      While the world's eyes are on the war in Gaza, hundreds of Palestinians have been driven from their homes by extreme Israeli settlers. The UN states that 700 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since October 7. In Gaza 17000 orphans have lost both their parents. Is this
      Appartheid is not democracy. There is a lot of evidence of Israel’s long-standing violations of international law. It has unilaterally annexed East Jerusalem, built illegal settlements in the occupied territory, and continued to build the separation wall in the occupied territory despite the International Court of Justice declaring it illegal in 2004.
      The UN Special Rapporteur and several human rights organisations (see Amnesty, Human Rights Watch, B’Tselem) have stated that Israel’s system of rule in the Occupied Palestinian Territory is actually apartheid. Restrictions of movement, forced displacement of Palestinian communities, demolition of houses, land grabbing and settler violence and other human rights violations that occur under the occupation are well documented.

      Really? go study your history of the 1948 war. The Arabs encouraged the Palestinians to leave so as to be out of the way when the five Arab armies attacked Israel so the Palestinians will not be collateral damage. 80 percent of Palestinians left without ever seeing a Jew or hearing a shot fired.
      They did not expect to be away from their homes for more than 2 weeks.
      unfortunately Israel won the war. They Arab leaders that encouraged the Palestinians to leave in the first place abandoned the Palestinians. Yes there were some displacements, this happens in all wars, but the Palestinian refugee problem is a creation of the Arabs and the Palestinians themselves.

      No, they were not. 17 or so years illegal Israeli sieg on Gaza, strangelling any economic growth and e.g. limiting the kalories per perso re food allowed into Gaza. Israel's "administrative detention" by Israeli law and confirmed by an Israeli supreme court, whereby Palestinian persons can be imprisoned without any charge for decays ... Israel not 'granting' building permits to Palestinian persons on land legally owned by that person often for generations in the by Israel illegally occupied Palestinian terretories. The Israeli IDF every couple of years invading Gaza, whilst most Gazans were already refugees from previous Israeli massacres ...The destruction of cultural monoments and building / villages etc, evedencing Palestinian historic presents not fitting the Israeli ' narrative'...

      The word Palestine derives from Philistia, the name given by Greek writers to the land of the Philistines, who in the 12th century BCE occupied a small pocket of land on the southern coast, between modern Tel Aviv-Yafo and Gaza. The name was revived by the Romans in the 2nd century CE in “Syria Palaestina,” designating the southern portion of the province of Syria, and made its way thence into Arabic, where it has been used to describe the region at least since the early Islamic era. After Roman times the name had no official status until after World War I and the end of rule by the Ottoman Empire, when it was adopted for one of the regions mandated to Great Britain
      The Palestinians were GIVEN the land of Gaza by the UN. I repeat given. No one wanted them. Jordon, Egypt, Lebanon all expelled them for trying to overthrow their governments prior to 1947. At the same time, when Israel came into being, they offered citizenship to everyone that wanted to stay and live in Israel.

      It is documented history that two former Israeli prime ministers (Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamir) were designated as terrorists by the British government in the 1940s before Israel declared statehood on May 14, 1948.
      They carried out terroristic attacks against the British and against native Arab Palestinian Christians, Muslims, and Jews.
      The King David Hotel bombing on July 22, 1946, by the militant right-wing Zionist underground organization Irgun during the Jewish insurgency in which 91 people of various nationalities were killed, including Britons, Arabs and Jews, and 46 were injured and the Deir Yassin massacre which took place on April 9, 1948, when Zionist paramilitaries attacked the village of Deir Yassin near Jerusalem, Mandatory Palestine, murdering at least 107 Palestinian villagers including women and children are some of the examples of their handiwork.

    THE ORIGINAL SIN: Dr Nahum Goldmann, President of the World Jewish Congress, writing in New Outlook, November-December 1974. Goldmann wrote;
    "If we had invested in the Arab problem a tenth of the energy, the passion, the ingenuity, the resourcefulness which we developed in order to gain the support of Britain, France the US and Weimar Germany, our destiny in the development of Israel may have been quite different. We were not ready for compromises; we did not regard it as a major problem. We did not make sufficient efforts to get, if not the full agreement of the Arabs, at least their acquiescence to a Jewish state, which I think would have been possible. That was the original sin."
