Good to see that you have put a bad experience of a brand to one side to evaluate a new model with a clean slate. That shows good maturity and I like that. Loved the video and the first thoughts and thanks for sharing. See you on the next vid
Absolutely LOVE your reviews!!! Very thorough, and it's great to see you don't scoot over any detail! Unrelated, would you mind if I tattooed your logo on my forehead :)? Additionally unrelated... would you go w/ a twist throttle if available?
I just received my Mantis 8 and really like it. It's a great value and the tubeless tires are huge. The only downside is Kaabo's customer service is NON existent! They never return emails and there phone# in El Monte,Ca. just rings with not ability to leave a message! If something goes wrong with it under warranty, etc. I bet I'm screwed!
Hey thanks for all the content recently! Kinda looking into giving Kaabo a chance at redemption, since the experience I had with the Pro was pretty horrendous! Im 5'9 225Lbs so almost fulfilling 75% -80% of these scooters max capacity, which has got me looking into Varla Eagle One. The upgrades you made made it seem to pretty much allow you to experience the ride and not the paranoia of something coming loose or snapping, rotor/hub warping. Now that the brakes you upgraded come with the Varla EO out of box, might wait for the Mantis 8 full review but after experiencing the Mantis Pro speed and adrenaline, kinda seeing I am leaning towards the Varla. I do live in an apartment on the second floor though and recognized the point of not being a daily it for work was my situation last year. Keep having fun, congrats on the website launch as well!!!
While enjoying your review you may to contrary comments. Regarding the turn signals you said they were dingy during the daylight because they are recessed but you said you would never complain about more safety features on an electric scooter, yet when you found that the horn button either doesn't work or the the horn doesn't exist you said that it is a small thing to not have. I totally disagree, I even believe that a war may be more important then non-visible turn signals. I have only 30 miles on my wolf- Warrior X and already the horn has saved me from hitting people that stepped out in front of me twice, you also need to warn Vehicles should they attempt to cut in front of you or if someone opens the car door in front of you, therefore horns are critical on scooters in my opinion
Cool review!! Thinking of getting the pro version 800w dual motor as its the only one available here in NZ or the vsett 9+. Would u be doing a review for the vesett line?? Your reviews are awesome and honest so yeah hopefully u do so i can decide! Thank u!
Will you ever considered getting, buying this scooter from banggood, laotie es18 lite, I think they're 52v, 28.8ah, with dual motors, 21700 batteries, and they go for like 1000 dollars, great video, keep the the good work
Whats the difference between this and the FluidFreeRide version? I did not know there are 2 different versions, noting the price difference and motors.. I'm planning on picking up a Mantis soon and this really caught my attention..
@@Hachibearz not getting it anytime soon. had a big fall last week w the segway max and am holding off escootering for now. if you live in nyc or miami, i'd recommend spending the extra $ for the fluidfreeride version just because they have physical service repair shops. if you're going to be spending about $1000 on a scooter, might as well take warranty, repairs, etc., into consideration.
I starting to like what they have done with the Mantis 8. Tubeless tires should be standard for most of not all scooters. My Cruiser them and we'll over 500 miles on the odometer and still no flats. But I wanna see you full review for the Mantis 8 before I say anything else. Stem wiggle happens over time and I'm not a big fan for plastic mudguards either. As for the new Logos I will gladly buy 3 with the white accents. It will stand out better on my stealth black speeder. Nice video, looking forward to seeing the next video for the Victor if my eyes are correct. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌
I've heard several reviews for the Mantis a dual motor scooter, and those reviews said that hydraulic brakes are available as an option for an additional $89 is that true?
Hey bud see you riding in Orem once in a while right now I have a hi boy Titan I want to upgrade to either the varla eagle one or the mantis pro se im leaning towards the mantis what’s your opinion on that !
Does anyone bring their Mantis into their office and able to fit it under your desk? How’s your experience with that? I bought the Mantis for commute to work. Now I’m afraid I won’t be able to fit it by my desk at work. I didn’t realize how big it is.
Hi, can you please tell me what is the real world range at what speeds and weight. How is the ride quality compared to a let's say mantis 10. Really wondering between this and the Vsett 9+ (48V15.6Ah). In my country they are the same price.
Recently had my Mantis Elite stolen had no real issues with it. In fact I loved it. Now I'm thinking about replacing it with the Apollo Phantom. Or I could concider the Mantis 8 seems like a possible option what are your thoughts
Oof sorry man. The Phantom is quite bit more expensive and is definitely going to be bigger, faster and have more features than the Mantis 8, but if you want to save $1000 then the Mantis 8 is great option
I've been looking at getting a scooter for a while. Some of the parts look like bike components, especially the brakes. Is it possible to swap the brakes for a hydraulic set. Like throw on a Magura or Shimano brake set?
I'm in need of your help!!! Between mantis 8 or vsette 8(or 8+) or apollo (light, touring, ghost) which one would you recommend? My bugit is 1200-1300 max?
Do you think a single motor mantis 8 from fluid free ride is good for commuting and some grass and flat dry dirt? or is the one on this video better pls respond
Does anybody know if the newer fall versions have light up buttons, headlight and working horn as well? I saw a video here on TH-cam and he showed buttons that are LED lit now a headlight and a working horn so just want to clarify this. I wrote Kaabo received a response on my other question but not that
Thanks for the review. I just received my 8 and am having a blast. My biggest issue is the access to and changing the settings. For some reason my 8 came set km. and kick start disengaged. I've tried to access the settings with no luck. Now after riding I connected the charger and it didn't turn red (battery indicates apx 50%. Brick is green? Charging went as expected the first two days. Any help out there? Ideas?
I also have the Mantis 8, to access the settings press and hold the mode and power button for a few seconds and the PW is 1500 (at least for me). Then follow the instructions on the manual for the P-settings, for the charging, make sure you are connecting the charger correctly on the scooter, I noticed that the guide line is very small and many times I plug it in wrong, I hope that helps.
@@RK9Rides I got the need..the need for speed. Ninebot just didn't have the balls I was looking for. Looking at either vsett or kaabo..it's definitely worth the extra couple bucks for a more fun ride

