I've watched this three times, but I still can't figure out how to summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon. What am I doing wrong?
Maybe your not using it properly. Have you tried summoning the Blue Eyes Toon Dragon, then placing the Blue Eyes on top of the card?

I think you need to sacrifice 3 monsters to summon it
they still summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon because it is from the best charecters in the game.

I spent my childhood collecting these cards, but I had nobody to play with (I was an only child at the time), so I never really bothered to learn how to play… feels good to finally know how to play the game now, and I have a younger brother to play with now!

ok lets be honest, 90 percent of people just collected the cards and didn't know how to play.
how to actually play ptcg:
1. get 2 tapu lele gx
2. get a yveltal ex
3. get a lugia ex
4. buy new friends because you don't have them anymore

+Micha Swen however, while you can use in game coins for packs, in order to make good decks, you still need a lot of money. you can make good decks without money, but it will take a long long time. luckily the VS Rewards you get for fighting human players are pretty good, and should help to build good decks.
right now there's a really easy to get Aromatesse card, which has a really good competitive value for fairy decks.
You can get it on IPad it amazing man like the best game I've ever played :D

I used to just collect the cards and nothing else like a lot of other people, but now, I actually want to learn how to play the game.
Now if I only had a person to play with.
And some a bit more stuff since I don't know if I have any counters and I want some more modern cards (specifically EX and lengendary cards).

Just here for nostalgia. I remember my first ever pack, I got a Marowak Break. From the moment on I went on to play both the actual, real life game and the online version. I remember my brothers and I competing against one another for bragging right. Good times, good times

i definitely could use this. I have never played the TCG, only VGC
the tcg is very fun and cards tend to rotate yearly so it's kept fresh (if you are playing legal format). the biggest drawback is the cost, a deck can cost twice as much as a game cart, that's the main reason i don't play anymore. its not as expensive as magic, so it's not bad. but you don't need to worry about breeding pokemon and move sets. playing tcgo might help.

@beansoldier I made an entire custom yugioh format and had a 40 person+ server of creators and playtesters in there, but I learned you can't really fix a game that's fundamentally broken via its content. I've gone more into tabletop games in general and have been working on quite literally a revolutionary ttrpg for the past couple of years. I have made some card games along the way and while they were fun I've kinda fallen out of that type of game due to the limited narrative flexibility and the fact that I've been having a lot of fun with fighting games.
@@beansoldier Games are a weird thing. I find it crazy how little some mediums of game design have been explored, and ttrpgs just kinda came out as the thing I could make the most progress for the medium in. There's a lot of cool card games afterall.

I'm actually a Yu-Gi-Oh fan but because it's so hard to get a Yu-Gi-Oh deck in my country nowadays (forget the genuine ones, even fake ones are hard) AND Pokémon TCG seems to be more popular and much more readily available, I'm considering to learn the game. It looks unique and fun, and maybe if I learn and give the game a try, I'll be an ardent fan of it. One thing I gotta give it to Pokémon TCG; its card design is hella neat, much better than the standard Yu-Gi-Oh's hard-to-count levels and text-ridden box.

This is the most confusing card game ever, since the age of 4 I used to always collected the cards because it was cool and never knew how to play or what each card is worth, over the years I lost all of the cards and when I got I little older I knew that the cards I had were worth hundreds of thousands dollars and I bought the packs for like 2-5 dollars and lost everything

Robin Sparkles the thing is u need to by the cards first then use the codes to get the cards online and there's thousands of cards but i ent got thousands of dollars for each of those cards.
rj20za you can play it for free too tbh, you can collect tokens and with those tokens you can buy booster packs and you can win booster packs with tournaments, battles, etc ;)

I've played Yugioh as a kid. It's a shame I missed out on this. It seems so much simpler and fun. And you don't have to read an entire essay just to keep the game going on properly

We need new official formats otherwise the game will die, of course except those rare players that like the hell it's becomed and that like to spend 1k $ for a meta deck just to watch Konami strike it the month later
Do not DRAW THE LEGENDARY cards. USE ENERGY TO USE POKEMON
The rules for my type of pokemon card game:
Rule 1: you must trade cards with each other if asked, but only common cards and uncommon cards are allowed to be traded with each other
Rule nr 2: you can only give away common cards or uncommon cards for free to someone who doesn't have enough money to buy their own cards
Rule nr 3: the Winner wins rare cards or uncommon cards, the losers lose their rare or uncommon cards
Rule nr 4: you do not call my card game "illegal" because I don't like that word, it's too overrated, quite harsh and too false to even be too true.
Rule nr 5: this card game can only be played for those who live in Sweden where I live
Rule nr 6: if someone finds it unfair during the game, then they can get the @%&* out of the card game and leave, I am not responsible for any mishaps
Snus, energy drinks, beer and snacks are also allowed to win or feast upon in this card game
It'll be like playing poker

I like having 15 Pokemon - 25 Trainer cards - 20 Energy cards.
Me and my friends used to play this in kindergarden. since we couldn't read the cards cause we didn't speak english, we'd just make up our own rules. We simply took a top card of each pile and threw them on a table. The card that looked the coolest would win, lol.
