I just used this clamp today on the brace of a really nice Prenkert Classical guitar. It was the angled brace at the bottom of the fan brace, next to the edge of the guitar. I'm lucky to have bought this clamp because now it looks like they're not making it anymore. It is really great, if you can find one!!
@@luthiersmercantileinternat5786 Me too!! There's nothing better than this clamp for those hard-to-reach loose braces at the edges. It actually was a gift, as well. I bet the tooling to make one of these is quite a job!
I just bought 30 pounds of scrap Delrin plastic. Glue does NOT stick to Delrin either! I also bought an 8"x5"x1" slab of Delrin. I made a version of the Mac Stew brace cauls, & crack repair cauls with the Delrin. Acetyl Delrin is strong, and you cannot glue the cauls to the guitar, no matter how hard you try. The clean off easily, and really work a treat.
This is another great tip, now back to work!!!
