Some parts of the ride have a wall way like the first climb hill, other parts walking on the wood. I remember a guy getting screamed because his radio fell between the ties down about 100 feet to the ground. Back then it was six flags so there wasn’t much concern for employees.
I went yesterday and they shut it down after waiting In line for like 45 minutes by this point. But while in line I pointed out at least 500 loose bolts and prices of the coaster on the ground and extreme sway
I remember loving this ride I still live in Colorado but it’s been yrs since I last rode it lol but it’s still my fave ride to this day I always made sure I rode it before I left the park lol
@Amna Ali the one at lakeside is the Cyclone, no relation to twister II. It's called twister II because they had an old location with a ride called "mister twister" but they had to tear it down when they moved to denver, so they built a replica of it and thus twister II.

Lakeside was the affordable one & Elitch's was the place we had to jump the fence! LoL
This ride is a must! I went on it 4 times today! If you want more of a thrill sit in the very back! If you don’t you will have just as much fun on any other seat!

Loved this ride ever since I was a little kid. Plus, it takes your picture about halfway through. We would go on it over and over and try to make the dumbest faces possible
I rode it as my first coaster ever, i was terrified at first (i wasnt expecting the sudden drop) but after it was done i was like "ok im gonna get back in line" i LOVE it!

Where's the double helix? I just watched a brief history of the Twister roller coasters during a review of Knoebels' Twister and they said the original Twister had a double helix and this coaster is supposed to be a duplicate of it.

They did have to make changes to make it fit their topography however their Twister more closely resembles Mr Twister. Twister 2 is just one of those kinda-sorta-but-not-really "rebuilds" where they came up with a new design and named it Twister 2 to try to connect it with Mr Twister. It may be a decent ride or not, I don't know, I haven't ridden it. I have ridden Knoebel's Twister and it is a blast.
It's no longer pitch dark in the tunnel, and how on Earth were you able to film the rides here, because almost every time I have, they said I couldn't.
To get away with it where a black jacket with a GoPro underneath that is turned on and then once your nearing the top of the lift hill unzip jacket, press record and away you go that's how to get around no filming policies
By the way that is not the original, Elitch Gardens moved to that location 25 years ago... That's Twister 2, not Mister Twister which would have been the original.

This thing rattles your bones. Expect to be sore and don't drink water beforehand or you will puke! The Cyclone at Lakeside is similar, smaller, and it doesn't hurt you. I think Cyclone is the best roller coaster in Colorado with Twister 2 coming in second. You'll want to ride Cyclone over and over. Once is enough for Twister 2.

This is a great ride. It reminds me of what was one of the greatest wood coasters of all time, the Bobs at Riverview Park in Chicago. This was built in 1995? What a fucking abomination! I thought it was built in the 60s or 70s, if not earlier. That track profiling is absurdly bad. I’m sure it’s fun but damn!
Mr Twister is the ride that was built in the 60's. That was at the original Elitch Gardens. Then Elitch decided to move and didn't take Mr Twister with them. They decided to build this ride instead and just called it Twister 2. However, Knoebel's Grove in Pennsylvania acquired blue prints for Mr Twister and rebuilt it at their park, as close as possible to the original. They had to make some changes to make it fit, however those changes do not detract from the ride and in fact they might even make it better. Regardless, the closest you can get to riding the original Mr Twister is to ride Knoebel's Twister.

Cameras usually arent permitted without special permission, but you can use camera sunglasses to get away with it.

Pretty sure it’s the same layout, just fixed up a bit.
The old location was 100 times better. Haven’t been to the new since 98. Probably won’t go ever again, it sucks.
