This is brilliant, baskets are good sizes. Can fit whole medium chicken in each one. Cooks foods in sync so they finish at the same time even if temp and time is diffrent.

I was waiting for someone to get this new unit. I just got the single unit with the window and love it. However, I just don’t understand your fixation with the Instant’s having a mandatory preheat. You are not forced to preheat. It takes 3 min to get to 400. When preheat is done after 10 seconds or so it will just start the regular cooking. So, if you don’t want to preheat just put your food in right away and ignore the beep when it says to add food (adjust your cook time accordingly)
It depends whether the food contains flour/and or eggs. The instant heat from preheating allows those ingredients to do their thing and maintain their structure.
Just search youtube for ideas on what to cook in air fryers. When in doubt about timings, just do it in shorter increments so that you can catch it before it burns!

Thanks for demonstrating the uselessness of the the instapot dual basket compared to my ninja dual bask that I can cook a roast in and veggies of the other side and walk away and come back to a cooked meal! Fancy having a bloody pre heat function on sync cooking that you have to go back into the kitchen to "pre heat" then bloody add food! Meaning you have to stop whatever you're doing and walk back into the kitchen! Rather defeating the purpose of having it all finish at the same time! I was so excited about this with the light & window!

The Instant app that the company made is pretty useful. Doug spoke a bit about it but you can specify within the app which device you want the recipe for. In this case you can select the ‘instant vortex plus air fryer’ then it shows all the recipes for it.
I think most people wouldn't want the footprint on their counter to be any larger than this. Consequently, like the Ninja dual air fryer, the baskets are long and thin. One can always buy two fryers separately if they must have more square baskets...
Dual basket are awesome! Had the ninja for many years now. You cook a roast in one side potatoes in the other then I have third air fryer for more veg. Walk away and come back to a cooked meal...! If you use a single basket you have to say cook the salmon so long then stuff around walking back to the kitchen at a certain time (and that's provided you hear any beeps) then add rest of vegetables (for example) and reset for however much longer. This dual basket however not so great with the ridiculous pre heat function

Thanks for this! Wish I'd watched it before I bought it! Now it's too late to return cuz it was from the big A store on one of their specials. I agree about the size. Having the worst plastic smell that comes out of it when we use it. There are the little rubber pieces on the grates so I'm going to try using it without them. Did you have any smells that you recall?

Hi. I'm front England. I have a Ninja 7.6L, ( AF300UK). I can get a 1.2 - 1.4 kg Whole Chicken. Took 1hr 15mins to cook. Turned out succulent & tasty on the Airfryer mode. There is a slightly larger Ninja Dual Airfryer 9.6L. That takes a 2kg whole chicken. ( sorry I don't know the equivalent of kg or litres in ur country ).
The dual baskets design doesn’t give you the option of cooking something bigger than a 4 qt basket can hold. I’m waiting for one design that gives you the option of one 8 qt basket in addition to the dual 4 qt baskets. Air fryer oven may be an option but it’s harder to clean and in general doesn’t air fry as good as the basket air fryer.

I LOVE my Ninja. Used it a few minutes ago. Grant you the baskets are not see through. How do you feel the basket sizes compare ? Doesn’t sound like you’re really impressed with it. I’ve watched through to where you start to eat so I haven’t finished watching the video yet. Just wanted to write my thoughts down before I forgot. I don’t have to preheat my Ninja either as you well know as you did a demo on it as well. Also, I’ve not been able to find the ginger chicken wings at Sam’s anymore. *sad*. Maybe they’ll come out with it again one day. I’ll have to look Tyson up on the internet and write to them. Also, the Panda Bejing sauce was not at the Walmart I got the first bottle from. I checked another Walmart and even Publix supermarket. No go. I had to order it from Amazon. Apparently people flock to these stores after watching your videos and buy them out ! *grin*. OK, now do a Instapot dual vs Ninja Dual! I like the windows in Instapot but other than that, what's the difference?
Ninja has a bigger 10qt option with two 5qt baskets. It also goes up to 450 degrees vs 400 for the instant.

I buy instant pot appliances because they are made to last. Cheaper ones coating comes off.
