The Air Gear OVAs aren't a mashing of episodes, they are battles from the manga that the anime wont get to since they stopped making it. So it allows people who read the manga to see the animated battles, which might be one of the best ideas ever - read the story in the manga, then see the awesome battles in the OVAs
the girl on the left is kururu she became ikki's link tuner once he was crowned wind king right after where the anime ends. this scene shows the 3 girls left kururu middle simca right ringo all trying to help ikki by giving him info and they hope by helping him they can win some points because they are fighting to be the one to stand by his side.

@geekboyish Not enough budget to air it on America. Voice actors either quitted or got fired. No place to put the show. These things are good reasons why.
i know it got cancelled, because of Naruto Rock Lee spinoff but idk why they just didnt take another timeslot, i heard bleach is gonna continue in 2 weeks :D

I see the show OVA being mentioned a lot in these AMVs which show animation shorts that the official Air Gear series did not get up to, (i actually don't know what AVM stands for either), can someone care to explain the connection between the two.
bleach isn't coming back and it didn't get cancelled because of the naruto spin off. it got cancelled because the filler was killing the show. no one was watching the filler because they are crap so they just ended it. bleach wont return until the final arc is complete. the only one to blame is the manga artist who doesn't know how to pace a manga and make a chapter that has tons of panels and text.
yeah the ovas are bad ass. If you just watch the anime like me you are actually missing out on a lot. The story gets really crazy (from what i read on the wiki). my top animes to have another season 1.Air Gear 2.Kaze no Stigma 3. Highschool of the dead 4.code geass (3rd season) 5. negima? and negima!! why would this anime stop when naruto goes on forever. I still like naruto and bleach but their story is as good as dbz (great show just not the greatest storyline)
