You are well missed Paul Harvey.. I grew up listening to you .. I learned so much from your hard work and your radio broadcast.. the world could use another one like you..
I worked for a builder. I was 17 and his helper. He brought a salad and bought the two best steaks at the grocery store on the way to the job site. My job was to start the charcoal in a small cast iron hibachi grill and have the steaks med rare and on the plate right at noon. We would sit and eat while listening to Paul Harvey. Every day, same meal, same radio program. He said I was the best helper he ever had.
I'm 56 and I also listened to him with my mom and dad while I was growing up. I lost them both in 2023. I miss them every day. This brought back so many good memories.
Decades ago while working in rural radio, Paul Harvey was a staple feature of programming at the AM station. Don't know how this came up in my feed, but am looking forward to spending more evenings finding out "the rest of the story."
Even as a 10 to 12 year old kid I would listen to Paul Harvey when he came on the radio,,,thats saying a lot for the man when he could capture a child's attention
I worked with my grandparents and uncle at his business. The Rest of the Story would be in the radio about 4 PM (87-88). All work would stop. We placed the phones on hold. We told the customers to listen. It was a nice bonding moment. ❤
I was young when Paul Harvey hung up his radio voice. For just a few moments when he told his masterful stories, time seemingly stopped. No one to this day comes close to his wonderful gift of telling a story.
A voice full of wisdom that will never ever be replaced...Could tell a story and teach valuable lessons with only his voice...I listened to him often in my youth. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I feel ya. I loved listening to him on the radio. His stories actually came alive. They weren't just unfeeling articles about silly minutiae like the news today. Paul actually brought fascination to his work.
"Hello America. Stand by for NEWS !" From Chicago' s WLS as memory serves. We heard it from KOA in Denver. Paul Harvey may been the last of his kind. Oh, he had his quirks and biases, but as a broadcaster, no real equal. And radio changed. We all changed. The world around us, changed. Years came and went. So too, "Paul Harvey....good day!"
An interesting fact about Paul Harvey - when he was starting in broadcasting, he was told he’d never make it in radio - he was told his voice and delivery/cadence were both too strange
He was the best at sharing what was entertaining and informative and was respectful to his audience.

Thats my livestock, horses and cats, dogs and the great outdoors

Awww🎉
Wonder if Jim's asthma cleared when he got away from the cats?😉
I thought that was to have been the rest of the story. 😂
I believe so...
Cats go out n get into everything then bring it back so you can inhale something new to your respiratory system..
The name on the boat in "Garfield's Halloween," is Carolyn.
My mom had a Cocatiell ,she taught it to say ,,,,hear Garfild ,,, kitty ,kitty ,kitty 😅
Once he said Jim I knew who it was!
And the moral is to take your time and be sure you really know someone before you marry them.
How did I guess Garfield ❤?
A catless marriage -- I have this ideal!
My favorite story from Paul Harvey was the audiobook “Mr and Mrs Erotic American”
Real American hreo
My Mom had severe allergy to cats .
A farmboy that did not hunt rabbits, or enjoy song birds...of course not, too many cats!
And now you know the reast of the story good day
It’s not about me or you anymore self love is a lie if you don’t stand up for something you will fall for it anything
25 cats 🤔
Why wouldn't she reacted to him when they first met 🤔
He was a great storyteller but his apparent right wing outlook turned me off in the late 60s.
Too bad you are such a sensitive snowflake, had to miss Paul’s wonderful stories, just because he held some different views from yours.
Brings back alot very good memories ❤
