The water crisis in Flint, Michigan has led to many problems, including the closure of schools in the area. What are your thoughts on this ongoing issue?
Hair clogs plumbing. Use hair catchers to catch stray hair when you shower and perhaps even degreaser if you are using alot of hair products. You all look beautiful!
Flint is steady building all around but they have closed all the scools housing is sad because of the water and the economy..you still have kids that simply want to be kids..but the CITY HAS FAILED US AND ARE CHILDRE..THERE IS NO AFTER. SCHOOL PROGRAM ANYMORE KNOW GYM OPEN FOR THE KID'S TO HANG OUT LIKE TEAM CLUB..BUT YOU ???WHY SO MANY THINGS HAPPEN WHAT ARE KIDS TO DO..WE ARE PAYING TAXES BUT YOU CAN'T TELL LOOKING IN ARE neighborhoods..I THINK THIS WAS DESIGNED THIS WAY TO FAIL US SO WE WOULD MOVE AWAY..FIXING ONE SIDE OD FLINT AND THATS DOWNTOWN FLINT..ITS SAD.
its about money my friend... money for the city money for the state ... flint is controlled by greedy people who only care about lining there own pockets...all the way back to the days of mayor stanley . when GM pulled out of flint that was the start of what myself and other friends of mine who moved out of flint call the deep wound . and now with this water problem with no great end insight . that wound is bleeding out badly ..... i say to all who live in flint mi . GET OUT AS SOON as you can . if you get the chance may it be a job . family who can help ect just get out . its a dead city . dont get me wrong i grew up in flint went to carman-anisworth . met a great girl. moved out and from time to time i go back to see how bad it has become .
Flynts water problems are fairly simple, the city decided that river water was s cheaper option, and stopped adding Alum ( anti corrosion agent) and calcium carbonate ( pH buffer )...The much more acidic River water eroded the deposits on the inside of the water lines and released the yellowish/ brownish telltale colors.. Definitely not safe to drink, even after boiling, because of the lead pipes...
Safe to drink tell them to come their and drink it keep ur heads up don’t let people’s words get u down they don’t know the struggle of flint town and theirs no star that is better then the other their is struggles in every state keep ur heads up my fly city of flint mi
Here is an unpopular but realistic idea.....move. why would you stay in a place that is literally toxic to your health? This isn't something to pity its something to find ridiculous. I would be out of there the minute I found out the water was Poisoned. This is stupidity. And don't give me bs that they can't. They can blow money on a dumb dance but not their livelihood? Total BS.
Vereyan_Stormdragon27 Not everyone can just move. These people may not be able to afford moving, or finding a new place outside of flint. They don't just stick around because they can, they stick around because its their homes. They want to fight for flint to have safe drinking water, and just moving away will help no one as it just avoids the problem and doesn't address the fact that people should have the right to safe drinking water, in a first world country.
Im Saginaw i have family all over flint Detroit saginaw && dearborn and alot of cousins and some of uncles got sick from there snd it isnt get no better ill tell u tht but the water jokes need to stop
No, it’s just mostly black because when General Motors left, the African Americans were the only ones who couldn’t afford to move out and find new jobs, because of income inequality at the time. It’s been a high black population ever since

Another extraordinarily well executed piece by NatGeo. Thank you so much.
*This video was actually so well made!*
Thank you, Brucey! You can read more about Northwestern's final prom here: on.natgeo.com/2KFpimm
thats not what he meant. He's saying the editors and camera men did well...
How nice..no politics here, happy people, a wonderful change, love to see it.
Love you Flint! Detroiter here! ❤❤❤ We can only get better when we do better. We can't trust "them". We never could have.
God bless all of those beautiful students....🤴🏾👸🏾💓✝️
Fun fact: NBA Players Glen Rice & Morris Peterson both went here. My Uncle Amos who was an All American National Champion wrestler was a Wildcat too.
Terry Crews was from there too! Lived off of Lawndale in Civic Park area... Everyone cycled through the driving program at Northwestern
Love this video gave them a positive platform even when they still don't have clean water💛🌈💛
this video was heartwarming as well as informative. amazing editing and pacing.
We're glad you enjoyed watching! If you'd like to learn more, read on: on.natgeo.com/2KFpimm
This isn't right. The water is clearly not clean, yet they are saying that it is just to keep from having to pay for bottled water for the public..
You don't know what you're talking about... Only speak fact not fiction... The water is fine, tested constantly... You don't have a clue..
Steve DeGregorio but you do? You're lack of communication skills say otherwise

There is no law preventing anyone from installing a RO filter in their house.
If you can afford a cellphone, you can afford a RO filter...
TheGreen Jarret RO won't handle high concentrations of lead.
