Did you hear me screaming at the screen to CLEAN THE DASHBOARD!!!!! lol Editing as I watch.. LOVE the color. Cant wait for the interior and the LOTUS!!! My favorite automotive channel on youtube!
Yasssss!! It's like we're back in the Soup rainy season! After the summer drought we now have a VERY welcome return of the camper - and what a return! It seems like just a couple of episodes ago it was just a bare skeleton, and now the exterior is (99%?) done, and it's on to the interior - what fabulous progress! Congratulations George, I'm so excited to see what comes next!
Watched this episode on the commute home in the early hours with a random stranger on a London train that I have done my best to convert to soup life. Love it George- keep up the good work. Every subscriber counts !
Like the color and great to see big progress in this video that must really have been great feeling. There were some very funky flute happening in the score this time 🙂
I had a 1999 2000 one of these back in the day doing courier work, brings back a bit of memories looking at your one being rebuilt you done a magnificent job with it
Yo Soup ! Happy to be seeing you before Christmas ! If I don’t see you before New Years Eve , I’ll be a bit sad but wishing you well and hope to see much more of you in 2023 🎉
Congrats on getting it painted! No easy job with something so large. Love the colour. I'm a big fan of greys and browns and think they still have a place on the modern roads! As someone who was a longnhaul truck driver for years, I can say that the romanticised versions of van life you see on intagram are a facade of the daily struggle to get your pants on, but since it shit hot right now, good work!
The cinematography is astounding! I can only start to imagine how much extra work it takes to film this beyond the amazing amount of work to do the restoration!
George me lad, that's the finest Sprinter in the land. Can't wait to see what happens next! Hope you're having as much fun doing it as we are watching it.
Intelligent colour selection for discreet use as a camper and alpine glass will transform interior ambience with light. W124/w126 seats would be a nice upgrade over the sprinter if you can make them fit 27:54 glass sunroof tilted up gang
Yet again George you've done something amazing, what a fantastic condition that van is now, i wonder how many 20 year old Merc Sprinters are still running around! Also proving again you are the guru for applying body seam sealant, having learnt from the master my old defender no longer leaks in the rain, well not as much as it did :)
Been following for years, and every new video never fails to inspire me. You make the unachievable seem achievable. You turn the big problems into small excuses and what I've learned is that they don't matter, as long as you keep going back, keep stuck in. All else will prevail. Kudos to you.
Looks great George. All that work and you didn’t clean up the fittings, surprised with your drive for perfection you could cope with that! Get some ceramic coating on the black parts and then it just needs a wet sand, polish and ceramic coat all over!!!
I think that I've already seen the glass guy somewhere else on TH-cam. He's awesome, an absolute pro. :) Btw, it's a great build. Can't wait to see the ultimate surf-wagon finished.
Nice work. Perfect camo color for an aventure into the bush. A 15000 pounds front winch, the right tires and you could almost go anywhere. Thanks for the share.
George, It looks a great after all that work you have put into it you need a result like this to boost your spirts and knowing all that prep work is behind you now has to make you very happy, Looking forward to the rest of the build and hopefully you will get a chance to come out to Austria in 2023. I guess when it‘s finished a tour around Europe wouldn't be a bad idea. It would at least give you respite for a few weeks lol. Cheers Dave
The van is looking really really good. Great work! 😃 Boiled linseed oil will make the old plastics look a lot newer. Test it on a hidden section just in case you don't like how it will look.
I've used linseed oil and turpentine mixed together and brushed on, then wipe the excess off and it looks like new for months. Keep any leftovers in a jam jar with the lid tight to stop it stinking out the shed and evaporating 🤗
@@terryatkinson899 also keep rugs out of that jar. Im not 100% if that was linseed oil but quite a few carpenteries burned out because of rugs left in some finish glass. Some are really flammable, in fact even when its just standing in sunlight. I guess i dont have to point out what would happen in a car lol
WD40 on a rag works well too. Most oils will. I even heard of someone smearing peanut butter on plastics then washing it off because he misheard peanut oil, and it also worked.
Nice van, I'm looking for a long sprinter for next year, I already have a W210 mercedes with the Om611 engine i've had it 15 years and woudn't part with it for the world. Thanks for making the videos your hard work is noticed and much appreciated .
No doubt they call that colour “mocha” or some other coffee inspired name, but really it is “nappy brown” 😜 Well done, George, on the job and the will to try it out.
THE best and most entertaining stop-motion on TH-cam.
Cool Beans dude....what a great job you have done to get that o'l girl looking beautiful again!
Wife and kids away for the weekend….steak dinner and a 10 year old Irish wiskey …. and this brilliant video from Soup. Life is good 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Did you hear me screaming at the screen to CLEAN THE DASHBOARD!!!!! lol Editing as I watch.. LOVE the color. Cant wait for the interior and the LOTUS!!! My favorite automotive channel on youtube!
You’ve turned auto builds into an art form. Watching the stop motion is like ASMR for the eyes. Brilliant!!
And good music!
The stop start reminds me of Tony Harts stuff when I was a kid.
Just in case you didn’t know. You are an inspiration to all the people that don’t take the step forward to actually doing things. Thanks.

