I personally have done this method for many years and still do it, this is the mark of a true tile guy, if you can't do a large drypack job your not a top notch tile guy, this is further proof to all you guys on here pouring mud pans with way overly wet mud that it's wrong to do it that way, drypack is the only way. You should pay attention to this Mr Starr tile
Im guessing by your stupidity your a North American, this is a company from UK and this is all they do, they are not tilers!!!. And for the record this is ancient practice most clients prefer to pay a little extra for liquid screed ( Not mud). You guys are so far behind in construction its frightening. You build houses out of wood just to be blown away from a strong wind, bonkers
Amazingly done mate!! Enjoy abit of screeding but this is on another level... im a time served resin floor layer but I can honestly say this finish is up there with the best I've ever seen!! Keep it up mate
Most of the time i do this with another guy, we take it in turns as it is very physically demanding when doing large open areas. This guys a beast though
I can’t speak English very well. but this video makes me write comments. I know how fucking hard this job, I’m korean then I as well tiler. this work looks very good.
Great video...but for what it teaches, it could've been 30 seconds long...no info on how to maintain levels, what ratio to mix screed.... safety..ie corrosivness of cement and potential for chemical burns ect...
Cement to sharp sand 1:4 ratio and some polypropylene fiber if needed to reinforce the floor. Keep adding water until mix is held in the ball shape when squeezed by hand.
there are two ways to do it either with scaff tubes(timber etc) or make a bridge with screed side to side,,in this video he has made two beds of screed side to side(which are levelled) and his straight edge is sliding back n forth on it..then you just fill in the middle bit.
Your half way there if you’ve got readymix screed ,,it’s a bit different when it’s drum mixed and every mix is different,,I know,,I did the job,,56 years ago,,,! Lol,👍
A dying breed, this guy is a tradesman. Great work
Hard graft, and he's been taught by the best, well done fella.

@ Jason, lol. +you're right about Starr Tile... his mud is way too wet
Starr tile guy doesn't have a clue...

Glad to see he is wearing a reflective vest. Most people would overlook this step and then the concrete won't cure properly.
I keep telling the finishers that, they just laugh at me. LOL.
is outside the door a site?
Lol. Was wondering what that was about too!
LOL
Its screed not concrete
He's learning the trade well, at 27 years old I'd have that floor finished in about 3 hours , those days are over but boy they were fun (-:
highly skilled tradesman, very impressive, well done
This guy is a beast. A true talent right there
My dad screened all over London n d 60s n 70s n this lad knows his trade.

Makes it look easy! How is the level kept?
When that ray stood still on the floor that means it's perfect level brother

Make a channel
U are well understood
Très belle technique de travail ....je le fais de la même façon.... depuis des années.
He just filling in the middle see the two row of dry set on the two side that is level already so he do not have to check the middle link Bahamas
Someone needs to give credit to the fellow who mixed it for him. It's very important to have a consistently mixed dry-pack.
Great video...but for what it teaches, it could've been 30 seconds long...no info on how to maintain levels, what ratio to mix screed.... safety..ie corrosivness of cement and potential for chemical burns ect...
Proper job from a pro.You get what you pay for.

Hello. Which aggregate is used here? Aggregate particle size please. Thank you
The finish looks so smooth
Would guess a 3:1 sharp sand mixed just wet enough to clump.
Sharp washed sand 0-4mm grade- 70% grit/ 30% fine.
No gym required that's one hell of a full body workout but kills the back a bit.
Never seen anyone on their knees screeding .ruff job if you ask me
How else is he going to do it ffs, float on a magic carpet . Thats the way its done . No more about a soup sandwich
Show de trabalho. Parabens. Gostei muito. Like👍
Americano gosta de inventar, por que o cara nao fez por partes no fibal do dia deve ta todo quebrado
So you guys specifically float floors for say tile and wood floor guys and that’s it, you don’t do the finish surface or is this a finished floor?
Deze vloer kan niet veel hebben, word alleen glad gestreken niet aangestampt.

What is the mix ? I’m sick of uneven floors at work and trying to get over with deep base self levels
En qué momento le pone agua para que endurezca el concreto

did he allow the side bridge to dry first before filling the middle?
Hypnotic
Skill skill skill.
Misteic very big misteic. Nu apasa mijlocul dreptarului . !!!!!!!!!
This is why i hate tiling on these substrates there just not level especially for large format tiles
Mate if you couldn't get tiles level on that screed I'd suggest giving the game away. He did an awesome job!
Ótimo trabalho

If you gauge your materials into a mixer, you should be able to get a constant uniform mix.
what are the ratio of mix?
