I have a question! : whats the ratio of pine bark and moss ? I wish you would have shown how to mix it up. Do you use more moss or more pine bark or 50 / 50 ? I it want to repot my anthurium and thats why I am asking :) thanks beforehand !
Lol, when people get children and pets they normally get rid of their poisonous houseplants. Bromeliads become popular every decade then people realise that they attract mosquitoes in my area. Plant trends come and go. Species are always much more collectible than the hybrids and tend to keep their value better. The best collection just have species. One of your hybrids is crossed with Anthurium hookeri ‘Garuda’.
You can talk about anything you like 😊looking for plant content led me to your channel but i continue to watch your videos for your quirky hilarious quick witted fun personality. At this point you could make a video on anything and I know it would be fun to watch 👍
Seeing that you say “us that watch need Hoyas”…yes!! We (I) do but will have to wait till after winter. Bought live aquarium plant and it was a block of ice, so all is on hold till spring.😄
We always need hoyas. I cannot wait for spring. 😂 I am going to start to draw them on paper and put up pictures just to imagine where they will go 😂 Winters are hard.
I'm SO stoked that you finally showed off all of your beautiful anthuriums!! I had no idea that you already had such an amazing collection of them! There were a few that I've never seen, but I'm just now dipping my little toe into the anthurium pond😄💚
Thanks for the fertilizer tip! I have not been feeding mine since winter hit so I’ll have to change that. Putting them in the shower seems to be a good way to water them. That’s what I started doing as well.
Thank you for all the great tips! Love your bark/moss mixture. So clever! I wanted a A Veitchii for a while, but I didn’t had the courage to try it. But I will manage after this video!

I really enjoyed this video! My collection is 90% Hoya and 10% Anthurium (with a sprinkle of Philodendron). Baby Anthurium leaves are the most amazing color!
Great video! May I know which pots you are using? I like the transparent look and also how big those pots are. Did you have to create holes on the bottom of the pots to allow for drainage or did it already come that way?

Anthuriums are my favorite Genus!! Some how they’ve just done great for me naturally! I have quite a few kinds but I think my favorite are either my Queens or my Besseae!

I was wondering where you get your clear pots? I have switched a lot of my Hoya to clear cups and realized that it makes my life so much better! I can see when soil is dry and how roots are doing but I have some very massive Hoyas and need bigger pots than clear drinking cups with drain holes.
I get them in a garden center here but they are rarely available and not so easy to find. I have seen that Ecuagenera Europe has them in many sizes and quite affordable too!
That magnificum hybrid is STUNNING😮 I prefer that WAY over the regular magnificum! What is the NPK value of the fertilizer you're using? I'm in the market for a new one because mine is pretty mild and now that I'm getting into more intermediate plants I really need a better fertilizer
The fertilizer I use is RainMix - this is the composition: 11,8N + 2,7P2O5 + 13,7K2O + 11,8CAO + 3,5MGO + 4,8SO3. I also kind of think this hybrid is better than ‘regular’ magnificum but I wish I knew what exactly went into it!

I wish this was true for me, although I think I am finally figuring out how my anthurium want to be cared for. I recently got bit by the Hoya bug and so far all of my 2 leaf cuttings are now getting full and are all starting to trail!!! For some reason, I am getting browning tips and margins on a lot of my anthurium, except my magnificum is doing so so well!! Every leaf (I think it has 7 or 8 now- with 2 new leaves hardening off too!), is still perfect after about caring for and trying to learn who to take care of them for about 6-8 months…. My crystallinum came to me with browning tips and margins, but my regales older leaves also have the same problem; only the newest leaf (which is much bigger than all of the previous leaves), is pristine. Almost all of the leaves on the crystal are crispy at the tips, and on the regale, the crisping and browning portion on the leaves is even migrating upward all the way to approximately the lower third of some of the older leaves. I’ve had the regale for about 8 or 9 months. I am staying positive that I’m figuring her out because the newest leaf is still looking so so good, though. Any tips anyone has to offer to help me continue to grow pretty leaves would be much appreciated!! I do (mostly) water with distilled water because I heard that tap water could be the problem, and I have also started keeping the medium from drying out. I admit I used to let them dry out too much. My 5 cents to the topic Anthurium which may or may not be of use to you and the community: be careful with the usage of nutrients, salts, insecticides. @@peggyp3682 thank you. I have been using the sticky traps, peroxide, fungus spray, Bonide systemic granules and pest sprays. It happened when I got the last bag of Black Gold potting mix. It has a lot of bark and things that look like sticks in it. Do you know of a mix without all that wood in it?
@@karenb136 Dang! You've killed all my suggestions. RePotme has a mix for jewel orchids and bromelieds. I mix that with coconut husk. It's airy and encourages good roots
🌿❤️🌿
The anthurium magnificum hybrid looks like a nigrolaminum gigi X Crystallinum. So maybe a Mag x Gigi hybrid 🤷♂️
Thank you!!! I will look into it 💚
Love the clarivervium but have a forgetii
I think I prefer forgetii to clarinervium :D
i've had all my anthuriums for about 2 years and they all look like poop. except my warocqueanum???
That looks like my anthurium insigne
💚
I agree about peperomias. Peperomias are stupid. I do like calatheas though. I have calathea magic. 😉
😂 Calatheas are definitely easier for me too but I got sick of spider mites.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
💚💚💚 (since there is no spinach emoji!)
I recently got my first anthurium. 😬😅
Congratulations! :D They are lovely addition to hoyas. Which one did you get?
@@BasiePlants it’s a baby dorayaki. Very cute! 💚
@@hoyamaniac8426 oh that one is indeed super cute! Definitely on my list, but I heard it is a bit hard to grow so I am scared to get it 😂
I love your channel, but that kind of peperomia slander is uncalled for. 😂😂😂😂😂
😂 I do like them, but it is so hard to keep them for me. Even when I got the potting mix and watering right and they thrived, all it took was minor thrips infestation to take them out.
It's a South American plant, so it is pronounced, Caramelensay. Not Caramelens. Just so you know...
Anthuriums, ho hum…. Just keep mentioning hoyas every few minutes and I will continue to pay attention… ( it would also help if you had some footage of hoyas randomly) please Miro.
Anthuriums are not that bad 😂
I totally agree. They are nice… but they are not on the same level as hoyas.
But really ...Hoyas...
I know 😂 I do now want to add sulawesiana to my collection - the leaves remind me of some of those strap-looking anthuriums!
excuse me sir, but this is anthurium hoarding and I’m calling the POLICE #noimnot
Hahahah 😂 I must hide them then! 😄
I don't understand what u r doing to tell plz don't make fool to people to get. View plz if u need comment me will send i
#STOPPEPEROMIAHATE ;)
Raise your hand if you have been personally victimized by Peperomias. #stoppeperomias 😂
@@BasiePlants Shhhhh. I'm still watching.
I really didn’t like it.
