Having a bushing style bearing is actually preferred for a turbo application as a roller bearing cannot contain crankcase pressures that are increased by boost. Also every car out there has a normal insert bushing for the crank. Roller bearing don't exist on cars for main bearings. Also it's the microscopic layer of oil on a bushing type bearing that is the bearing 😊 . I'm also curious what type of bearing you feel they should use? It's a pressurized oil system and needs tight clearances fpr proper oil pressure. That's why 2 stroke utilize roller bearings for the crank as they do not have a high pressure oil system. In my humble opinion
"That's why 2 stroke utilize roller bearings for the crank as they do not have a high pressure oil system." I was with you until there. A two stroke uses the crank case as an intake tract. When the piston comes down it decreases the size of the crank case, pushing air/fuel into the combustion chamber via ports in the cylinder walls. A common reason for a no start is the loss of seal, ie. not being able to pressurize the crank case. They use roller bearings yes, but having a crank case that won't hold pressure is not a result of that. Two strokes still need to be able to pressurize the crank case, roller bearings or not. While a 4 stroke will run with a leaky crank case, a two stroke won't even start.
Hello, I like your videos very much. Thank you. I have a CF 625 engine, but it is very difficult to shift gears. What should I do? Can you give me some advice?
I'm new to the CFMoto world and SxS so I found this video very informative. Thanks! I have been wanting to see what a V belt drive looked like so this video was a great help. It would be great if you could show the split case and explain how a wet and dry clutch differ and the advantages and disadvantages of each. I have a 2022 ZForce 800EX made in August 2022 and was told it has a dry clutch. My understanding is that engine was always a wet clutch until mid 2022 production. I have not found an explanation for the change.
If you're doing just a top end on one of these 1000cc engines from CF Moto, how do you keep the timing chains in place on the crank so is not to mess up the timing when you're putting it back together?. I have the CFMoto service manual. So I take it from your reply I need to plan to remove the covers on both sides for crank access to retime it when I go back together?
I've bought a CFMOTO zforce 800 ex engine as a spare engine for my zfore 800 ex UTV. It is supposed to have a broken drive shaft and would need to be rebuilt with new rod bearings and stuff (I guess). I have't picked it up yet but for 60 US dollars (yes SIXTY for an entire engine) I couldn't let it pass. Will pick it up myself in about 4 weeks time to reduce the risk for further damages. My plan was to pick parts from it if ever needed - but would it be possible to rebuild it to working condition? How much will I have to invest in parts? Would I be able to do it myself?
Is a engine that's had all the coolant and then some ran through it until it stalled worth rebuilding?or buy a used one for3k? My cousin's I think water pump seal went out and the rad it packed with oil and the engine drained coolant then milk shake after. It's a2020uforce 1000.
What is the name of the shaft that the primary clutch mounts to? My primary was stuck and I damaged that shat it when I pulled the clutch to put a rebuild kit on it. The shaft has a ding/gash in it and might be bent from wacking it with my 2 pound beater. Any information so I know what part I need to order if in needs replaced.

Hello old friend! I own a zforce 1000, 1st gen. Due to plain shaft bearing being worn, i had to crack open the engine! Replaced everything, put the engine back on, it starts, but it starts in only one piston, the one from the back of the. The front piston, from the cabin, blows unburnt fuel out of the exhaust, and i can feel a lot of gas smell. While pulling the spark plug out of the engine, i saw that it sparks only when the engine starts, then it stops. I have no error on the tester. I changed the spark plugs to each other, but the problem remains on that piston. I really don't know what can i do anymore...it got me out of my mind...
