30:02 Junaidbhai on Modi: Glad you acknowledged his efforts to make India better place. As an Indian I can guarantee you, he was the first PM who spoke about Toilet needs on Independence Speech. When he was launching "Digital India" and opening bank account for poors, people were laughing at him including opposition. But due to his efforts only we were able to get UPI payment, which saved millions of lives during Covid both waves. Modi has shown how foresight a leader could be!

That youth part really hit home. She really explained everything so well. I have also been struggling with similar dilemmas. To my background, I graduated with a Gold Medal in Mechanical Engineering last year from UET, but have been unable to find any job - applied on multiple posts but never even got any call for an interview. I have only had one 4 weeks internship at a major FMCG company in Pakistan with only 4000 Rs/week as a stipend (my travel costed me more than this not to mention the accommodation and food charges). Right now, I'm in the middle of applying for the USA for a MS, and hopefully will settle there afterwards as well, and keep praying for the Pakistan from there. Junaid bhai, you motivated me a lot and helped me to think like a responsible citizen, thank you and pray for me.

38:50 This what Indian Start up CEOs did . The first wave of entrepreneurs worked in US tech firms and now own Billion dollar Companies and are giving back to the country. I believe our Indian student working/studying abroad are getting global exposure and are being polished and eventually when the countries environment (both social and economical) will become according to their expectation they will eventually come back and will enrich the atmosphere with their experience. As a country of a Billion we cannot provide dream job for everyone So people will leave but those handful minds when they will return will do miracles. Same thing can be done in Pakistan (But time is limited)

Yes the govt has done alot in the last 8 years to encourage safe sanitation and building toilets. But a tiny fraction of our rural population still has remnants of cultural hindrances in having a toilet in their home.
So yeah the govt might have made sure they have built toilets covering 99% of population, but many of those families didn't use them cause of the above reason. Hopefully, the problem will go away with some time.

I'm 17 and couldn't relate more to the 19 yo girl, always thought I was alone with this thought (That the 60% Youth is pure manjan and cope) as all my friends had the same mentality of leaving as soon as possible, which never set right with me as I've always had this weird sense of accountability/responsibility towards the nation and I would feel pathetic if I did nothing and just move somewhere else, my ancestors sacrificed a lot for me to be a part of this nation, I can't just quit. The formation of this very state is a clear example of what the people can achieve if they want to and hell we are the same people... those were our ancestors. What happened? when and how did we lose this drive? I don't know what to do, how to be powerful enough to actually make a change. From what I've planned out, moving out of this country would make more of a positive impact than just staying here. The youth needs to move out and do great thing (not flip burgers in McDonalds or get a job at Tesco or Walmart) but actually study and opt for higher position at already well established places gain experience get rich. Make our own version of systems that have worked around the Globe. This is what the youth can do... the politicians/boomers are not going to do shit for this nation. We have to take matters in our own hands and revive the strive for prosperity that this nation once had or die trying. I mean ffs its so easy we literally have a country like India to follow the example of. If only we could just copy and paste half of their stuff it would do numbers! but again we are Pakistanis we are lazy we would work in a 9 to 5 till we are 45 and can finally buy some plots in DHA or go to UK/Canada and flip burgers our whole life.
At the end of the day all a layman can do is try and get others to try and not lose hope :)

And all the things you mentioned about the responsibility towards our nation and taking care of it, are all the things I agree with, I too want to do something extraordinary for Pakistan and help it gain a good reputation in the world. But, unfortunately we don't have much opportunities to do so in the country, so the only solution is to go out for studies, get educated and then come back to Pakistan with all the skills and information that you required, and try doing something here with your abroad degree.

Marrying is definitely not out of question but if you already are sure then you shouldn't hide this from the female. Given the society we live in there are always people who would fit perfectly with you regardless of the fact that you're attracted to men. Women here are unfortunately not in the best of conditions and companionship matters more than sex any ways. I hope you find someone who will fulfill your emotional needs and you'll fulfill theirs without considering haram. May Allah help you.

