honestly i thought the 3rd dress was magical. she just look so bridal and so regal in that dress, i wonder if maybe the struggle of getting it on soured her on it before she could actually appreciate how well it suited her.
I definitely agree, but it's her choice. I do Honestly think the 3rd one was Gorgeous. But I applaud her for not saying yes to the Dress if she didn't feel comfortable, and didn't feel like it was the one.
I wish they would encourage the brides to leave without saying "yes" more often. So many women who say "yes" on this show end up changing their mind after filming!
I don't agree with the assistant that any girl can wear any dress. Some dresses don't enhance certain figure types - they can create lumps and bumps where they may not be much before, for example, satin can create a big stomach on someone who doesn't have one, just because of how the material shines in a certain place or fold, and mermaids don't look good on women who are big round the middle - and I speak as one of those women - you should wear a dress that gives you the waist you don't have, ie one that flares out at the waist, rather than one that makes you go straight down from the chest. In other words, you dress to suit your shape. The 3rd dress looked much better on her, and of course would come in her size, it gave her a waist that the one shoulder didn't. I think she allowed the standard shop size which of course was tight (theyre are always tiny!) to influence her choice.
Well then I guess it’s a good thing that people don’t always wear things that are supposed to “make them look good” and avoid things that “don’t enhance anything”. I think something that’s truly beautiful is when a girl finds something that she ABSOLUTELY loves, and she just shines in it, because she feels confident. Not all women dress to promote themselves to other people like a product. And what women DONT need is someone trying to tell them that they don’t have the right to wear things that they love because they “look bad”. And besides, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What you may call a dress that makes someone look “bad”, I might call it gorgeous. So do us all a favor, Chris, and don’t tell women that they don’t have the right to wear whatever they want, because it’s their choice.
@@alyn5083 I didn't say they didn't have the right, but to quote curvy brides, "just because you can, doesn't mean you should". Also to quote them, "I don't want her to look at the pictures down the line and say 'why didn't someone stop me'". They are the queens of enhancing a figure, finding a dress the bride looks amazing in, and feels comfortable in, making that happiness you mention shine out, rather than detracting from it. For your info, I'm a woman, and one that's rather round across the middle area thanks to a double back injury, so I speak from experience rather than a critical standpoint. I'm curious if you want to look your best, why you'd choose to wear something that clings in all the wrong places and highlights the bumpy bits? I mean, if you want to, go for it, but I thought the aim was to look your best on your wedding day?
I think the consultant was saying, that a bride shouldn't feel restricted to one design because they are curvy. The consultant wasn't necessarily suggesting that every dress look good on everybody. Some people can be thin, and an outfit don't look good on them to other people. That's just how it is. But NO one should be consumed with what other people think or say about them good or bad.
PREACH! 🙌 and when they do stock plus sizes, why is it like BARELY plus-size, like a 16? get some size 28s in there, you can always clip them if they're too big but if they're too small the bride can't even try 'em on.
They should take a look at the curvy brides boutique in the UK here. They have larger sizes but go up to some very large sizes, and are awesome at helping us plus size women find a dress that fits them beautifully. Those ladies are amazing.
And Kleinfeld will shove you into it, it won’t look good. Or they’ll just clip it to your front so you can imagine how you’ll look. When a bride makes an appointment, ask for A. Her size range B. Her budget range Rather than get her into the store, and break her heart.
Nope I agree! I was so glad she walked away and did not buy it! It made her look like a stuffed sausage it was not flattering on her at all and I was shocked her group said it looked so good on her ! The other two were much better.
I like the first one. The detailing is very classy and the shape suits her. However, the neckline is to square for her. The second one looks like an eighties prom dress with all the ruffles and its kind of frumpy- like a grandma going to bingo night vibe. The one shoulder suits her though. The third one really suits her and the colour of the top goes well with her skin tone. I'd add a single beaded strap to that and then it would be perfect.
Absolutely hated the second dress! Just awful and unflattering to her figure, and I didn't think it was really that "va-va-voom". It just looked bunched up to me. On the other hand I LOVED the third dress! Way more flattering, much more/better bling and (I thought) more glamorous. Oh well, I'm sure she ended up with the perfect dress for her.
There needs to be a plus size wedding dress store. When I got married in the 90s, there were none. They had two dresses for plus size. I didn’t really like it, but living in Alaska, there wasn’t much choice then.
