Beautiful. GM Chen Xiaowang's performance usually is very martial, and it's rare to see him performing slowly and gently. Even his punch and foot stomping became Yang-like. And his stance was rather high like that of the Sun style. I wonder if this 9 form is designed for the elderly??
In a Documentary he mentiones that Laojia Yi Lu (first form) used to be what people had to learn first (all 74 movements) but when Chen Taiji had to be taught China-wide, he had to make shorter versions to get people started. Hence the 9, 18, 27, 56 forms
The greatest gift I have ever recieved
En Buenos Aires,en 2001,aprendi con el maestro Chen Xiaowang la Forma 19.Gracias al video, ahora voy a aprender la Forma 9.
Beautiful. So much more to this than first meets the eye.

It's really a pity it skips the first few movements
Every Chen style form starts the same way, you'll be able to easily pick it up from another form
Xiaojia?
BARRR What?
No, just a very short version of Laojia Yi Lu
As far as I know, Chen Xiaowang is dajia (大架), but honestly there's not many informations about 小架 and 大架
