Jodi and Nick react to the final part of this Rematch episode for 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Jodi and Nick thought they would end this in two more videos but they were having so much fun they just finished the rest of the episode. Does Sean beat Jon or lose again?

No clues to the conundrum , it's a 30sec word puzzle . The game becomes less important as the series develops to some outrageous comedy . Jimmys introductions are legendary .
I think the word your looking for is ANAGRAM. I only know the word from OFAH the frogs legacy episode👍
americans love competition they will find it even if it’s a small amount.
Jon would never throw a chair, but if he did he would probably walk over and pick it back up.😂
Haha, like what Russell Howard told, Jon was so angry once he wanted to smash a cup ...but he actually wrapped it in a towel first so it didn't make a mess!
Definitely more complete episodes. They are great to watch and play along and I think John was proper annoyed
yeah. just radomly one of the later ones.
Fun watching two teachers take 2 minutes and 45 seconds to try and solve a 30-second math(s) puzzle!
😂😂
I actually went for an audition for 'Countdown' around 25 years ago ! It took place at the Holiday Inn in Southampton , and took the form of about 12 of us sitting around a large table playing a low-tech version of the game . I was joint leader after round 1 but I was rubbish after that. Unsurprisingly, I got a letter a week or two , saying I hadn't made it on to the show, (filmed in Leeds in those days). However I DID pass an audition for '15 to 1' but very frustratingly I was the first person to be eliminated after I got my first two questions wrong without even giving an answer. I did eventually make a correct educated guess to one of them, (which would have got me through to Round 2), but the buzzer preceded my delayed answer !! 😪😂. This was back in the day when Richard Whiteley and William G Stewart were the respective presenters.
Countdown was the first programme broadcast on Channel 4:when that channel started around 1981 I think. It used to get good ratings until it was pushed back from 4:30pm on weekdays to an early afternoon slot. Still, at least new series keep being made to this day. 👍
My Dad was on 15 to 1 and was the 10th one eliminated. He was so annoyed with himself for getting the answer wrong and we never heard the end of it. The second programme on Channel 4 was Ptang Yang Kipperbang.
Sorry I'm just an Aussie and only heard of it when I started watching Jimmy Carr. When did Carol Vorderman join.
@@r-loc2602 Thanks Mate. It's a bit of a shame but people sometimes don't realise that in the end someone else will take over from them. From my limited knowledge of only seeing her a few times Carol seemed charming and attractive.and intelligent.
@@matthewcullen1298 Carol left do to Richard whiteley passed away.

You two remind me of the conversation/ competition I have with myself when playing countdown!
Great reaction from you two, very funny. Yes John was annoyed at losing I think more so because that last numbers game was easy. It would be great if you could do longer reactions like this one
"Is that really all they get?"
materialism at its finest
i love that youre getting into this! great stuff
The smugness when you finaly got one right, priceless. I must admit though, I am enjoing these reactions.
loving watch you guys reacting in real time to this.
They are all comfortable in their own skin and the annoyance is just for fun.
i really hope you continue with the countdown reactions they are alot of fun!
This program is required viewing in our house- My wife and I play along, but aren't much better than you. When it routinely features two teams of two, this show reaches GOAT tier programming.
Its great you are having a go . Its all about having a laugh no matter how well you do.
The way you guys are breaking down 8oo10cdc so you can see an entire episode is cool. I wish you would do that for full episodes of WILTY.
love you guys watching this, and playing along, like we do in the UK,
on a second note, you guys need your own TV show, We will call it 2 out of 10 teachers
A tip for the word games. Look for endings like ERS, ING, IEST... if you find one of those half the time you can then make a decent word, usually 7 letters
Thanks for all of your hard work guys!
At each break, the teaser Jimmy gives is for a conundrum and he gives the answer after the break 😊
Before you start the numbers round write your 75 times table on your sheet.
Did you like Jimmy's tower. Oh no... you missed it🤣🤣🤣
Really - having a little dig about that? It was hardly a highlight.
12:00 reminds me of back in school when the guy sitting next to you just HAD to talk through every single calculation. Loudly.
:D
Thanks BRNJ this was wonderful.
I'm not sure if you'll be able to ignore Jimmy so easily during the countdown sections in future seasons lol
Cheers ma'dears!
I was thinking waterlog as in waterlogged - but maybe there's no such word - or maybe I screwed up anyway. I hardly ever solve any of the puzzles - I think just once on ten years the conundrum leaped out at me out of pure luck.
If you want to play the game seriously, then watch regular “Countdown” from Channel 4. Which is a long running TV show broadcast at about 3:00pm for old people to watch before they die. If you want to have fun, then watch the parody version, “8 out of 10 cats does countdown” (alps by Channel 4). This started as a comedy spoof of then show, but grew into a better show than the original. Skip to season 3, you’ll be sweet.
“Is that really what they get?”
