week if not in use. I would not just leave it on the charger ( some say that it is ok, because it is suppose to shut down when charged. ) but I would still not leave it on the charger after the charge.

      @@shawn7742 You could just take it out and drive it around a small track until you notice it drop speed ( going into limp home mode because the batteries are low ) and that will give you an idea of how long it would last ( make sure you don't go to far away from your starting point ) Remember that while in normal use these will good a short distance then stop then go over there and then over here and then back to the room and so forth, point is they are not using power the whole time ( try not to let the battery drain all the way down )
