- In the afternoon, I visited the gorilla house.
The purpose was twofold: to study the numbers and to watch the nighttime release of the animals.
I was able to see the number study, but there was no night feeding on this day. It was a pity.
At dinner that night, Gentaro broke a rule. I haven't seen him recently, so maybe it happens often, but I was surprised. It was cute how Kintaro also got a Kong and ran away from his father Momotaro (laugh).
Studying numbers was not easy for Kintaro, so he waited patiently for his turn.

I couldn't sleep much at night and had trouble sleeping.
Gave up shooting in the morning and decided to go in the afternoon for the first time in a while.
The temperature outdoors is extremely hot, but once inside the indoor viewing area, the air conditioning makes it comfortable.
I felt relatively well, although a little breathless.

The Momotaro family were all born and raised in Japan!
Momotaro (father) was born on Jul 3, 2000
He came to the Kyoto City Zoo in 2010.
Genki (mother) was born on June 24, 1986.
I was born in Kyoto and came back to Kyoto.
Gentaro (eldest son), born on December 21, 2011

The fact that they can tap the numbers in sequential order never ceases to amaze me.
This place should at the minimum have sod laid down for this family. I feel for them running around on dirt when everyone else running on grass...makes me not wanna watch so I'm not reminded what they missing:(

Because of the sound of cicadas and this looks like Kintaro now,it was not,been no more on a to week since this video was made.

They sweat through their hands, feet and armpits. They mostly use the panting method as sweating isn’t as effecting for them.
I never seen Momentaro do the number game,he thought I must learn this and get more food.
Momentaro was in the to worse mood I ever seen him,ever since the cicadas arrived he has been in a bad mood, he doesn't like noise, when he is in a bad mood he takes it out on everyone, they were all trying to stay away. from Momentaro, Kintaro was running from him, Momentaro is just not dad material, which is not his fault, but the humans fault who took him from his mother,which makes it hard for him to get close to female gorillas too,he's not family oriented,poor Momotaro, but separating Momentaro from his mom,has not just ruined Momotaros life, but 4 other gorillas,Momokos, Genki really needs love from Momotaro and the kids did to, and it would of been nice if they were like other gorilla families and got along with each other,they wouldn't have been such loners, and would of been happier at least mom and Kintaro have each other.Momentaro has no one, he doesn't understand he has done this to himself.
Gentaro is by himself, just because of Momotaro being separated when he was young from mom,that has caused this family to suffer,plus Gentaro needs his own family, he was denied from mom and dad, and he needs family to be happy and not to stump his growth.
Momotaro estubo solo antes de tener su familia, aunque algunas veces lo veo malhumorado, creo que aprendio a ser padre ya que nunca lo tuvo, lo e visto en algunos videos jugar con sus hijos y quererlos, enseñandolos su disciplina, pero se acercó a sus
hijos. Gentaro ama mucho a su hermano y pasa el tiempo jugando con el, claro llegará el tiempo en que tendrá su propia familia.Y la dulce Guenki mimando siempre a Kintaro, pero tabien a protegido a Gentaro. Parece que a su manera son tranquilos y felices...es su mundo.
