Some singers/songs move me out of the ordinary, and put me in a world of harmony and melody and rhythm. It's always a little sad to leave that and come back to the here and now, but its better than never going there. Home Free's done that form me more than once--thanks for the reaction. Another singer that often does that for me is Lara Fabian--particularly her live performances. One of my favorites of her's is "You're Not From Here" th-cam.com/video/Vv8XFXKXRLI/w-d-xo.html She's been performing for 30yrs and has a large catalogue to choose from
Love your message of "Just be a good human" and "be humble and kind". The world wants us angry and with a victim mentality, you are part of the solution. Much health and success!!
Being able to reference the original song really lets you hear the similarities and differences! Home Free are masters at cover arrangements that pay homage to the originals! Love the reaction!
Watching this after we lost David Crosby and this version does this lovely song absolute justice! My eyes are all teary listening to their harmonies and thinking about the harmonies of CSNY
One of the things that impresses me when I watch people reacting to Home Free in general and this song in specific is that it's not unusual for the reactor to become speechless, even though they know they intend to give a verbal reaction. The same thing happens with Pentatonix, when they perform Hallelujah. That one makes people cry. We're beyond fortunate that we have the ability to experience music this way, with such ease in the comfort of our own homes. It's one of the stupendous gifts of technology.
This is literally Home Free's masterpiece. Calling them "talented" is an injustice because they have put in the work to turn their talent into skill. Their voices couldn't be more synchronized if one person did all of the parts.
I grew up listening to CSN & had their album with this song Helplessly Hoping. Absolutely loved them & their harmonies. But I must say since I discovered Home Free they more than do justice to all the songs they cover. And this song is perfection to me with the 5 part harmonies. I can't say enough about how great these guys are & humble while still staying respectful to the original song.
Their harmonies are just spectacular. They are so in tune with each other. You need to check out their new ones, One Man Band and Working For A Living. Both bangers.
You can never do enough Home Free and thankfully they have more vids than anyone. And they’re not blocked!! I even saw a reactor interview them - they’re so available to us fans!
Misty Mountains w/Peter Hollens is a fantastic song to get a real application for Tim Foust's bass ❤ Prepare your ears for amazement and your body for major goosebumps 😆
I'm with you, cold chills and goose bumps!!! I liked the original but Home Free really took it to a whole new level. Thank you for the wonderful reaction, looking forward to seeing your next one.
This has to be where the expression "Moved to Tears" came from. I don't know how it's possible to witness something so breathtakingly beautiful - something that fills your soul so full that it literally runs out your eyes. ❤❤❤
This song was my introduction toCSN as a middle school kid. Someone gave me a 45 of this and Marrakesh Express. I was hooked. Home free does it justice!
C,S,N & Y really hit on something BiG when they started singing in harmony like this! It literally sent them to the top of the charts. Bee-u-tee--full!
if anyone needed proof that these men don’t need gimmicks and complicated videos to be masters of their craft, this should silence any doubt. In my opinion, one of Home Free’s best, a master class in 5 part harmony. I love that you held your earphones closer to catch ever note!
Jamel, I know you did your top ten or twenty favorite songs of all time recently, but your reaction to this Home Free selection was unlike anything you have heard musically. This is the pinnacle of A Capella perfection, timing, synchronization, and harmony. Vocally, I believe it is unsurpassed. So, you may consider adding this somewhere in your all time favorite list. I could tell you were shocked and you said you got goosebumps. Just saying, Home Free imho, is vocally the best band I have ever heard and I am now 73 and have heard nearly everything.
I think Chance almost blew you backward in your seat with that starting note! And then Tim comes in with the bass that just rattles your bones (and shakes your headphones LOL). This is one of my favorites; it's so perfect and powerful and strong in its purity and simplicity. Loved your reaction!
This gave me chills as well. Awesome 5 part harmonies. Adam is singing as well. I love how it started with Chance & then Rob comes in & they are so in tune with each other & that they end at exactly the same time. That must be difficult to do. & then Austin and Tim doing their thing. Love the bass as well. Home Free makes me wish I had even ¼ their talent to be able to sing. Great reaction.
Yes. Finally one I wanted. I love these harmonies. They’ve released some great songs recently. “One Man Band” ; and a cover of both “Crazy” (Patsy Cline) and “ Workin’ For A Living” (Huey Lewis and the News). Please react to the Home Free versions. Then you should listen to another of my favorite acapella groups VoicePlay. They do a great cover of “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. Thanks for your reaction
I always loved Crosby, Stills and Nash singing this, and I agree with you. I get more depth of the words meaning with this cover. How could anyone not be moved by Home Free singing this. And, yes, headphones a must. Loved your reaction.
I had to come back and watch your reaction to Home Free “Helplessly Hoping” again. Loved it. My wife and I saw them in concert in Grand Rapids 2 weeks ago. It was an incredible 2 hours of music.
I’m so glad to see you reacting to Homefree again I’ve missed it. They have a lot more stuff out there and some new stuff too. They had to get really creative since they couldn’t tour last year due to Covid but they still kept creating content. VoicePlay is another good Acapella group
That was awesome .. But I have to admit, I get goose-bumps listening the the CSNY rendition ... That's not to minimize the talent of Home Free ... and awesome group in its own right !
Agree with you Jamal. Such a good rendition. One of my favorites of theirs. Home Free’s harmonies are so damn good. If I remember this is very similar to CSN’s version except with guitars. Loved the video too. It was Chance’s idea, he’s the first singer in this. He wanted the black and white film. Great reaction Jamal. Have a good weekend!
I'm so happy you've done another HF song Jamal. I love all your reactions, but you really seem to enjoy doing Home Free. These harmonies are lovely and haunting at the same time. Thanks for the fantastic content, as always!
Thanks Jamel for this reaction. I’ve been a home fry for a while. This is the song that started it all for me. Give a listen to “In the blood “ and “ End of the road”. Great covers by them.💕💕🎶🎶🦋
Oh, what a nice surprise! I love the song by CS&N, and since you turned me on to Home Free I've become a fan. This is a treat, and my first time hearing; thnx, J..
This song is an absolute masterpiece by HF. Such fantastic voices, so clear, so great. Another proof of the unique talents of these guys. Love it! ❤️ Thanks for your reaction!
Jamel, you're not the only one getting goosebumps! I still get them every time I hear this song. Home Free's harmonies are impeccable. And this version is much too short...
wow!! me too, man-o... chills and my sub woke RIGHT up!! now i gotta go find more of "home free"!!! knowing the orig. song (i performed it in MANY bands) this REALLY hit home

