Yes, Alias Season 2 finale. Or season 4 finale. Maybe season 3? All of Alias! 😂
Mentalist season 3 finale
Okay, I know this is from the beforetimes and all, but the reveal that the "death" of Bobby Ewing on Dallas was literally just a dream. That twist definitely changed the entire season of that show.
Haven? The heroine turning out to be the villain with an altered personality and amnesia was quite the plot twist.
Yea I mean it’s not like everyone saw it coming or anything.
The good Place should’ve been first… I have watched over 300 tv shows and NONE of them completely blind-sighted me like Eleanor’s “This is the bad place!” I was like WHAAAAAAT and haven’t recovered since 😂
Not important but it’s “blindsided” love this rug pull though. One of my favourite shows. My favourite “this is the bad place” moment was in the jazz club, like they ever thought she would think she was in the good place 🤭🤣 obviously not as effective as the original one but makes me laugh every time.
plus, they could make juice at least 2 extra seasons with them "trying to pretend they don't know, but they knew all along" with different types of acts, and shows, but nope, they skip it all and go straight to "attempt 800, what the heck did I do to make this happen..."
The Twilight Zone did it first in the episode "A Nice Place To Visit".
"Mr Valentine, THIS IS THE OTHER PLACE !"
I originally thought it was going to be revealed she was in limbo, and she was being tested because she wasn’t evil, just mad. Then they introduced the medium place and I was all in on it actually being the good place.
@@DrFrankNStein-sf2ww goodness that still gives me the Willie's. That's why this wasn't hard to figure out, Rod Serling did it. His work was the baseline of horror and suspense.
"It was Agatha all along!" Even three years later, that ridiculously catchy song is forever in my head! I'm looking forward to the Agatha spinoff.
Bruh same! I was just singing that the other day.
I know! It is one of the best and most catchy tv songs ever!
She was my favourite character on the show. I knew she was there for a reason but wasn't expecting that plot twist at all
Damn jujubee I ain't even realize it's been three years that shit is crazy like that's a mad long ass time you feel me like hella things have happened like mad stuff in the world and also in the fictional world but damn yo time really been done flew like a bird in the sky like mad of it passed like a kid crossing the street like it ran out like my daddy did to my mom it's been so long shaqs dick be looking small next to it like that's so crazy they tryna put it in the Oval office like damn cocomelon that is some scary shit like Annabelle reverse cowgirling leather face like shit u know what I'm saying you feel me dog? That's that shit that I'm just saying because it do be like that you feeling what I'm shpeelin gimben gop? U gonna be knowing you know what I'm saying I know you so booty slanger that's what's up fam
I love the song. Very catchy.
However, when she gets to "And I killed Sparky too" and cackles, I immediately thought "Well... Time to get Baba Yaga on the phone."
George being John Doe still messes me up. Grey's really didn't hold back with that one.
I was bawling my eyes out when the elevator door opened.
I liked that story line better when ER did it first
I pretty much stop watching the show from that point. It was such a slap on the face. That and the fact that they start using the flashbacks to hint future deaths in the series 🤨
@@wendeboyd503 when did ER do THIS storyline? Or are you referring to the whole show?
@@lonellfletcher Gant was a med student under Benton. Carter knew he was struggling having trouble with Benton but blew him off. They got a mangled body of a guy who jumped in front of the L train and when they tried paging Gant they realized it was him
The identity of the bent neck lady damned near ended me.
Same! One of my friends guessed it, but I hadn't and was floored.
I never had my jaw hit the floor like it did in that scene.
FAAACTS!!!
That was the best mind blowing concept in a horror show !!
I haven’t even gotten to that part and I already KNOW what show you’re talking about. I couldn’t even hide behind a pillow it all happened so fast. I never saw it coming.
Glad AHS got a mention. When Tate reveals he knew Violet was dead, that reveals that he knew HE was dead, meaning he has had so much more awareness and control over his actions throughout the season than anyone was lead to believe. Man that season of AHS was good.
