Just before this it starts off with a brief intro of Shinee In The House that is possibly the best opening for a concert ever, then Sherlock, followed rapid-fire by SHINE and the legendary Jonghyun's high-note Stranger, then Picasso. "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" is part of the intro of the concert, but the whole concert is just as intense and amazing as what you just saw. This performance was from their SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul, so it was in 2015. As you may know, Key is our fashionista of the group and he is known for creating the outfits for a lot of SHINee's MVs and live performances. Key designed several outfits for this concert, including the ones you see them wearing in this set. The embellishments and design for these military style uniformes, were created by him. Key has even been given the official title as SM's director of fashion. If you think this performance was insane, just wait until you see the full concert. They perform like this for 3 hours straight and they never take more than a 5 minute break in between sets to change their clothes and get ready for the next set. If you watch this full set you will see that right after this they immediately follow this song up with their song "Shine" and then their Iconic performance of "Stranger" and then "Picasso." They literally go from one song to the next without even skipping a beat. They don't even have a chance to catch their breath, and yet, right after that, when they interact with the audience, they don't even look or sound like the performance has even started. And they do it all while singing live the whole time. :D "Sherlock" is a special song that combines 2 songs from SHINee's Sherlock album, "Clue" and "Note." That's why the title of this song is "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" If you were to listen to the album you would see that they are two separate songs, but when combined they become "Sherlock." Therefore, as you discovered, Minho's whisper part is different than what you heard in the MV because when they perform it live they chose different parts of "Clue" and "Note" to create "Sherlock" each time. So their performance is never exactly the same, which is one reason why SHINee's concerts are considered one of the best. No matter how many times you have heard a song or seen them perform, you will never get the same thing twice. Those vocals are why SHINee are known as one of the best live performances in Kpop. Jonghyun is one of the best vocalist in the industry, and what you just experienced is why SHINee is one of the most well respected groups around. Even as rookies, Jonghyun and Onew were so well respected for their vocal abilities that they were mentors and vocal coaches for several SM artists, including some of the members of EXO. This whole concert DVD of SHINee World Concert IV in Seoul -- the whole 3+ hours -- has been uploaded to TH-cam by a fan, and it even has English subs for all the parts where they interact with the audience, right in the video, th-cam.com/video/6TknOLesUc4/w-d-xo.html. It doesn't matter how often I see this video, my heart rate still skyrockets! Yes, mind blowing is a great description. I see you seeing Key and I love it😁. But I can't pick a favorite in SHINee, I just can't. I thought it was Jonghyun and Minho, but then Taemin attacked me with his solo work, and Onew attacked me with his vocals, and his SMILE, and Key dropped Gasoline on us. After I watched Gasoline, I picked my mouth up off of the floor, and gave up on choosing a favorite. SHINee will always be 5 bias wreckers, at least for me!