You know you’d be absolutely thrilled to win one. :-)
Just thought I would pass this along. I’m from West Virginia and in the comments section of a different channel I responded to someone’s comment. Back and forth a couple times and then they said something about this channel, the name if it and that you were both teachers. They were from Scotland. I said I also follow your channel. Lol, I just thought that it was interesting to interact with someone else on a different channel that followed you guys as well. Thanks for the great content.
Anywhere near Wheeling?
@@leohickey4953no, Putnam County, near Winfield, in that area anyways. You?
I got the last numbers one, but that was the only one I got exact this episode.
8x50=400-3=397 . Best I managed WHILE THE CLOCK WAS RUNNING .
Excellent 😂👍🏽enjoyed that🤘🏽the next episodes are even better👌🏽
A lot of the comedians write down the 75 times table before they start. I wondered if it would help so printed one off the laptop. I wouldn't play the game without it now. It's one heck of an advantage bringing the 75 into play.
You guys are cheating, you only get 30 seconds to get the total 😂😂
Trawler and WATERLOG for eight
Trawler is 7 letter
Nick, you were almost there with the numbers. If you had subtracted 8 from 75, before multiplying by 6: (75 - 8) * 6 - 3 - 3 = 396. Alternatively: 6 * 50 + 75 + 8 * 3 - 3 = 396. Rachel said there were a few ways to get there, but I didn't spot her method in the time. You guys might want to pause before the countdown as you might miss comedic things which go on during the countdown; especially in later series. Do you know this programme started life as just a one-off "mash up" of 2 shows: 8 out of 10 cats and Countdown (the normal, more serious/competitive, afternoon version of this show); but it was so popular, they began making regular series?
An easier way would have been 75+50+8 = 133 x 3 = 399 -3
@@stalk05 fair enough. To be completely honest: I'm not sure how one would define "easier"; surely that's subjective. It wasn't my intention to "out shine" anyone. I only commented because when Nick mentioned 75 * 6 it struck me that he was essentially just one step away: once one has (75 - 8) * 6 = 402 then I believe subtracting both 3s would be a "no brainier". I did also include the solution which I got to within the time, but only for reference/comparison; it wasn't my intention to suggest that it's a superior solution in any way. With hindsight, I probably prefer: (75 - 8 - 3 / 3) * 6.
I can get the numbers answer in seconds. I use my Computer.🧸 I find you both Funny and Entertaining.
Great reaction guys. Do more countdown. 😉👍
Cush”in for when she’s pushing down 😂
Jodie dies of embarrassment 😅
You should check out Sean locks best bits on 8 out of 10 cats. 😂
Well, to be fair, Rachel knows her 13 times tables. lol
The 9 times table is easy all you do is take 1 off and put it in front 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63 and so on 👍
Joe Wilkerson outrageous poem
Well done Nick...''it's one small step'', and all that. Be careful tho, Countdown is highly addictive.
What must have been additionally annoying for John was that Clarke Carlisle used to play for the football team John supports.
A bit more practice and you'll give Joe Wilkinson a run for his money
High praise indeed.
Jon was upset. Take a look at probably the hardest quiz show on UK TV, called only connect.
For the Toupee round I got Toupeed for a seven letter word. Curiously it is in the Oxford Dictionary but not in Webster's.
We really enjoys these types of video reaction very fun to watch , please think about reactions to who wants to be a millionare uk questions game for big money much love ❤
Poor Jodi looked very bemused after that last numbers round. I love how you guys have that inner competitive streak. It really shows character that you want to do your best.
You guys could practice at home by making your own countdown numbers cards.
You need 24 cards in total.
4 cards numbered 25, 50, 75 and 100.
2 sets of cards numbered 1-10.
The big numbers are always on the top row. A row of 4 cards consisting of the 100, 75, 50 and 25. Jumble them up and place them face down.
The small numbers on the bottom 3 rows are numbered 1-10 using the remaining 20 cards. Jumble them up and place them face down in rows of 6,7 and 7.
You pick out 6 random cards. Make up a 3 digit target and get solving.
If you are going to play along, you need to stop when the clock stops
Agreed. The pausing is cheating. Accept you didn't get it and move on.
I think they know they haven't got it if it's not in the 30 seconds. They just really want to improve. I find it a bit amusing watching them struggle it out. Don't be too much of a stickler for the rules. If they work it out after and think they've won it then the security can step in 💂.
I just seen the part where he raised his arms in victory while saying he got it. If he wants to really try get it it's acceptable but there's no win there. Send in the boys.
dont worry my family and me were terrible playing along after school haha.
When they were picking balls out the ball and saying the football teams, they do that for FA cup and league Cup draws but numbers.
Not gonna lie, I was proud of myself getting the 527 within 5 seconds.