Conversion therapy is illegal in western counties mostly due to political and social ideologies than actual science. In these same countries hormone therapy and gender conversion surgeries are legal for MINORS and in some cases without parental consent. Jordan Peterson and Deborah Soh have talked about this many times, look into it. With that said, everything has pros and cons,so your research, find out what the treatment should be like and maybe look for some reputable psychiatrist in the GCC if there aren’t any in Pakistan. May Allah make it easy for that person.

Conversion therapy is bullocks! There are no proven track record that's why it's illegal. What goes on in these sessions also most of the time is torturous and inhumane.
These are mostly run/ headed by people who claim to have been cured themselves or those who claim that they never had that but in fact are closeted (e.g. Markus Bachmann)... and there are hidden networks of abuse there where they prey on vulnerable youth.

Paradigm Shift for The Homosexual Case:
Hi, Junaid please forward this to the guy or if you are reading this, it is for you. Let me put you in another angle which might help you in solving your issue.
It's not always black and white, or Hetro or Homo. It could be a grey zone i.e., Bi-Sexuality.
One of my friends, was Bi-sexual and he had a hard time realizing and accepting this fact because of the nature of the environment he was brought up in Pakistan, he didn't have access to the opposite gender and according to him his personal affinity was towards both (more towards men according to him because of the easy access), Yes, he had those urges toward the same sex, but he considered it as an exam for himself in this world and utilized his half-orientation towards his wife and living happily with 3 kids Alhamdullilah. Your words, which say you kept yourself away from Zina smell like you still believe in the power of Islamic values and let me tell you Islam is the solution in this way as well that when it says get nikkahfied. I am not denying the fact that same-sex attraction doesn't exist, but let's digest this fact as well most guys are far away from the opposite gender and they develop feelings towards the same gender due to our toxic society which makes Zina easier than the nikkah.
The point I am trying to make here is not to jump to a conclusion if you have feelings towards the same sex, give it a chance and explore it in another way. This could be a middle ground and after all, it's all about genetics and the DNA. Your soul is the best litmus test for you, and it's whispered into your body upon Allah's will inside your mother's womb years ago. Trust the process.
I wish that you'll have a good life ahead, free of confusion.

Also i would like to add to your point that finding another person of the same sex as physically attractive doesnt mean by any way that the person is a homsexual. @@ayesha647 Pakistan is a good place for business though. It's in a strategic location, the US just gave 60 million in aid. Pakistani Americans are in the government of the USA, TV Shows, they are artists, pop singers, Chairmen, business owners, a large percentage of UK & US's DOCTORS, millionaires. A Pakistani man owns the Jaguar NFL Football Team. A Pakistani WOMAN became a mayor, two years ago, of a town in the USA 10 minutes away from me. How an individual Pakistani can jump back from poverty, is something you shouldn't doubt. But as a group? Imagine the power. The tourism, I've seen so many Americans go to Pakistan recently. They are making MONEY from their videos of going to Pakistan through TikTok & TH-cam. This place has A lot of worth. But the people in charge clearly cannot organize the country and lead the masses. We need a leader that gathers everyone, for the better. Sadly, the military's interference is undeniable. It's bittersweet, the Military gives us power but it also puts us backwards & behind. As well as the corruption, it calls for a revolution. But hopefully, a diplomatic one, because at the end of the day, if you combine all the Pakistani in the diaspora that still visit Pakistan constantly, the ones living there, there are MORE citizens than the army. How can you just give up and want to go to the West? In the UK they've announced South Asian Muslims as second class citizens. The US & Canada is okay for Pakistani people honestly, there's a lot that are successful here, but it's never going to be where you came from. It's never going to be the land of your ancestors, the birth of your culture, and where so much history took place. I think Pakistani people along the period of colonization, lost a huge sense of community. We were taught by the British divide and conquer, incorporated that into our homes, land, and even committed genocide for it. Along with that, pollution, disease, malaria, and general sickness, terrorism, so many things have scarred the nation. The intelligence services of the country, are one of the most dangerous in the world for a reason along with the CIA, MI6, and others. They're good at controlling society. At this point though, I don't think they work for the benefit of Pakistan at all but are a greater evil.