See the many beautiful TH-cam covers of this song, oh this is one, see the original! Also the Deangelis sisters?? I hope I remember that right.
Dude my headphones were too. Well done my friend.

I've always wished this song was about 2 minutes longer.
Only two minutes? I can get into at least 10 minutes of this, but then again I'm a Home Fry from waaay back, lol.
Sounds like you need to put the song on repeat. I love the harmonies and and tone of the song.
It's no where near long enough.
Definitely too short. They need to do more like this. I love their music, but this is calming.
Totally agree! Great song.
Absolutely a master class in 5part harmony. Home Free is the pinnacle.
So glad ya back to Home Free, they have so many new songs out there
There’s only 1 problem with this…………………. It wasn’t long enough
Their butt remix is hilarious and really good!
Their harmonies were absolutely angelic... their sound could not be any tighter if they were blood brothers. Wonderful reaction, bruh.
I am a huge fan of Crosby Still and Nash however Home Free bought it home for sure. Absolutely amazing 🎶❤️🎶❤️
If only the would do suite.
I wonder how Home Free would do on "Southern Cross."
This CSN song is in my top 10 of all songs. Home Free does it justice!
Hauntingly beautiful. Artists who paint with their voices.
Being able to reference the original song really lets you hear the similarities and differences! Home Free are masters at cover arrangements that pay homage to the originals! Love the reaction!
We could hear that vibrating!
That’s what I picture actual angels sounding like on your way to heaven!
Watching this after we lost David Crosby and this version does this lovely song absolute justice! My eyes are all teary listening to their harmonies and thinking about the harmonies of CSNY

The added bass voice makes you realize what the CSNY version was missing.
mind....blown. It is overwhelmingly & hauntingly beautiful. I can't explain how their sounds resonate, almost at a cellular level. Crazy.
Helplessly Hoping....stellar harmonies acapella. These guys are the real deal.
With these voice there is no need for the invention of autotune, damn perfect harmonies
The final chord is what it sounds like when somebody really loves you.

I agree! Many times I have thought they did it better. So good!
Their harmonies are just spectacular. They are so in tune with each other. You need to check out their new ones, One Man Band and Working For A Living. Both bangers.
They just dropped a new one! God Bless the Broken Road...just BEAUTIFUL
You can never do enough Home Free and thankfully they have more vids than anyone. And they’re not blocked!! I even saw a reactor interview them - they’re so available to us fans!
No favorite singer, no favorite song, harmonies insane, they nail everything they do as a group or individually.
Wow, just wow!
Always loved the original but this is rather special
Thank you for a wonderful reaction. Glad to see Home Free again.
Misty Mountains w/Peter Hollens is a fantastic song to get a real application for Tim Foust's bass ❤ Prepare your ears for amazement and your body for major goosebumps 😆

The harmonies were perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@@@@
Great reaction video!
GREAT SONG TOO
We love Home Free
This has to be where the expression "Moved to Tears" came from. I don't know how it's possible to witness something so breathtakingly beautiful - something that fills your soul so full that it literally runs out your eyes. ❤❤❤
The only problem with this song is that it's less than 3 minutes long. We NEED an extended version.
This one demonstrates the entire groups singing talents. They don't do it often except for special songs.
Pure perfection, the difficulty is extreme, then using the double meaning in the chorus.
if anyone needed proof that these men don’t need gimmicks and complicated videos to be masters of their craft, this should silence any doubt. In my opinion, one of Home Free’s best, a master class in 5 part harmony. I love that you held your earphones closer to catch ever note!
It's easy to forget that people are capable of so much beauty.
As a dyed in the wool CSN fan .... They did a beautiful job...
Fabulous ... The boys are bang on!
Good to see you doing Home Free again. Miss your reactions of them.
Incredible. I’m sure CSN are proud of the way Home Free performed this song. Tim coming in and holding down the bass. Oh my!!!
Beautiful! First time hearing Home Free!
That bass adds another dimension to this song. Just glorious! 😎
Yes! Loved your reaction! Speechless!