Lee mack and pontins on this show is funny
Omg the conundrum was funny. But now u know
There was no *O* for Rosebush!
one of the few maths challenges I've managed. I did 50+25+8=133 x3=399 and - the last 3 for 396
75-8 = 67, multiply by 6 = 402, then subtract the two 3s = 396 🙂
(50-6)*3*3 also works
I did 50*6, add 75. And then add (8*3-3)
26:53
Nick unknowingly trashing his wife’s ability to think and concentrate on an anagram by introducing, and brainstorming loudly, a made up game not alluded to in ANY WAY of “let’s solve the non-existent riddle” for absolutely no reason at all.
He was mixing up the conundrum that takes place between the ads. Thinking the word on screen may have been some kind of clue. So there kind of was a reason, but yes, he was confused.
Oi you two, please bear in mind that, you only have 30 seconds to achieve both games🤓
Play scrabble . That will help
i like competitive jodie very cute 😉😘your a lucky man👍🏻
Sometimes, overshooting helps:
When the target was 396
8 X 50 = 400
400 - 4 = 396
(If the numbers allow. The point is, sometimes think of overshooting the target in order to reach it. :-)
there is no 4.
which s why the closest i could get was 395
8x50-400
3/3=1
1-6=5
400-5
Rosebush?!? Bobbins mate.
cant believe you guys actually gave a ❤ for the bot
If you are good with numbers the math will be easy, I am terrible but my brother has been a math genius ever since we were kids.
I felt that satisfaction Nick when you got it! lol yeah! I cheered for you! and gave Jodi a 'tut tut' and rolled my eyes!
The conundrum is just an anagram you unscramble.
😂😂😂😂😊😊. Thank you for sharing this.
You could keep building until you have a skyscraper, you would still be hopeless at this.
it seems the easiest game shows biggest cash prizes , original countdown no big money just in it for test your intellect .
As the series go on each series gets better and John is always the butt of all jokes and always act pissed off 👍🇬🇧.
Racheal has a degree in Maths or something like that which is why she is quick with the maths equations..
527. Your birthday. Great!
Excellent.
Now. Your mother’s maiden name?….
You get 30 seconds, not as long as you want
How long would student stay in classroom if he/she speaks speaks out loud, during the test?
i know this is absolutly off topic but im curious, if the dollar doesnt have different sizes, how do blind people know how much the bill is?
The way I did the maths one was (50+75+8)x3 - 3 = 396
can you please do reactions to jon richardson's stand up routines? i think you'll enjoy him!
An easier way to get 396 would have been 50 x 6 then add 75 for 375. 3 x 8 is 24 then add to make 399 then take away the last 3.
25+ seasons, enjoy
How could it be rose bush, theres no letter o and its only 8 letters long
And only 1 S
On your thumbnail it should be Nick one side and Jodi the other, as if you're the teammates .
Two teachers on that last math round struggling 😂 I'm heading to the USA to teach .
Love your cheating mode
so glad you two caught the bug on this show - it really IS about the banter not the word/number/smithery. but heres a tip: learn your 75xs table (it helps in the numbers round), im no mathmatician (pedagocial professor) but it helps ;)
People keep saying that but the actually competitive aspect can lead to some classic moments. I know some don't take in the rounds when they go in but many people do give it a shot and enjoy the effort as well as the banter.
Avid watcher , but never seen this one
This has been really fun playing along with you, thanks
To blow your mind completely, look up the Most Extraordinary Countdown Numbers Game ever. It's very old and from the original Countdown
Rosebush is 8 letters by the way
idea is to do the maths in 30 seconds.
6/3 =0.5 50-0.5 = 49.5 49.5x8 =396 so the way I got that is look at the finished number divide it by the numbers you have then think if you can make that number. so 396/8 = 49.5 so I have a 50 can I make a 0.5 to subtract from that 50, yes 3 divided by 6.
Does America have a big quiz culture??. My family love it, pub quiz, family quiz, the chase, eggheads and if you want feel really dumb try Only connect with Victoria Coren Mitchell. Most of the time i don't even understand the questions.!
None of them are "clues", they're all jumbled letters with which you have to make 1 full word.
Husbandry 10 secs i thankyou
Technically you can have around 3 minutes for the conundrum in the middle, an advert/commercial break would be shown after it is first shown.
This show got SO much better as it went on. Later episodes are awesome.
The episodes have been awesome since it began !!!!!!! .
If you pee every hour you need to try not to. It's become a habit, if you can't stop go to a doctor
It’s a medical condition. The medicine’s side effects are worse than it helps, so I just deal.
Math was easy 50x6 +75, 8×3 then add together then take the 3 👍😃
I didn't even think about 8x50=400, LOL. I got 395 though
6*75 = 450
-50 = 400
- 8 + 3 =395
I did 75 - (3x3) = 66 x 6 =396
The whole point is to give your answer after 30 seconds so neither of you have ever completed a numerical or alphabetic challenge
