One of the few times sacrifice was used properly. Many characters (Danzo, Hiruzen. Fugaku) in this show talked about having to sacrifice this or that, but it was never them sacrificing anything, just other people. He was not the only one in the show that did (Minato, Kushina, Shisui), but I think he lived with the weight of it longer than any of those that made a conscious choice (exempts Naruto as choice was made for him). Itachi took others lives, but many had plans to do just that to the Village, not just the ninja, so innocent, not really. The difference is he threw his own life and dreams away as well. He did not personally gain anything and lost so much. He hoped Sasuke could be part of a new future and gave him everything. Protected the Leaf and the greater world. Should have been a hero, but was viewed as a villain. Continued to protect the Leaf even after they villainized him. If Hiruzen had an actual backbone in his body, *Kakashi would have been released from ANBU as Minato intended. *Danzo would have been dead or imprisoned and not able to ruin so many lives. *Danzo could not have aided Orichimaru, placed all the blame on Itachi, orchestrated the Uchiha massacre to gain power, killed Shisui to gain power, or destroyed so many children's lives with both Root and Orichimaru. *Orichimaru would not have been a threat because he would have killed him instead of allowing him to escape. All those people, including infants and children which Orichimaru callously used as test subjects would have been spared a life of torture and death all so Orochimaru could possess all jutsu and be immortal. One of the few times sacrifice was used properly. Many characters (Danzo, Hiruzen. Fugaku) in this show talked about having to sacrifice this or that, but it was never them sacrificing anything, just other people. He was not the only one in the show that did (Minato, Kushina, Shisui), but I think he lived with the weight of it longer than any of those that made a conscious choice (exempts Naruto as choice was made for him).
Itachi took others lives, but many had plans to do just that to the Village, not just the ninja, so innocent, not really. The difference is he threw his own life and dreams away as well. He did not personally gain anything and lost so much. He hoped Sasuke could be part of a new future and gave him everything. Protected the Leaf and the greater world. Should have been a hero, but was viewed as a villain. Continued to protect the Leaf even after they villainized him.
If Hiruzen had an actual backbone in his body,
*Kakashi would have been released from ANBU as Minato intended.
*Danzo would have been dead or imprisoned and not able to ruin so many lives.
*Danzo could not have aided Orichimaru, placed all the blame on Itachi, orchestrated the Uchiha massacre to gain power, killed Shisui to gain power, or destroyed so many children's lives with both Root and Orichimaru.
*Orichimaru would not have been a threat because he would have killed him instead of allowing him to escape. All those people, including infants and children which Orichimaru callously used as test subjects would have been spared a life of torture and death all so Orochimaru could possess all jutsu and be immortal. All those people's blood is on Hiruzen's hands. He even made sure to hide Orichimaru's depravity from the Village because it would hurt the parents and families of his victims to find out. Everyone in the Leaf is my family, my a$$.
@@marikka9347 That´s why Jiraiya didn´t went to see him during the first Naruto during chunnin arc. He knew how Hiruzen and Danzo influence and decisions really affected the village. He didn´t want to look at his face. Hiruzen was a huge scumbag in a nice old man clothes. At least he had the backbone to face Orochimaru. Danzo had jealousy towards Uchiha clan, even put their eyes in his transplanted arm.