Your expertise is in film making. Love the color of the van.

I Always have to tell myself During the summer ''Be patient wait for winter, Then I can have some soup'' Best of luck.
It's impossible for me to comprehend the time, skill and patience that went into this.
Two videos in 2 weeks? It truly is a Christmas to remember!
You went for the UPS look, Great video.
9:23 what a great cover!! Who doesn’t love a good brass ensemble.
A box of Quality Street and a new Soup video - perfect! Thank you George, and happy Christmas!
Happy Christmas, Carlton!
Like the color and great to see big progress in this video that must really have been great feeling. There were some very funky flute happening in the score this time 🙂
The score was excellent this time around, although it’s always very good………
Classic, er, Soup Classic! The van’s coming on very nicely!
I haven’t even finished the film, but I must say that each chapter from this series is just a masterpiece !
Seemed like the first 12 minutes have a different feel than the rest of the series. All good. Thanks for the exterior details.
I had a 1999 2000 one of these back in the day doing courier work, brings back a bit of memories looking at your one being rebuilt you done a magnificent job with it
love the masking tape method for neat sealant application!
Another massive lump of much needed motivation.
Get some wurth bumper dye on the bumpers, will make them nice and black! Great build, awesome channel!
& that Ladies & Gentlemen, is a genius at work...
Good man yerself Soup, I mean George. Keep the vids coming thick and fast, tis the ticket to TH-cam success!

Awesome as always and love the t-shirt 🤙.
Tony is a legend, he is the only man I will use for glass 👌
knew you'd spot it 🤙🏼
The cinematography is astounding! I can only start to imagine how much extra work it takes to film this beyond the amazing amount of work to do the restoration!
AWESOME to see the progress in your special video way!
Thanks for Wisconsin USA!
Jeez, that was bloody brilliant !Thanks,George.
George me lad, that's the finest Sprinter in the land. Can't wait to see what happens next! Hope you're having as much fun doing it as we are watching it.
Looking great, this is the only bumper dye that I have ever found that works, and is easy and satisfying to use: Würth Plastic Dye Plast PT 75ml
Keep going George.....really enjoy watching your videos. Taking on a van that size is a huge task. very rewarding seeing it come together
Intelligent colour selection for discreet use as a camper and alpine glass will transform interior ambience with light.
W124/w126 seats would be a nice upgrade over the sprinter if you can make them fit
27:54 glass sunroof tilted up gang
Yeah. So satisfying. Looking forward to some more vintage wedge content
Coming soon!