It was the best one
Still the best season of the series
The slow reveal that Tate was not just some off-beat, mentally ill teen and was a straight up monster? Life-changing
I think this one was more expected, but Chuck being God on "Supernatural" was a big plot twist....actually, I think the end of season 14, when we find out that he was controlling everything, every outcome the boys ever had, and that there were multiple universes with different Sams and Deans
Yes!! I totally agree with you on this one. I actually never saw that plot twist coming when I 1st watched that season lol
yeahh it changed the meaning of 14 seasons!
Honestly, I think I was both shocked and knew at the same time if that makes sense. I always thought there was more to it than him being just a prophet. It's been a while so I can't remember if any of his books told the future or just what was happening. To me, it was like he was writing the story in real time. So I think I was shocked but not surprised he was God. What did shock me was that he was evil. Chuck seemed like an irritable, but good dude.
@@Ghostfriend7100 He was a prophet, but he died at the end of season 4 maybe? And after that he said he got resurrected by God along with castiel, but he probably was God from that moment.
@@Lex77755 No, Chuck tricked every one to think he was a prophet. Don't forget that he could alter reality in anyway he wanted. He passing out as a prophet was just that thing when the author inserts themself in their own story. Chuck always considered himself a writer and every universe he created his own stories. Whenever one would fail him or bore him, he would just move on to the next project. The thing with the Winchesters is that they constantly surprised him and kept him entertained. He even tried to test what would happen if they had made different choices in life and the result would always disappoint him, being why he got so fixated on the brothers.
Bent neck lady was absolutely shocking and so so good
In Once Upon A Time, one of the biggest twist was Rumple's son Baelfire being the father of Henry. Whe Emma finds him and connects the dot… OMG
And then Peter Pan is Rumple’s dad?!?! Crazy
@@amadarobles6415Let's not even mention the "Hook killed Charming's dad", that one hit hard after all their bonding!
Omg I loved that plot twist and also when they revealed who Rumple’s father is. I was like 😮
How about the fact that Zelena was Regina's older half-sister? And that she was trying to go back in time in order to prevent Cora from giving her up...
Rita’s death in Dexter gets me every time. 😢 i stopped watching for like 3 days because i could not continue lol
That season was so good! I think it was the best one. The voice of trinity saying "Hello Dexter Morgan" stays in my head since i saw that show.
Several reveals on Dark were phenomenally mind-boggling, especially Mikkel being Michael and Elisabeth being her own grandmother.
This is my fave show ever! Loved the plot twist.
my favorite has always been Zack Addy (bones) being the Gormogons apprentice!! made me sooooo sad
I'll never forgive the writers for that one. Messed me up!!! Didn't see it coming. I loved Zack...
Oh man same
That wasn't just a plot twist, that was just heartbreaking
@@nastassjaloots4717 100%! Zack was one of my favorites and they did him so dirty.
And second twist, final season he admitted he didn't actually kill but he confessed because he assumed he would if he had been ordered to
The "we have to go back!" plot twist changed not only Lost, but whole television back then. Masterpiece! ❤
Shows listed but without the spoilers:
10. The Good Place
9. Revenge
8. Squid Games
7. WandaVision
6. Yellowjackets
5. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
4. Mr. Robot
3. Battlestar Galactica
2. Grey’s Anatomy
Runners Up - And Just Like That, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Haunting of Hill House, American Horror Story, & Westworld
1. Lost
The only problem is, knowing there's a twist in a show could give it away, depending on what it is.
I definitely recommend watching the Good Place to anyone reading this.
@@sarahberkner if that’s the way a person feels then these videos are definitely not for them lol. I’m just trying to help out the people who want to know some info but not all of it.
I was going to fight if Lost wasn't on here 😂😂 I'm on Battlestar Galactica
Thank you! It's madness to list the twists and not the shows in the chapter headings. Sure, knowing a show has a twist could be a spoiler, but I obviously understood that by clicking on the video. I legit just wanted to see what the shows were before/without watching the details. Appreciate your efforts :)
Thank you! I'll never understand why they don't say WHICH shows will be spoiled.
One of my favourite jaw dropping plot twists is from OUAT. When Zelena is revealed to have faked her death. We learn that she went back in time killed Marian and then returned to the present day pretending to be her and got pregnant while pretending to be her.
YESSS OUAT IS AMAZING
ooh.. 😮 forgot about that
I think the biggest plot twist of the series is that Petar Pan is Rumple's father. That episode had me so shocked
@@gabrielajames629 omg me too! Best plot twist/ season!
