When I lost my job b/c covid I had all this free time so I started to learn to code for fun. Literally 4 months later and I have been learning non-stop since. Lol and now I'm dead-set on eventually making it a career. So cool to see that you have started (re)learning. I think you'll catch the code bug! keep up the great content as always!
I also totally second the importance of having boundaries online with showing relationships. It’s a hard line to draw but a very healthy one- I have always loved your videos for that reason!!
I think a lot about the diversity of nyc, especially as a minority. I would love to move somewhere quieter but I value being around people of different ethnicities so much.
I just recently moved back to clt this past month from nyc and I couldn't agree more with what you said about it being such a cool city!! Growing up in clt I just wanted to leave but now that I'm having the time to take a break from nyc I've been enjoying it a lot more. So many things to do here!
Natalie come back to NYC! I last minute changed my plans about moving out of the city and found an amazing deal for my apartment. The prices are very reasonable right now.
I totally think you should get a place in the heart of Charlotte, or in Austin/Dallas. I love to see other cities flourish, instead of the typical big cities.
I really need to set some time aside to watch the social dilemma! I have been hearing so many things about it. Also, I really admire your outlook on not sharing too much because I do agree that people start to feel entitled to having opinions about your life when they feel like they are seeing a lot already.
I know you were a little disappointed/ worried ab moving home for a bit, so it makes me so happy to hear that you’re finding joy in things like your morning routine/vlogging! 💛 ALSO I may be biased, but Texas is great haha, I’m from houston and will be moving to austin early next year!!!
Honestly the most successful balance of social media life and personal life I’ve seen on YT. You’re letting us watch some of your journey in such a tasteful way 💞
My in laws live in Charlotte, so for that reason Charlotte is a hard no to even visit. My husband (a New Yorker) & I used to live in the OBX . We live in Atlanta now and absolutely love it
its also definitely hard to go back to a small town from a big city because it seems like everyone has that "small town mentality" (which isn't a bad thing!) but the city is so unique and diverse and people are so different and it's hard to leave that.
I am glad you have that opinion about travel during COVID. I would love to travel but also know I wouldn't have any fun having to remember to take all the extra precautions.
Love all your weekly vlogs lately! edit: i watched the social dilemma too and learned so much, like the design architect that's made to be addicting to our phones and social media. it's crazy.
I sooo agree with you about the social dilemma film, but I do think it’s important to talk about it ON social media just like they said: “fight fire with fire”. Speaking about it on social platforms would eventually make people open their eyes and take actions. If more and more people would delete their Instagram accounts or fb accounts that is exactly what would make the impact :) Loved this video
Wondering if some of the TH-camrs got together and did a zoom vlog and talked about how they're getting through these past few months with covid and how it has changed their TH-cam channel? Just a random thought/idea. ♡ :)
I always think that if I were to ever vlog, viewers would absolutely get the wrong impression of my husband and our relationship because he’s extremely shy and introverted and can’t even be himself when I snap a picture of him, let alone a video
The Social Dilemma is eye opening for me, but for my I think I feel mixed after watching it. I got recommenced constantly by my brother and I then decided to watch it. There was parts that was great things and things I already knew. More things I knew.
When are you going to go into Uptown Charlotte and do some blogging around town. I live in Charlotte also and as you know it’s a great city. I have not seen you do that yet. Hope to see out and about around town.
i watched the social dilemma too and totally agree - not exactly new information, but how they presented the information and the way they put the perspective on it really changed my view on social media (immediately put a 10 min. daily time limit on insta)
regarding app time limits - I don't know if you could do this because of your job, but about 9 months ago I made my sister change my screen time password so I can't override my app time limits. I only allow myself 30 minutes for instagram + twitter combined which is very strict and it was horrible at first, but I've now learned that it's definitely enough time! if I knew the passcode I would just override it every time because I have terrible self control but making it so I actually cannot override them has completely changed my relationship with my phone and social media for the better
If you’re looking to move back to NYC, you should reach out to @Cash Jordan on TH-cam. He’s a real estate agent. He always shows apartments on his channels and has 32k subs.
Your parents’ house is GORGEOUS

Did you use code academy?
What language are you learning?
thank you for low-key reminding us how to set boundaries!!!!! we love you!!!
come to TEXAS!!!

I NEED TO. I randomly have such a urge to live in Texas lol

From what we see of the house, its beautiful!! Amazing that they designed it

Completely understand the no house tour. It is such an invasion of your families privacy! I wish more people understood that.
love her videos! She inspires us with our content!! ❤️❤️
Natalie come back to NYC! I last minute changed my plans about moving out of the city and found an amazing deal for my apartment. The prices are very reasonable right now.
She said she wouldn’t move back even with a good deal since the good deals will last a long time.
Also she will be home for the holiday season so there would be no point
I totally think you should get a place in the heart of Charlotte, or in Austin/Dallas. I love to see other cities flourish, instead of the typical big cities.
What a beautiful house...you are truly blessed!
