Lol. Though in all honesty, he’s more of an “efficiency runner”. Like he’s not speedrunning community center, but he’d tell you that you could THEORETICALLY do community center in like a season and a half if the stardew seed is correct and you count your steps correctly or some bs.
Efficiency runners are much more prone to going insane when thinking of all these possibilities.
@@maddiemcnugget1076 That's definitely true of his TH-cam channel, but he does also do regular speedruns and is top 10 in quite a few of the categories. He actually has the WR in seeded perfection, if only by default at the moment because it's a recent category and no-one else has put in the time to plan a better run. Even so, just a couple of days ago he finished off another seeded perfection run that wiped more than an hour off his previous record, and he's planning to do it again once 1.6 hits, so I think it's pretty fair to say he's a speedrunner!

It was cool, but he could have the kids over multiple days, he just wasn't allowed to gain any combat xp until he gained all his combat experience.
(He actually manipulated the game so he didn't have to wait to have each child, but he did a test with an actual family on a test run to make sure it would work.)
Actually, BlaDe married Sebastian in the file, so he had to adopt and dove all these children. But I think it takes the same amount of time in game.

@@Fanimati0n I don't think it was intended as an abortion allegory, considering the children are already born and possibly already toddlers by the time you can turn them into doves. It definitely is meant to scold the player for the action, however, since the shrine dedicated to this feature is called the Dark Shrine of Selfishness and requires a prismatic shard to use (typically seen as a difficult item to acquire for a casual gamer), and the TV cutscene only happens if you sacrifice one of your children like this.
Iirc there was dissatisfaction surrounding the original child mechanic due to its severe limitations, however, since the farmer's children constantly wandered around (occasionally blocking the farmer's path) and could never grow up past toddler age. Some people wanted the option to get rid of these children because they were seen as a disappointing annoyance rather than a charming gameplay feature. This was the result of trying to meet that demand.
I do find the option to destroy the crib (preemptively preventing the option to have children at all in Stardew) to be done a bit spitefully and/or dramatically, though - getting rid of the crib results in it exploding.
im guessing people wanted a way to get rid of children, and then concernedape added this little secret to guilt trip people who'd want such a thing.
because you cant just go back and get haunted, you have to watch a tv channel for it to activate