And because they are financially dependent on husbands, that's why they get abused. Obviously being vulnerable can lead you to being exploitation.
The main issue is that a lot of girls themselves do not want to work (NOT ALL women), they'd rather face abuse than work.
Pakistani women, you need to step up, and be independent. Stop being victims.

a note to that 19-year-old and everyone with the same concerns:
    AoA
hope you all are doing great, being 22 years old I have been through this problem as well and to my understanding, you shouldn't feel for your friends because the problem is not people leaving Pakistan, the problem is people living in Pakistan and hating every bit of it. it's like living in a toxic relationship and it's bad for both parties. I mean how can you be a productive member of a society when you have no sense of belonging there, where you feel like a failure every day, how can you give your 100% when you don't believe in it, so people leaving Pakistan is actually good unless they still hate it afterward. Now coming back to us(people who feel guilty about it) see, it's not your responsibility to fix what you did not break perhaps you can choose to fix it. So make sure that you should have a firm belief in Pakistan before making your final decision because losing in the last moment can not only hurt you but can make you hate Pakistan and if you are running out of reasons to believe it, remembers it just took Prophet (P.B.U.H) 23 years to transform a fascist, fool societies into a superpower who took charge of the world in just 60 years or so, we might not be close any sahaba but teaching a younger generation would be easier than teach people above 40 year old. So, yes go abroad study hard, work hard remember Pakistan in your heart, Stay strong and come back if possible and Inshallah we get through this 💞.

The 33 year old syed girl situation is a challenging one but nevertheless uncommon. However, it’s unfair to generalize men who choose younger/attractive women over her are doing this solely out of a desire to control someone. I think it’s time to stop shaming men for having standards. She places great emphasis on education and wants someone who is her equal in all aspects. What makes her think that such guys who SHE deems to be on her level are interested in her as well?. Men and women have different preferences and there’s nothing wrong with that, as long as both understand what the price for their preference is. I agree with the syed thing being her parents fault but she could’ve started protesting against it a while ago . Instead she waited till her market value drops significantly at the age of 33. Lastly, I think it’s naive to think she’s an absolute victim in this scenario. I’ve known plenty of girls in her situation. Most of them ignored suitable prospects when they were in their prime years due to excuses such as “education” or “personality differences”. Accountability for your choices and actions are necessary. Not everyone gets everything in this life, you have to do your best with where you are and what you are given.

@@fatimaasif3622 I agree, personality differences isn’t an excuse. However, being overly critical about it leads to the inability to pick a spouse. Axiomatically, how are you planning to know exactly how someone truly is, and will remain throughout your entire lifespan with them?. Again, I’m not saying you should exclude compatibility from the equation; however, make sure you aren’t being overly critical of it due to your own neuroticism or perfectionism.
On another note, i admire your attempts on criticizing my “education” or “personality” and being rejected in the marriage market. It’s rather cute :)

No double standards in that at all!!! Men can reject as many women as they like just on looks nothing else and call it standards but are having a go at a doctor who doesn't want to marry a man with no education. Shocking, the world is leaving Pakistani men behind.

You should go to a therapist, there is a difference between psychiatrist, psychologist and a therapist. I assume this problem must have started somewhere in your life. There will definitely be a First moment , or you might have suffered a trauma. Unravel your life, find self love and self awareness. You will get out of these complex feelings.

Allah Most High said, “Must you, unlike [other] people, lust after males and abandon the wives that God has created for you? You are exceeding all bounds.” [26.165-166]
These verses were succinctly explained in Tafsir al-Jalalayn, “What! Of all people you come unto males [to fornicate], and forsake the wives your Lord has created for you?, in other words, [you forsake intimacy with] their front parts? Nay, but you are a transgressing folk’, overstepping [the bounds of] what is lawful into what is unlawful.”
Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu’anhuma) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) said:
‘…Allah’s curse be upon those who do the action of the people of Lut.’ [Nabi (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) repeated this curse thrice!]

the best believers are those who are virtuous, and those who are the best are those who always do good to his wife (khiyarukum khiyarukum li nisa-ikum) Abu Daud: 4682, Musnad Ahmad: 10106)”..
