I love to shoot mushrooms but here in the Netherlands, the best time is middle to late October after some days of heavy rainfall I have this more or less secret place (away from the walking paths in the dunes) where there are a lots of mushrooms in a variety of types, sizes, and colors. I use at least one external triggered flash with a snoot and grid. What I also do is light up the (big) mushroom and shoot from below so they get a bit translucent top. Thanks for sharing.
Mushrooms are good fun. Problem we have is they tend to get destroyed or eaten quite early and they can be a pain to find sometimes. Maybe a little early in the year at the moment. I’ll be trying this again in a month or so that’s for sure. Thanks for watching.
Great video Chris! I'm glad Kieran Suddaby called out your channel this morning! Really great idea with the LED light. I've never shot mushrooms before but can image it brings a new dimension to the image. Great stuff! Look forward to seeing more content!
dude the b roll of the spider dropping off that mushroom... what a great shot!!! ALSO great photos as always too. I agree with you man, I hate shooting anywhere when its humid and hot (not just in the woods) I cant wait for the weather to cool off out here.. unfortunately it will be in the 90's here till octoberish 🤷♂️
Yeah got real lucky with the timing on that spider. You get the weather I’d love! The UK climate is just damp all year round. But it does make for some great conditions now and again.

Hi mate can you tell me the brand of that little light? We want to check it out but there is no link in your description. Cheers
It’s a Samtian AL81 on Amazon. Costs about £16. Proper Amazon special but does a job.
Perfect, thanks so much!
Beautiful shots, what’s the tripod and head are you using in the vid
That’s a manfrotto element with the centre pole removed. Thanks for watching
