I bought these for my wife two Christmases ago. And that dog on insert and 8 mm thread was kicking my butt. I figured out about the 8 mm thread but broke it because I was dumb enough to use a power drill. But they 've been installed now. Thanks friend.

All you need is a steel brush bit and use a drill to clean out the rust in the holes