Epic surfshack on wheels, George. That'll take you and friends to distant lands in style!
Been following for years, and every new video never fails to inspire me. You make the unachievable seem achievable. You turn the big problems into small excuses and what I've learned is that they don't matter, as long as you keep going back, keep stuck in. All else will prevail. Kudos to you.
Here is the consecration of a long serie. So happy for you! After all this rust it must be solo relaxing to see it finished.
That was it for mine 😜
Great footage and music....thumbs up !
You were being missed 😁
Thanks for doing this for us.
I will watch it later in the night - full screen 👍👍👍
So finally on the road....amazing transformation
You've outdone yourself on the editing for this one. Also I LOVE THE BROWN!!!!
Looks great George. All that work and you didn’t clean up the fittings, surprised with your drive for perfection you could cope with that! Get some ceramic coating on the black parts and then it just needs a wet sand, polish and ceramic coat all over!!!
The glass guy really good it’s an art from 😀
I think that I've already seen the glass guy somewhere else on TH-cam. He's awesome, an absolute pro. :) Btw, it's a great build. Can't wait to see the ultimate surf-wagon finished.
I work for a Main Dealer and we have used Anthony quite a fair bit. He is A1 at his job!
Even George, who can do just about anything, knows the value of expert labour!!!
Here he replaces the screen on a Pagani m.th-cam.com/video/cfngMQVluvE/w-d-xo.html
The Paint looks good George, you did well mate 👍👍👍
It turned out much better than I expected, but as you'll see I didn't get away with it unscathed.
Nobodies perfect mate
Class job ...and loved the Sprinter to E220 parking transition ;)
Smooth as…
I was quite surprised (positively) to hear the same soundtracks I use for my videos. Good taste involved :d
Nice work.
Perfect camo color for an aventure into the bush.
A 15000 pounds front winch, the right tires and you could almost go anywhere.
Thanks for the share.
Thanks for the new video! I’m looking forward to seeing what other content you post! Always good to learn as much as you can!
George, It looks a great after all that work you have put into it you need a result like this to boost your spirts and knowing all that prep work is behind
you now has to make you very happy, Looking forward to the rest of the build and hopefully you will get a chance to come out to Austria in 2023.

Excellent video -- Thank you for sharing.
Seems like you are spoiling us with uploads so close together....no complaints
Another brilliant video George, and great to see such progress on the van. Putting everything back together is always both satisfying and motivating.
Love that colour, what did you ask for, prosthetic leg brown? Looks wicked can't wait for more!
🤣
That transition at 17:00 is fantastic! 🙂
These videos must take days! Thank you, George!

@@D3nn1s the rags I burn, the leftover linseed/turps mix is fine in a jar stored in a cool place til needed again.
That or warm them up with a heat gun, carefully..

Great as always George! Some cheap ceramic coating will bring your black plastics back to life if you want to do that 👍
Brilliant stuff. I liked the use of the blue and yellow masking tape, it may have been by accident but a nice touch.😊
Awesome !!! SO impressed with your persistence !!!!
Nice van, I'm looking for a long sprinter for next year, I already have a W210 mercedes with the Om611 engine i've had it 15 years and woudn't part with it for the world. Thanks for making the videos your hard work is noticed and much appreciated .
Today you have convinced me and I have become a patron. Thank you very much for what you do. A greeting from Spain.
Thank you, Piter!
very clean, very satisfying, now it really needs the plastics to get a bit of a shine and color back
Wow! What a lot of work on both the van and the video. Absolutely captivating to watch, well done!
I love you George. That’s all.
It must have been so satisfying putting on all those shiny new part's, give it a good going over with waxoyl to protect all your hard work
Nicely done! The Patreon behind-the-scenes videos are interesting, but it's the stop-motion that I love
Brilliant work as usual. Great video production, and sound design 👍🇦🇺
I ❤ your content. Unique and very personal.
after a long day of work, finally I got home, new episode from soup.... what could be better? Nice job George. all the respect

those corner windows turned out great, lot of work though but looks fantastic
Great video as always thank you very much really enjoyed it
well done man, looks great, the only thing I'd have done is hit the plastics with back To black before putting it on.
STUNNING
Fantastic, great attention to detail.
Well done fella, this is the best I've seen 👏
Always a joy to watch!
Beautiful! Didn’t expect an upload this soon…

Excellent work! You must be so pleased having all this work done. Can't wait for more
Good stuff George. Interesting colour choice...
GK, these videos just keep getting better. Thanks your an inspiration 🙏
You’re an absolute legend!
No doubt they call that colour “mocha” or some other coffee inspired name, but really it is “nappy brown” 😜
Well done, George, on the job and the will to try it out.
Interesting video Thank you very much for sharing your experiences with us. 🌹 🌹 🌹 🌹
Love the hardware upgrade; stainless button head bolts with washers where appropriate. Subtle but worth it
Damn good to see you back on form George. Keep up the great work. All the best mate
Cheers Ant, hope all's rosey :)
SERIOUSLY nice work!!
Nice work that young man.
Delightful and so relaxing to watch. You, sir, are a champion!