Wow, I totally forgot about that one big of twist! Zelena messed up with Regina's life with that one. Not just she was able to have Robin impregnate her and pretend to have the happy life that Regina should have had with him, she also managed to strike a deal with Rumple to prevent him from harming her.
Can't believe The Good Place was 10th, but at least it was in the list
Agreed! That was the best season end I have ever seen!
I haven't watched Grey's Anatomy, but I have watched ER. And the twist with unrecognizably injured colleague is from ER, which definitely was released first. Omar Epps played the doctor who died
not quite the same though, with Gant you find out immediately after he’s in the hospital that it’s him. there’s only about 20 seconds before they try to page Gant and they realize it’s him. in greys the character is in a multi-episode arc before they realize that it’s george
Yep it's the same concept. They changed a few things but you cared about that character and I thought...its the ER story!
Doctor Who! The reveal about Melody Pond in “A Good Man Goes To War” was a huge one!
Yes it doesn’t matter how many times I rewatch the melody pond plot lines I still am left with goosebumps
Yup!!!!!
The only water in the forest is the river. 🥰
I don't know. To me it just made a character and relationship that I hate, into a character and creepy relationship that I hate.
Come on! How can you not have How to Get Away with Murder on the list? There were so many season-changing twists in that show - (SPOILER ALERT) -
1) Annalise knew about Sam's murder all along and helped Wes hide it
2) Annalise knew Wes from the past and was the reason behind his mom's murder
Or Wes dying
Or the incest
Or the # of kids Sam had
Or the FBI framing Annalise
That show had all kinds of twists
Where is the How To Get Away With Murder season 1 winter finale? That ending when we learn that Annalise knew about her husband’s murder was jaw dropping and one of the craziest moments in tv history according to me
"I'm sorry"
"I'm not"
While Spike getting a soul was a HUGE twist, I feel like Spike falling in love with Buffy was a bigger deal. It changed the course of a good chunk of the series, not just a season.
I agree. I loved Spike. I was thrilled when he became a series regular (thanks to SMG), but I became a Spuffy supporter right after Something Blue aired.
@@briannastultz1468 OMG yes. Such a fun episode to plant that seed.
Very true! Finding that out over the span of S4 was great.
@@briannastultz1468ooh.. me too 😊
See I was an Angel shipper growing up as this show aired. Then rewatching as an adult, 100% team Spike. Angel was literally only good because he was tricked/forced into having his soul back. The second it was gone, he was pure evil. Spike, even without a soul, still cared. He took care of Drusilla and way before his soul, started to be there for Buffy. Even after the chip malfunctioned/was gone, he still was there. He literally took care of/protected Dawn after Buffy's deaths/pre-soul. And he honestly, didn't even need his soul, he just wanted it for Buffy. He was already a good guy by his own right at that point.
“A very much alive Il-Nam on his deathbed “😂
GRANT WARD’S BETRAYAL WAS LITERALLY THE POSTER CHILD OF THIS LIST
I don’t know, Skye’s real name is a good contender.
@@KireaPhillips_superj0kaig but I saw that as more of a cool new piece of lore/fact rather than a shocking plot twist that changed the show forever
Truth!
I was happy. I'd never liked him, so at least I had a reason to hate him
There was a plot twist in season 4 that also changed the whole season (it was incredible, my jaw just dropped during the whole thing), and that’s why I think AOS should’ve been higher on the list lol
Game of Thrones. Beheding Ned Stark, the Red Wedding, Hold the Door.
I remember being shocked when Taissa's sleepwalking was revealed. Her poor son and wife will definitely need tons of therapy.
So wait her son didn’t delete the dog?
@@miaya.micronis, Taissa did it. She killed the dog and put its head & heart on the shrine.
I was watching for the first time with my best friend, it was her second time watching that episode.
“Oh my GOD THE WOMAN IN THE TREE IS TAISSA!”
“Wait, WHAT?! GOBACKGOBACKGOBACK.”
