then the barrier is promotion in which case you have to prove with numbers your value just to stay employed. i worked at a warehouse for a few years that said i couldn't be promoted to shipper because they said i wouldn't be able to reach the top of pallets that "I" was building in the picking department on top of which i had to prove that i didn't make errors where i got in trouble for printing paperwork. even though i could prove orders i picked had no errors at the time they were picked. these days i tell them from the beginning that I'm keeping track of everything and know when its time to leave

Yep, that's because women are expected to be smaller/more petite/more submissive in our patriarchal society, although women have an easier time with dating in general than men so that's part of the reason women don't get rejected for being too tall as much

I would think that since conventionally attractive women know they have a lot of options, they’re only interested in the cream of the crop of men which includes tall men.
It’s highly subjective. I don’t think most women hate but rather they show a lot of pity or give off false enthusiasm that can really be hurtful even though they mean well like trying to refer you to their fat friend or the single mom with 4 kids they know that they think would be perfect for a short guy to date. Guys however used to try to pick on me and my other shorter friends so they can get into a fight just to boost their ego, but that’s mainly in our youth. As we get older, it’s mainly recycled jokes.