Thanks, Jamal, for a great review. They did a wonderful job singing this classic.
So beautiful. Their voices are so powerful. Love the sounds, they put feelings in the song. Great Great reaction!!!
Their harmonizing is out of this world and fate is the only way to put it
They reinvented a classic. Never believed could be done. Just watched expected another songs destruction. Bravo.
Home Free just amazes with way they can make a song give you chills and like you said vibrate your headphones. Thank you so much for a great reaction.
They harmonize beautifully!
Never heard this before. So beautiful gave me goosebumps!!! Thank you
This one is truly special. Just beautiful voices singing with such precision. Mind-blowing‼
This gave me chills as well. Awesome 5 part harmonies. Adam is singing as well. Love it when you're stunned. Awesome reaction.
That was amazing, totally not long enough. Goose bump central
Great song Crosby stills Nash and Young one of the best band ever💕💕WV
If there was an award for cover version of the year, you just heard the winner.
I had to come back and watch your reaction to Home Free “Helplessly Hoping” again. Loved it. My wife and I saw them in concert in Grand Rapids 2 weeks ago. It was an incredible 2 hours of music.
A master class in how to build harmonies
Blows me away every time I hear it by Home Free
One of my favorites! My sister bought this album back in 1970, and we would listen to it over, and over!!!
This is hands down the best rendition I have ever heard.
I’m so glad to see you reacting to Homefree again I’ve missed it. They have a lot more stuff out there and some new stuff too. They had to get really creative since they couldn’t tour last year due to Covid but they still kept creating content. VoicePlay is another good Acapella group
This is my favorite of Home Free's so far, your facial expressions were just awesome, great reaction.
If I remember this is very similar to CSN’s version except with guitars. my speakers on my computer sounded like they were the best speakers on earth...never have they sounded so good..something in their voices..truelly
I'm so happy you've done another HF song Jamal. I love all your reactions, but you really seem to enjoy doing Home Free. These harmonies are lovely and haunting at the same time. Thanks for the fantastic content, as always!
Home Free premiered their cover of Bless the Broken Road yesterday 😁😍
This is one of my favorites of theirs! You haven’t heard harmony until you’ve heard Home Free do this song.🐝❤️🤗
This one touched my soul.
Thanks Jamel for this reaction. I’ve been a home fry for a while. This is the song that started it all for me. Give a listen to “In the blood “ and “ End of the road”. Great covers by them.💕💕🎶🎶🦋
Frickin ear candy! Love Home Free guys.
It's just stunning! And, too short!
His bass is astounding.
Tim Foust is awesome, listen to HF Mayday and you'll find his tenor is just as stunning. Yes, tenor.
@@jamessweet5341 He does have an amazing range. Beautiful voice.
Love the harmonies.
Oh my goodness Jamal! Your reaction on this is priceless! We obviously love Home Free but we watched this 10 times just to see your reaction! Love it!
They are one of the best i have heard. They can sing anything.

Powerful harmonies. Doesn't get better than that.
Always loved CSN, and this gave me goosebumps! Gotta look these guys up.
Oh my I have never heard this song before absolutely gorgeous the harmonizing is amazing thank you for sharing💕
What beautiful harmonies. I never got to hear this before. Thank you. Jamel !!! 💘 🙏
Jamel, you're not the only one getting goosebumps! I still get them every time I hear this song. Home Free's harmonies are impeccable. And this version is much too short...
I need to thank you. You are reason I found Home Free. They have helped me through this past year.
Words are not enough! It's a shame Home Free doesn't get the recognition they deserve.
I have goosebumps. My chest feels like it's vibrating. I forget Adam songs beautifully
wow!! me too, man-o... chills and my sub woke RIGHT up!! now i gotta go find more of "home free"!!! knowing the orig. song (i performed it in MANY bands) this REALLY hit home
Have fun on your adventure that leads to addiction! Home Free has so many great songs, both covers and originals. And they venture into all genres. 😁
@Roller Dragon You are going down into a rabbit hole. You have been warned. But you will love it. I did.
Home Free is awesome and powerful.
That WAS incredible!!! Chills and mist with that one! Wow...
Absolute vocal perfection.
C, S & N has been my favorite band for years. They were my first concert, still have the t-shirt! Home Free are really a talented bunch!!
