    One of the most beautiful executions of the 24 forms Yang style I have ever seen. Each movement is under perfect control by Master Gao illustrating the power , flexibility, and balance required for an amazing performance. No wonder 32 Gold medals. Bravo!

    Truly a 'Master'
    Her movements are countless years of hard work, that transformed into what is called a 'Master' in this particular art.
    Such epic body control... Flawlessly, Effortlessly and Beautifully performed.

      What measure are you using to label her a master?

    • @Emomomotional
      @Emomomotional 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe it's fair to call anyone a master who devoted their years of time and effort- soul- into mastering anything at all.
      I don't know the others definitions but currently I see more accumulated effort than I could possibly quantify.

      Excellent in terms of "stage performing form". I've seen many so call "world champion" performance, most of them are pretty good. However, they all lack something. They probably did not have time to learn/practice Push Hands and Fa Jing. That is the core of Taijiquan, not the form. I believe their Taijiquan will be at more advanced level if they mastered those.

    Her movements are very fluid and determined. It takes a lot of practice to do it so well. Thank you. It looks a little different from the 24 Yang Style we do in my group which is something I've learned to expect. Even in my small town, the routines vary from practice group to practice group, and I'm not talking about Yang versus Chen. It's all Yang! I prefer 85 as demonstrated by Master David Bao. It is a longer more strenuous, but more fluid routine 24 or 42, not that I can perform it correctly or fluidly! :D Thank you again for sharing this beautiful performance!

    That was fantastic and amazing Tai Chi performed by a great master. At one point I studied with TT Liang in Boston who was head student of Chen Man Ching. I love the Yang Style and it's so great to see this wonderful performance of it. Thank you Master Jiamin Gao for this beautiful demonstration of the Yang Style 24 forms!

    • @JL-bo4bh
      @JL-bo4bh 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheng Man Ching is indeed a great master. His simplified form is superior to Yang's original, in my opinion. Again, form is just the beginning of Taijiquan. Without learning push hand and Fa Jing, one is still at outer circle.

    Just an awesome form. I literally learned how to do this form this past spring, and seeing how Master Gao moves leaves me speechless. Her bow stances are so strong, and how she is able to generate so much power to lift her body weight in the Snake Creeps Down section from her hips and quad muscles tells me she is very flexible and strong. I hope when I get good at Tai Chi Fist forms I can look some what as good as this video, but I have a long way to go. Again, thank you for sharing this video, an awesome form demonstration!

      Ordinary people can master Tai Chi without making a career out of it (so that they can have a career in something else, like Medicine, Law, Engineering, ... etc).
      This woman's effort basically amounts to a waste of a career (that she never pursued, b/c she was doing this with all her time).

    I see so many practitioners barely if ever going into a stance, with movements that demonstrate no martial heritage and looking more like robots in trance. Ah, but here deep beautiful stances are fully stretched out with definitive martial heritage in abundant evidence, and our petite heroine swims through space, smooth as a gentle summer breeze, and in complete command with balance perfect, eyes riveted to the action and taking it all home. She's got it! And Tao's got her. Beautiful.

      This is the Beijing 24 simplified Yang style form, the most widely practised Tai Chi form in the world. There is also a traditional Yang long form, of around 100 movements, depending how you count them.
      You may be thinking of the 42 form, which combines Yang, Chen, Wu, and Sun, as a competition form.

    • @curtissweat5873
      @curtissweat5873 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      My understanding is that 24 Form Yang Style Tai Chi movements are all drawn from the tradional styles. I've practiced Long Form since 1972, but 24 has improvements that bear mention. Its shorter. Most people dont have the time for longer forms. A major improvement is that it teaches left and right Grasp the Bird's Tail. Keep in mind that the four parts - Ward Off, Roll Back, Press, and Push are one half of the Eight Changes (Ba Gua).