One of my favourite shows, I’m really enjoying the Blair Witch meets Lord of the Flies vibes. I’m counting down the days until season 3 😭
When Love turned out to be a killer too in the Netflix show You
Spike gets a soul changed my entire youth!!!!! I was like 16 and this was EVERYTHING
I’d say on Moesha Frank admitting he was Dorian’s father instead of his uncle cause of an afair with Mo’s mom bud yet he was a complete hypocrite blaming Mo for anything and everything
100% agree with this one here!! The ppl at mojo probably never even watched an episode of Moesha before 😭😭
They did.
Check out "top 10 unanswered questions about shows that were cancelled too soon"
Ugh Frank was acting so entitled about his kids' forgiveness. Just FTG. 🫤
Man, you all keep ignoring the brilliance of The X-Files. The perfect example for this list: Gillian Anderson's real-life pregnancy in Season 2 not only completely changed the season, but it changed the entire show in multiple ways for the rest of its run.
I know 24 is not well-known, but in the end of season 1 when it's revealed that Nina was the mole, oh Lord
Right?! Especially as Jack had already eliminated her as a suspect. That was a huge twist we disn't see coming for sure
Wait, 24 is not well known? Wasn't that show massive?
Regardless, I agree it was a great twist. Even though on paper it wouldn't seem particularly shocking, there was just something about how both Nina and her relationship with Jack Bauer was characterized that made it suprising.
Ooooof. That show always had crazy twists, but the original season 1 with that plus the double whammy about his wife Terry!! 😢😮 Dang
Buffy and Spike will forever be a game changer in that series ❤
The first thing I ever seen Kathryn Hahn in was Crossing Jordan. I've been a huge fan of hers ever since. And she will always play one of 2 roles. Someone who is quirky/nerdy and/or someone who is integral to the plot of the entire series.
Me too. She was so sweet in that.
Ward being an Hydra agent is only being a honorable mention? I still haven't been able to recover from that emotional blow
This and Fitz's 'Evil Doctor' all being just Fitz really messed me up as well.
Severance's plot twists were some of the most unexpected i've seen in a while
The fallout of George’s death where the girl he saved became obsessed with him was…interesting!
The death of Prue on Charmed at the end of season 3.
The Killing Season 1 finale with the car trunk, still gets me
I’m honestly shocked that the whole “Cordelia was possessed by Jasmine all along” plot twist from season 4 of “Angel” wasn’t on this list. It was a plot twist that I have a LOT of feelings about (none of them good), but it seemed to more drastically change the tone and the course of that entire season than much of what’s on this list.
It's been A LONG time since I've seen angel and the only thing I still remember is Cordelia falling in love with a guy she had raised as her son 😬
@@ashicecream OMG.. I deleted that from my memory 😅 why'd you have to remind me 😂😂
@elmayberry69 glad to be of service 😂 now I'm off to wreck someone else's day 🦸🏽♀️
@@ashicecream boo you.. booo 😅😂😂

Fringe isn't on here somewhere?
Shameless: when Frank called CPS on his own kids while drunk
Revenge was so slept on! The premise was brilliant and the first season was perfect. It went a bit off the rails in S3 but it ended on a high note with the the back to basics approach of S4! And Victoria Grayson’s one-liners! Ugh that show was so good! 🥲
The third season of The Good Place also has at least two twists that shift the direction you anticipate that the season will settle on.
I always loved that Spike went and purposely got a soul because he loved Buffy. To me, that made him so much better for her than Angel, who had to be cursed with a soul and later recursed.
I just wish they had left out the whole Spike attempts to rape Buffy thing, and had him have done it for a completely different reason.
OMG I couldn’t agree more! I read somewhere that the actors weren’t fans of that scene and struggled to film it.
This! Kid me was team Angel but adult me, on rewaches, is 100% Spike. He only got the soul because he thought it would make it easier for Buffy. He was already a good guy by that time. He automatically took care of and protected Dawn the minute Buffy died, pre-soul. Spike was always protective of Drusilla too. I think he was always good, he just chose who he was good to. Angel HAS to be cursed to be good, the real him is pure evil. It took adult me to see through the Illusion of Angel. His guilt, remorse, heroism, etc. is a "lie."
