    Answers for you! The silver blush has mainly silver foliage and longer narrower leaves. The dorayaki only has broad silver veins and a rounder leaf shape. You can’t find what the hybrid is because it’s patented, similar to the anthurium crystal hope (which may or may not be the same as dorayaki, that’s unclear to me) was patented by the Ball Seed Company in 1994-95.

    Literally OBSESSED with anthuriums lately. Just bought my first one yesterday after drooling over them online for ages 💚

    I don’t know if you have the answer yet, but both silver blush and dorayaki are both crystal x crystal, but the plant that came from it mutated into these new versions, kind of like how we got a hundred different types of papilillaminum. They are crystal hybrids, but the thing that changes the fenotype is a mutation

    They are both Silver Blush. If you got it from Indonesia, we call the left one "Silver Blush", while the right one (with more silver) is called "Silver Chrome'.

    For fungus gnats… have you tried making a tea from mosquito dunks or mosquito bits and then using that to water your plants? It works wonders for me.

    My dorayaki x silver blush has very round leaves, almost circular! The pedules are also very short and compact. I’m pretty sure the silver blush is what gives that hybrid it’s striking thick venation and the compactness comes from the dorayaki. I believe the one you show with the prominent veins is a plain silver blush since the leaves are narrower and has longer pedules! Not sure about the one with the completely silver leaves!

    I feel the Crystallinum and Silver Bush when there young and small they look kinda similar both in mature form they look different. Anthuriums Veitchii narrow form and Luxurians looks amazing but pricy. I tend not to buy plants that needs a pole or grows out its roots outside and in 360 form. I prefer plants trailing and stem grows straight up and compact.

    I LOVE Antheriums...I was so afraid of trying them cause of their picky nature so I decided that I would start out with one and see if I could grow them...I got a queen from equageneria and she is doing fab...so next time it will be a big antherium order for sure.

    Such good luck with the variegated babies! I‘be not yet added any anthuriums to my collection yet but I’ve taken care of many at work and they’re just so stunning ✨ I really want to add a clarinervium to my collection to see how it’ll do but I’d love to pick one in person but I haven’t come across any for aaages! So sad haha

    I have a Silver Blush , the veining of yours looks similar to mine, however the leaves are much rounder. Also when you compare it to a Cristallinum they often have a little red around the rim of the leaves and where the pettiole connects to the leaf, the Silver Blush doesn’t, it’s green.

    The Warocqueanum is a wishlist plant for me but I want more anthurium experience before I take the plunge. I bought a clarenurvium seed and some gracile berries to try out.
    If you ever do successfully pollinate, you will be overrun with plants 😅 I have almost 50 gracile & don't know what to do with them
    Those variegated seedlings are so neat! I had no idea anthurium keep the variegation through seeds

    Gorgeous anthurium collection! I love anthuriums, those dark velvety leaves call my name. Regarding the silver blush, I believe they're both silver blush. I've seen the one with more silver, called "full blush" and they sell it a bit more expensive, but who knows what the real name is. Overall I find anthuriums very easy plant and I don't have to do much for them. I'm waiting on an import from Ecuagenera and I can't wait for them to arrive.

    Do you keep them all in a cabinet? I have a Clarinervium, but in normal room humidity, growing in leca, as I have no cabinet.

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      most of them are out of the cabinet actually. The only ones I keep inside cabinet conditions are my warocq, regale, mag x forgetii, and silver blush. But those last 2 could probably handle being out in my flat just as well. not sure about the warocq & regale, I've heard they're more sensitive

    your anthurium collection is so nice ✨ ✨ I only have the clarinervium, magnificum and a small forgetii seedling but this makes me want to get them all, haha. On the other hand, I feel like anthuriums are so cool on their own that they don't really need variegation? Nothing against them, I just find them too much and kinda tacky. That being said, I wish you all the luck with them 🙂

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      oh yeah I defo agree that anthuriums don't need variegation but I'd never seen one before so I figured I'd give it a go!

  • @crochetqueen6440
    @crochetqueen6440 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think chances are they're both silver blush. There's massive variation in anthurium particularly hybrids some take on more characteristics if one than the other

    • @crochetqueen6440
      @crochetqueen6440 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just to add on because I paused then unpaused - if it was a dorayaki it wouldn't be heart shaped, or not as pronounced-ly (words😂) heart shaped as yours is, dorayaki are very round (named after a round japanese pancake 😄).

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  ปีที่แล้ว

      so it's not the first for the crystallinum but it is for the forgetii. I'll probably chop that one then. Thanks for the advice!

    Emma, I have been wondering, and just have to ask, where is this clickable eye (i?) you keep referring to? I don't see anything like that on my youtube. All I see is the show more panel which is below the video, but you keep pointing up? 🙈

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  ปีที่แล้ว

      sooo in the top right hand corner of the videos there's a little thing that pops up that starts with an 'i' in a little circle (like an information sign) and I put links up there to other videos I refer to. Hope that helps!

      Give it a try! I was afraid one Year ago (also the prices then were so high) , tried with silver blush and now for me anthurium is my number 1 genus (?). Big leaves with no need of having moss pole, the enyoj of transformation from tiny Leaf into a big boio. I have stable 20-22 degress of celcius, 50-60% humidity, I know people who have anthuriums in lighty above 40 (Poland) , of course depends on plants and acclimation. They love chonky pottin medium, I grow most of my anthurium in semihydro (also a new medium to me).