What’s with the battery dying after 5 miles. Anyone else experience this? Is it normal after a full charge to see this decline? Ride was approximately 4.7 miles with a few hills going up approx 25 grade
It's nice little machine, but 8" tires are a no go for me. Even 10" on my Cruiser feel kinda small with the suspension it has. Fact that UK bike lanes are usually terrible quality, and riding on a road is basically an invitation for Police to stop you, take your ride and give you hefty fine, doesn't help. Need bigger wheels!

Congrats on being sent free electric bikes & scooters to review. You must be in heaven.
Started a job in the city and am trying to get into an electric scooter. This video was super helpful. Thank u very much
Great review! I really like the Mantis 8 so far. I have their (Kaabo USA's) Mantis 10 as well, which has been working out well for me.
Great scooter. Sadly its not the 800 w motor version from FFR

Hi!! If you get a chance, see if you can do a review on the "Vsett 8" scooter.
It would be nice if you would let us know the top speed and range as well as acceleration time to the top speed.
Just got my mantis 8 + today,and it's beast 👍

Can you do a 2 year update video on the mantis 8?
You are such a genuine guy you know. It's not 1,000 dollars it is 1100 plus tax.
It's actually less than $1000 with my coupon code in the description.

Great video 🤘 definitely changing my mind about the stem issue. Look forward to the long-term review. Can't wait to see the Pegasus shoot out.
Im new on scooter and im so excited to get one,i want a fun and fast scooter looking to get this one maybe.
I think you should definitely get some foam tires for the Pegasus
not hundred precent sure but i think u can transfer the mantis weels to the mantis 8 so u get a bit bigger weels

@RK9Rides I’m in the air about the varla eagle one or mantis pro which do you prefer for rough terrain and range?
a few months ago he did a video about it spoiler alert he chose the eagle one lol
Eagle One is much better than the Mantis Pro over rough terrain, the Mantis Pro gets better range. I'm partial to the Eagle One
I would rock that sticker if the blue were replaced with red on my red and black version of that same scooter I received today.
Do you think a single motor mantis 8 from fluid free ride is good for commuting and some grass and flat dry dirt? or is the one on this video better pls respond
I always prefer dual motors over a single motor so I think this Mantis is much better deal. It's also cheaper than the FFR version
ok
@@RK9Rides thanks
