Hands down the BEST TH-cam video I've seen I'm quite some time. It's 2AM and I've been up watching this channel for over 7 straight hours while wishing I was in burbank CA and not Connecticut!
This was one of the most informative videos I have seen lately. I like that people value the long term relationships rather than trying to get over one on another. The hobby is really going places if we can embrace this type of culture.
Great video, Jay! Missed you by a week it looks like, but have loved this series. From the midwest and made my first trip to Burbank over the weekend. They were very fair on the card I sold them. Had a price in mind and I didn't even counter because I knew it was a fair offer. Of course used store credit and walked away with some great pieces. My buying strategy changed on day 2 when I saw all the fresh inventory they had already added that they didn't have the night before. Truly an amazing operation there and you covered it very well!
I got alot of michael Jordans cards from the 90s..stopped collecting and they've been sitting in storage for 20 years...trying to see what I can get for them
This is badass,I wish we had a place to sell my cards..but yes,in my business college classes. My professor would say, people run a their own company to make money not lose it. So expect to not always profit when you go to card stores. They are in the business of making money, what's the point of having a business when your losing money. Great to see how selling and buying cards work🔥#nicecontent
Quick question. I have some older sports cards but a lot of them are probably commons. Is there any interest in common cards such as to complete sets anymore? Want to get a good price for them but I do understand the commons. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
Had a bad experience with them bought cards on line that were listed nrmt.when they arrived they were all creased.when I sent them back I was told are cards are listed as nrmt and they wouldn’t do it again.problem with that is they were poor not nrmt.very negative towards a paying costumer
That Scottie ended up staying up and the card is still doing well at 450 last sale! This is very interesting looking at it in the future after him winning ROY
Hey I've been buying retail cards when ever I see them on the shelf because it's so scarce around we're I live in Southern California all the Wal-Marts stop stocking them because of flippers were starting fights... But would Burbank buy some of my hanger or blaster boxes I have stashed away?
Looking for advice? Getting back into the hobby but not looking to spend a crazy amount of money, what packs and boxes would you recommend for basketball and football?
nice store! I started collecting again last summer, have probably 4000-5000 cards now, many autos from NFL, MLB, UFC. Wish you all were in Louisville KY I would stop by. I just pulled a Frank Thomas auto #/50 .. its Topps Chrome Gold. My mother in law lives out there in Corona area I may stop in when I'm in town again
I mean if I’m at the point where I’m selling stuff for less than 70% comps wholesale I’d just list everything on eBay myself, take a few hours but it’s worth it
Although I agree with you as well, not everyone wants to go through that much “work”. Some people would rather sell in bulk or move those cards to “trade up” with store credit.
I think it’s worth it when trading up. I personally go to Burbank a lot and I’m constantly bringing in bulk stuff to trade into nicer cards. I’ll take the hit percentage wise in order to move a bunch of stuff I don’t want for a nice card with anywhere from 300-600
There’s another factor to consider. The customer selling at 60-70% of comps likely bought for less and is happy with a profit. As the market becomes more stagnant, people will probably be more inclined to sell themselves closer to comps because they would be losing at 60-70%. There’s a lot of people sitting on cards they bought for a fraction of today’s market precovid.
i have all the hockey cards bulk buy is available all the great s all the best brands and special s i got them all over 200 pounds worth , lol 80 to early 2000 raw and in great condition
Says they pay 70%, offers 95 on a 300 dollar item or says they can walk. Somebody correct me if that's not what we just watched. Why would anyone ever take that offer by the way? I must be missing something, but I know what the product is for sure he showed it.
