Tbh Ramee doesn't get enough credit but man when Conan is around it feels like the whole PD vibe changes. Tbh I don't fault Cornwood for having a doomer mentality on what he can do because his path in the PD has been road blocked but at some point you have to look at the positives, make the best of it and try other things. Cornwood used to be a dumb fun cop and it felt like out of nowhere he started try harding. Most PD are bootlickers and treat NoPixel like a sim, not an RP server to HAVE FUN and be ENTERTAINING.
Ramee has years of experience RP-ing as a cop and went through most of the training back in 1.0 and 2.0. Esfand has barely any experience and skipped the academy in 3.0. Acornwood doesn't know his SOPs and wants to be Sheriff because of ego and narcissism. Conan when he tries is a capable scene lead and PD officer. The difference is night and day.

Conan is the key to changing the PD.. He involves everyone, coordinates chases better, doesn't try hard to get an arrest, he's literally showing them how they can use their current resources to achieve an arrest, and is having the time of his life in humour at the same time.. It seems that in some PD vods, that some PD members don't like Conan because he get's away with certain behaviour and they don't..

The way the PD in 3.0 worked was that the LSPD were serious with no funny business while the BCSO was all about joking around until it became time to be serious. Then you had the two state departments which were just legal cults.

Heh, called it months ago when I said Esfand is dogshit at RP and doesn't know how to separate RP from OOC. Cornwood is an emotional self-insert, and Esfand has main-character syndrome - if it's not all about him, i.e. Cornwood, then the pity party starts, and it's everyone else's fault. Glad to see people finally getting tired of his bullshit - on PD side especially. Bro needs to go back to WoW.

One thing that K says that people don't really seem to listen to is that the crims give back the energy they get. Watch most of the PD RP they patrol and respond to radar blips then get on their tablet. The system is setup to stifle organic RP for the PD, even when they have a literal captive person to RP with they often end up leaving them alone in a cell for 30 minutes or more while they "RP" with their tablets. Sometimes when I watch some of the PD it feels like a homework simulator.
Yeah I used to watch a lot of Cornwood and cop streams during 3.0 but since 4.0, it's felt pretty stale to watch. That's not on the players, just the way PD is set up with the quota system etc. It's gone from just having fun chatting with crims/giving out warnings for traffic stops, to making sure they hit their quota targets. Been watching more crim stuff recently due to this and especially Suarez's arc due to the amount of variety there is and have been loving it. Hope they get rid of the quota system and loosen some restrictions so PD can actually have fun and make people want to stick around on those characters

i've played different servers as PD and the worse part of the job is the paperwork. being PD is a full time job it's like i'm actually at work. PD need desk jockies that get a good pay and can be a civ job and you can have them submit reports so the cops that can get back on the street

When Esfand pitched the concept of the Sheriff's department to the City Council originally, I noticed that he completely failed to mention WHY the Sheriff needed to have the powers that the Sheriff generally has. He doesn't seem to understand he isn't just pitching to characters, he is pitching to some of the most veteran members of the server.
He really doesn't seem to understand that people are making asks of him, even if they are somewhat OOC. Like yeah, you have two of the most respected members of the community sitting in front of you in terms of Tessa and Kebun. You have to pitch them why you in particular would be fun to roleplay with as Sheriff. Its going to be a little OOC because they want to have a good time or at the minimum an interesting time. What are you going to do to make things more interesting, more fun, more profitable? These are, like it or not, your real life business partners because of your profession!

Thats a broader problem. and its the server's fault. the crims have no way to get body armor unless they steal it. they have to steal turbos cause only cornwood has them for some reason, the gun situation is getting better but before the blue print/ammunition jobs it was stale and stagnant. no one wanted to do anything.
and the turbos make police cars way better and that unbalances to a point a stolen car of the street cant get away on its own and they have to do a milion swaps / use bikes

So when Tessa stabbed Cornwood the cops should’ve apprehended the people running away, but they didn’t do that at all with K’s first charge. Just interesting that Cornwood can’t see the hypocrisy in these situations where the PD goes after CG both times even though they were on opposite sides of these situations

they have logistical problems because no one is prepping for crime or chases like if they want to set a road block they cant because everyone wants to be in the case instead of being a team and one or two cop casing and the other go to spikes or even stopping in an inesection and try to guide or slow the crims down for a pit on a long road or trying to spike.

I think it would be hilarious and entertaining if there was a PD heist crew, PD gang, PD getting paid to "not try so hard", just overall the things you would least expect to see the PD do.
