Mike (if I may), Forgive my impertinence but I seem to remember that curcumin needs to be taken with black pepper to activate it. Therefore adding a shake of black pepper to the mix would be a good idea. Happy to apologise if I'm wrong :)
Why would I put pepper, any kind, in my smoothie when I can fresh grind the peppers in my meals - meals made from scratch, all fresh ingredients? Guess folk like pepper in their Smoothies but bot for me.
There were 100% lime juice ice bars, non GMO, in the freezer and I threw two in the blender with the bananas, when making a smoothie. They were SO GOOD!! Setting the blender on "whip",(whipped cream), instead of "blend", makes them thick and frothy, without ice 😋 🥰

Dr. Mike 1 Table spoon of cinnamon is too much. Especially cassia cinnamon (the most sold cinnamon) where Coumarin level is high and can do liver damage. Ceylon cinnamon has less coumarin.
Dr Mike, I think you are missing out on fiber when you peel the banana. Buy organic bananas, wash the banana, cut off each end and use the peel and the banana. 3 more grams of fiber.

I guess most of those troublesome recipes were made up back in the day when kids used to run outside, climb trees, jump and roll. but nowadays, when kids sit inside, replacing the sun with the square blue light, they really don't need that sugar. if you add a banana or a date, god forbid both, you can skip all sugar, you won't even be able to tell there's no added sugar

You only need the piperine. It will also not effect the flavor of the smoothie as much because you only need a tiny amount (10 mg)

I wonder how good smoothies are compared to just eating really well. Smoothies are not chewed, and chewing seems important.
Smoothies are perfect I add ultra fine oats in them for carbs and whey protein perfect for a quick power meal.

It depends on how low that you need to go. Most of the other ingredients are very low in carbohydrates. It will push you out of ketosis though.