Dark Matter (2015-2017) When Ryo Tetsuda/Ishida Turned heel when returning to his empire In his home planet of Ziron he was one of my favorite characters
I called Spike getting his soul back in the original airplay. My family all thought he was getting the chip out but I KNEW he was getting his soul.
The Good Wife season 5 when Will was shot in court. It really changed everything
YES! YES! YES! I cried my heart out.
I was so shocked and still till this day wondered how they kept that under wraps.
this
"The Lannisters sends their regards".
- A Good Man
For me, one of them is learning that Harrison Wells in The Flash was actually Eobard Thawne also known as reverse flash. Also that he was the one that killed Barry’s mother.
That was a good one. It definitely got me.
"24" Season 5: President Charles Logan being the man behind the conspiracy surrounding former President Palmer's death. That was a jaw-dropping twist NO ONE saw coming...
Nina being the mole too. She was the one who killed Jack's wife
I still don't know how I feel about the David Clarke twist but it has been a while since I watched it. Also knew the flash forward from Lost had to be number 1 my jaw was on the floor when it happened,
The good place twist was shocking and all round a what the what moment
It's probably a bit too old for modern audiences, but St. Elsewhere dropped "none of it was real" in the final scene of the final episode hack in 1988.
I was a kid then and even I asked "what the hell was that?"
That lost twist messed me up for weeks. I’d be walking around work and all of a sudden stop and go. They really got off the island? That was one of the biggest twists. It was awesome, but it really messed me up.
Definitely Wayward Pines, that twist was mindbending, even rewatching it was impossible to find the clues!
George 007 O'Malley reveal was done brilliantly. The way george was diminished that whole season and even his exit to go home early in the episode....
Awe poor Spike. I always liked him in the show
I feel like most of the honorable mentions were much more shocking/plot changing twists than like...idk...Taissa sleepwalking lol. I don't think her sleepwalking is really a "twist" it's just a plot device.
Bernard as a host was obvious from the beginning. No one was surprised, the surprise was Ed Harris.
Me throughout that entire episode: Okay, that augmentation of the Paint it Black theme is really interesting. They’re clearly tying the stories together. I just can’t tell how.
Roommate: *won’t stop laughing.*
Ed Harris
Me: Oh my holy forking shirt!!!
Roommate: This is why I kept laughing at you speculating on the music.
The Ed Harris twist lost its shock value for me cause I was watching the new rockstars breakdowns and Eric Voss called that early haha
You missed out the River Song reveal from Doctor Who.
Yes! That’s one I was hoping to see on the list.
George’s death really hits the most.
Mellie revealed as November in Dollhouse or that the entire Dollhouse was just an experiment so they can master how to transfer one's consciousness to another being rendering themselves immortal.
SHIELD should be in top 5... that made the whole show so much much better
I loved Spike and Buffy they were the best with his Koolaid ass mouth 😂😂😂that was the funniest burn ever
Ward being a bad guy was one of the best heel turns ever
David being alive was stupid. It was the jump the shark moment for me. The show started so well and I felt went off the rails to keep the show going. I think it would be shorter seasons now and be less fluff.
the most shocking twist from AOS was when Coulson killed Ward in the alien planet where they went to resque Simmons.
I felt so betrayed by that Squid Game twist.
Why is nobody talking about the school shooting on One Tree Hill? One of the biggest plot twists of all time
I would say the shooting episode from Glee. That was a twist!
“We HAVE TO GO BACK” is legendary
amazing list... Still can't believe you didn't include WESTWORLD and how William is both the hero and the villain to Dolores.
That scene literally had me fall in love with Evan Peters. When he said "You took so many" I cried right alongside him, it was so freaking sad....
Yeah he was genius in those early seasons. They really abused him on ahs. Straight up wrung him out like a dish sponge 🧽 🙁
@@didimunoz24 Oh Wow, I did not know that, 😠
@@JerzCe73 what I mean is that they gave him no breaks. They knew how amazing and talented he was and they hit him with one disturbing villain after another. It was way too much for him. After Dahmer he was just spent.
@@didimunoz24 See that makes sense, season after season he gave over 110% to those characters I couldn't imagine what it's probably like for him and his family afterward. It's hard I am guessing for him to get back to himself....Thanks for sharing that.
