As an Australian, I think there are several things that need to happen to enable this: 1) Ranked choice voting - that allows 3rd parties/independents a chance; 2) Compulsory voting - stops voter suppression in its tracks; and 3) All elections (and boundaries) should be run by a nonpartisan federal agency.

I am an Independent in Arizona. Well before the Primary election here, I'll get a notice from the Registers Office, giving me a choice of which party's Primary election I wish to vote in. I've also voted by Mail for many years and its' never been a problem.

I’ve been thinking the same but also thinking she understands that. I would guess that she will eventually, not fully endorse, but at least say that she is voting for Biden. However, if we survive, I could see her running in 2028.

I am an Independent in Arizona. Well before the Primary election here, I'll get a notice from the Registers Office, giving me a choice of which party's Primary election I wish to vote in. I've also voted by Mail for many years and its' never been a problem.
Liz unites decent republicans and independents into a true conservative party with conservative values. Run, Liz run. Democracy in USA is the most important but not the best. Two parties in USA are not good for the country. Two parties fight each other for power and interest of their own instead of the country. There are many countries with three or more parties, where common sense tends to win.

My friend brought up a very interesting point the other day: she said the focus on who the Vice President is will be as important as who is elected president.
While I disagree with Liz Cheney,, I do want to read her book. The fact that she stood up to her party was amazing and I want to hear about that. I also recommend to others to read Cassidy Hutchinson's book Enough as well. It was an interesting read.
