How did you do the last part? What to press exactly to duplicate evenly spaced?

After you set a second duplicate, this sets the spacing. Continue to move your hand and multiple duplicates will appear

The first time you duplicate, you shift the original. I already wrote about this, the copy function is not well thought out

Yeah maybe a green [+] needs to appear like the red [-] does.