@@JerzCe73 exactly
Ty very much for giving flowers to so many of my all time favorite shows in this list 🥺🥺🥺❤ Lost on top 😭😍😍🥰🤧💘
Looks like I have some new shows to watch!
Frank and bonnie being brother and sister in how to get away with murder
Does anyone else remember when tv shows were written like screenplays and not music videos or perfume commercials?
Idk, out of the shows mentioned here I liked The Good Place. Also Loki was really good and I don't even like the Avengers or superheros normally.
There are good and bad shows still on now. You don't have to watch the bad ones even if they're popular. If the screenplay approach is your thing, I highly recommend Severance.
Revenge was the worst. The show runners spent forever saying they weren’t going to bring David Clarke back only to take a good show to 1983 soap opera territory. TV writers are so damned predictable.
Agents of shield should be on here
It was a honorable mention which I feel was unfair
@@jojogarlin8369oh it was but true
For BSG, I'd say the final 5 was the twist that changed the course of the rest of the show, rather than a twist in the final episode. Thats probably just me though.
Revenge was SUCH AN AMAZING show full of twists and turns
Not How to get away with Murder plot twist ? That's crazy
„We have to goback“ is the best plot twist in television history
Hold up. The honorable mentions are honestly better than a lot of the ones in the list!
"That's OK, I die all the time." - Russian Doll I literally screamed and jumped off the couch yelling WHAT?! WHAT?!
Grey's Anatomy's "John Doe" moment just seems like a rehash of a moment from ER where Omar Epps, a doctor who's treated very badly by Dr. Benton, ends up tossing himself infront of a train; surprise, surprise, he ends up unrecognizable on the table and they only realize it when they page his beeper.
I know E.R. did it first, but I think Grey's did it better. They drew up the drama and bonding with the mystery patient before the twist. Meanwhile E.R.'s reveal was rushed and a bit lackluster. Dude's death being a suicide was not much of a surprise given Benton's treatment of him.
How could you not include Mona was A in Pretty Little Liars. That was a huge reveal
Moesha season 5: Dorian is revealed to be Frank’s son.
Some would say it jumped the shark.
If there was any show messed up by a plot twist it was Dawn Summers in Buffy. The show went down a path it couldn't recover from.
It didn't need to 'recover' from anything. Buffy ended because SMG was done. Not cancelled, just ended.
Couldn’t recover from? 5 6 and 7 were the best seasons, the ones with real emotional grit. Your comment is baffling, truly.
Eh… I really don’t think Spike getting a soul was that shocking
Aw man, I'm surprised no mention of who the Killer was on Twin Peaks.
Talk about a twist, not to mention the revalation that we've been watching the killer go about the town the entire time.
Well, yes but no. If you watched carefully, you know the real killer wasn't Leland.
I loved Revenge, in Grey's Anatomy when isn't a main character getting axed or leaving(actors/actresses do want to leave, still miss Christina Yang), wish Westworld had continued.
I’m a simple woman. I see my girl Taissa, I click
Behind Her Eyes - that reveal had my jaw on the floor
Oh time to rewatch revenge it’s such a “this is so so bad and that makes it so good” we quote twists basically in my friends group.
“Alive and well.” Um. Alive, yes. Well, not so much. 😂
One of the best plot twists I've ever seen was in "How to get away with murder"... 😱
Frank being the incestuous result of the relationship between Sam and his sister Hannah, revealed at the end of the series, I honestly just don't have the words to describe the disgusting shock it was... 😨 (but that explained a lot)
Four years later, still one of my favorite series ! 💙
My dad lost his mind at the end of Squid Games 😂 the fact he 1. Watched it 2. Liked it and 3. Was so invested that he talked about that twist for ages still makes me laugh
Ned Stark's death
Came here looking for Mr Robot and the Good Place👍
You missed when in Wednesday Marylin Thornhill reveals herself as Laurel Gates, but, it was a nice top anyways. Happy monday afternoon, Jen. Take care and God bless you, greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Thornhill being Laurel Gates was so telegraphed that even I saw it coming, and I almost never see plot twists coming.
@@mandolo100 Well, to me it was a plot twist, cause . like i said she disguised herself with a fake name
What about The Pink Teddy bear and Plane Crash from Breaking Bad?
